I can agree with everything apart from the in ring performer own Sir.

Naomi has been in the business for a very long time... She knows how to play the script very well.

If Charlotte goes... She won't be missed at all

Baba, she will be missed. Even when she went on break sometime back, she was missed. The main problem with Charlotte is that she's almost never booked to put anyone over but e go sure everybody die say the match will be fire.

Naomi is solid in the ring, no doubt. But Naomi has never carried a match the way Charlotte has on multiple occasions.

Who agrees with me?
Some people are saying Punk's run has been boring. This is the truth, but has little to nothing to do with Punk himself; It's the booking. The goal of every wrestler in any wrestling company is competition; to be the best and have the title to prove it. When this law isn't obeyed, then there's a problem. Since Punk came his goal has been to do other things aside be the best which his catchphrase says, and what I mean by 'being the best' is focussing on being the best wrestler and winning a title. He's not doing that and it's wearing everyone out gradually, bad booking Tony. You can mention every other thing, but this is the root of the not too exciting run he's having.
He wants to help others, maybe he should manage them. He's going through ring rust, maybe he should have trained properly before stepping in the ring again. But, if he wants to wrestle and be the best in the World again, he should run though that roster and beat everyone who steps in his way till he becomes the World champion as he did times before.
That's my take.
What's yours?
Punk should have been used sparingly. Mostly wrestling at PPVs with a few TV matches sprinkled in between. Plus the creative freedom at AEW probably makes it difficult to get most of the top roster to agree to putting him over.

well I disagree. His return promo is one of the best I've heard since he left. No one has touched that level except let's say John Cena. As for his matches, he's been regarded by veterans as one of the few to actually put on standard wrestling matches in AEW today asides Danielson. He's slower that's all I can say, but I insist it's the bookings.
Meanwhile Pu7pl3, can't a wrestler still go at 42?

That promo was good, nothing otherworldly...after the euphoria of his return died down I listened to it again and it didn't feel the same...and his subsequent promos after that have left alot to be desired unlike Cole and Danielson that have been killing it on the mic back to back...

His matches havent been great too and it's probably cos he never was God-tier in the ring (in talking Rollins, Balor and Styles level) coupled with the fact that he took years off...

And yes, a wrestler can go at 42, look at Chris Jericho or AJ Styles or Bobby Roode

I'mma have to disagree on that first point. That promo hit hard and I'm saying it as someone who only found time to listen to it after the euphoria of his return had died. It felt raw and emotional.

Can't speak for the subsequent ones as I don't really have the time to follow AEW faithfully but I'll chalk it up to him not having established a character yet. Punk's promo strength is bolstered by his character work

I'll put it as: I have more high hopes for the guy in AEW, his promo work truly impresses me to this day and I believe he can do more though with a strong character and booking. On his promo work he will always be good-otherworldly depending on what he is given to work with but don't expect toomuch from his actual matches

okay, let's leave the physicals a bit and talk about the mentals, his in-ring psychology, move coordination, how he leads the matches and the other guy follows, the story he is telling in the matches, his selling... The physical things can give him a poor mark, but these other things mentioned have been GREAT since he came back. Many people complain that AEW doesn't follow standard wrestling methods, hence the phrases like "spot fest" and "Indy wrestling garbage" being thrown at them, but Punk's matches have been able to close the gap between AEW's routine matches and a stardard classic wrestling match and it's clear the company as a whole is beginning to learn from him and Bryan as regards that. He might be bronze or silver in the ring at the moment, but as an inspiration and a mentor to the younger talent, he is gold.
My hopes are still high.

If you talk about influence on the roster I can't argue with you on that, the man is a legend so he is by default an inspiration and those in ring acumen you mentioned comes with experience which he has loads of thanks to ROH and WWE

WWE RAW REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS

Where They Do That At?
I don’t understand what Raw is doing with Bianca Belair. The EST is the hero of the story with Becky, right? Overall, she’s the babyface of the division, right? Yet, she’s now missed out on four consecutive chances to get a belt around her waist. And each of those times were due to nefarious reasons. I get that leaves the door open for a rematch with Becky down the line, but it’s tough seeing how this does anything for her.
As the heel, Becky can lose the belt and find some way to weasel her way back into the scene because that’s what bad people in wrestling do for a living. Becky was desperate in this match, willing to do whatever it takes to prove to the crowd they’re ungrateful and disrespectful. And she did that. Her interview later on Raw made that perfectly clear and she’s still disappointed with the “fickle” audience. Now it looks like Liv Morgan, fresh off taking the L last week, wants to challenge Becky.
How, Sway? By that logic, Carmella has more rights to a title shot than Liv. Oh and of course, Bianca said nothing the rest of the night about Becky cheating again to beat her. More importantly, we didn’t hear from Bianca the rest of the night. She didn’t go after Becky for cheating—as was her right—nor did she do what any actual human being would’ve done in that situation. This hurts the EST, as Cain pointed out. As a Bianca fanboy, I can put that love aside and be objective. That said, fanboy or not, losing four title contests isn a row is a bad look.
The two put on a fantastic match but the ending and the aftermath just doesn’t sit right with me.

Promises, Promises
When in doubt—and lack of compelling story—WWE retreads to the tried and true “Face of Raw” narrative. Kevin Owens believes he has the face for the Red brand and just to prove that point, he believed there was no time like the present to battle Big E one-on-one for the first time. No title on the line, but just two cats who respect each other going at it to see who reigns supreme. KO even told Seth Rollins, who claimed he was on KO’s side and promised the Canadian a title shot if/when he becomes champion, that he doesn’t need his help. In fact, he went so far to say he wouldn't accept Seth’s help, even if he chose to give it.
It was a meaty affair, for those of you who like your wrestling with a lot of beef slapping. And it was almost a very clean match until Seth, a man of his word, made his way to ringside. For a while, he was cool with spectating; oohing and aahing from the sidelines. But with things not looking good for KO, Rollins smacked the champ with his contract while the ref wasn’t looking.
Guess who went for the cover? If you said “Seth Rollins” then you’re clearly not reading correctly and what show are you watching? KO saw his chance and jumped on Big E like a fumbled football. E, always on point, reversed the pin and walked out of Providence, RI with a win. But his trust in KO went the way of the dinosaur. KO feigned ignorance, saying he had no clue what Seth did and he’s still an honest cat. KO challenged Seth to a match next week to punish him for his instigation, but E didn’t care.
Seriously, he said he didn’t care. KO’s apology meant nothing to him, and he dished out a Big Ending to KO to fully express his anger.
This story started very meh. I don’t care about the struggle for the Face of Raw. It’s more tired than a college kid suffering a hangover. Big E learning how treacherous it is to be WWE Champion, and adding more controls to his personality could be dope. But maybe this is just me using a magnifying glass to find any depth in the WWE Championship picture.

The Rest
Son of a...
Rey Mysterio and Austin Theory put on a pretty damn good match. The story included Domink Mysterio, who just so happened to be ringside. Austin goaded the young Mysterio before the match started and, duh. his troll game paid dividends. Right when Rey had the match in the bag with a 619 dialed up, Domink’s pride got the best of him. He picked the wrong time to retaliate after Theory poked the bear one too many times, and got his dad DQ’d. Good thing Domink is a grown man taller than his dad, because what he did here? That calls for a flogging.

Safari Drip
Whew, Lord. Seth’s suit looks like he’s getting ready to give a jungle cruise tour. Maybe that’s the real reason Big E felt it necessary to get in his face this week. The two jousted back and forth about their upcoming title match and who the true Face of Raw is. E was ready to get it on but Seth—as the heel—pumped all the brakes and said their match will happen on his time. Kevin Owens came down to stake his claim to being the Face of Raw. If you’re this far down in this review, you already know what came from all of this.

Beauty Queens
Carmella and Queen Zelina told the Raw women’s locker room that they rule the roost. They also insulted Nikki A.S.H.’s mask because...well, you’ve seen it. Super Brutality wasn’t having it this week, and challenged Mela and Her Highness to a tag match. A solid enough match, the tag champs took the L. So, we know this means they’re getting a shot at the tag titles soon.

Alpha Demon?
Finn BáIor and Chad Gable put on a clinic this week. Should be no surprise to anyone reading this review, but I figured I should repeat it. Finn needed some momentum after coming up short in two big spots in consecutive weeks, and the Alpha Academy needed to let cats know they’re not for play on Mondays. Mission accomplished on both fronts.

Whole Lotta Smoke
Street Profits want the smoke. The Dirty Dawgz said the smoke is theirs to claim. And RK-Bro sat at the announce table. So, yeah, there was a whole lot of smoke in the arena for this tag match between the Profits x Dawgz. And just like last week, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins fell victim to the distraction known as Omos. A post match beat down popped off with Omos giving the Profits a lot of work. Riddle got involved to “do the right thing” And guess what? That was also a bad idea. No clue where AJ Styles is, but Omos seems hellbent on singlehandedly wrecking Raw’s entire tag team scene.

Man vs. Himself
Apparently, Damian Priest now embodies man’s internal struggle. Still weird we’re here and I don’t quite understand why. Did he need gimmick alteration? Those decisions are above my pay grade. But if this is the thing we’re doing, then WWE needs to go all in on showing and not telling. Priest unleashed the “Damien” here, which was telegraphed since he and T-BAR tangoed in a no DQ match. After getting the W over T-BAR, the United States champ found himself in a showdown with Apollo Crews. Crews wants what Priest has. The champ is going to need a lot of anger to handle Apollo and Commander Azeez.

24-7 Chicanery
Another backstage segment with Reggie running and ducking for his life. This time, John Morrison lent his Zen advice to Reggie’s pursuers. Something tells me they won’t listen. Also? Can we stop doing this?

Raw was fine this week. Not an excellent show by any means and not a failure either. An average show with wrestling ranging from average to fantastic, along with some head-scratching decisions, and a couple stories that have potential based on the people involved.
A passing grade for a passing show.
Grade: C+

WWE NXT REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS

Cheap Trick
New school vs. old school was the theme of the night. The young cats, feeling themselves after Halloween Havoc, aren’t afraid of NXT’s legends. How else can you explain Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams interrupting Tommaso Ciampa sans fear? While Ciampa wanted to take a victory lap and tell all his doubters to eat crow, Hayes and Williams had a message of their own to deliver. After telling the NXT champ that the Hayes is THE champion of the rainbow brand and a new day is dawning, Ciampa walks out of the ring for a brief interaction with his old pal, Johnny Gargano, who just so happened to be on his way to the ring for tonight’s main event. And that’s the segue I needed.
Hayes x Williams wanted revenge on Dexter Lumis x Gargano for last week’s haunted house chicanery. And they dominated for the most part. Lumis and Gargano got a few spots in, and it was adorable when they both put on slasher gloves to do psycho things, but the young boys were always one step ahead of them. The ending of the match kept that narrative alive when Hayes clocked Lumis with his shoe when the referee was distracted.
Trick x Melo get the win, allowing Melo to back up his claim of being the “leader of the new school.”
Ciampa, even while dripping in sarcasm, was right about one thing: Halloween Havoc was a changing of the guard in NXT. Trick x Melo, interrupted Ciampa and hit a legitimate psychopath in the head with a shoe, two things unthinkable many moons ago.
The times, they are a changing.

The Rest
The Champ is Here
Mandy Rose, NXT’s new Women’s champ, batted lead off this week. Her promo was both “told ya so” and prediction, as she reveled in her victory, Toxic Attraction’s dominance, and promised it wouldn’t stop. While further establishing Mandy, ahem, 2.0, it set up her beef with Io Sharai. Their back and forth, if you can all it that, established a theme of the night: the new school isn’t afraid of the old school. Mandy sucker punched Io to further her point, leading to a full on Toxic Attraction attack. Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne x Mandy were chased off when Kayden Carter x Kacy Catanzaro made it a fair fight. I’m curious to see how this plays out and like the players involved.

Lashing w/ D’Angelo
Finally got an answer as to why Tony D’Angelo wanted to be on Lash Legend’s talk show. Apparently, he just wanted to call some names. Dexter Lumis, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, and even the champ himself, Tommaso Ciampa. Not sure he needed to go to the talk show to do that since anyone on NXT can pick up a mic whenever they want and pop sh*t. So, what exactly was the point? They still need to figure out the right way to use Lash’s venue.

Dakota Dominates
Dakota Kai reasserted herself this week. She didn’t just need the win; she needed to make a statement. In wrestling, that often means doing something vicious and cruel to one’s opponent, so that’s what Kai thought about doing to a beaten and defenseless Cora Jade after winning their match. Something stopped her from going all in with her attack and I’m not sure why. But this feels like a beginning and not an end.

Nobody Puts Xyon in a Corner
Robert Stone wanted problems with Xyon over an embarrassment last week. Stone challenged Quinn to a dance contest and Quinn even get down to “Sexy Boy,” which I didn’t see coming even if I had bifocals. Of course, Stone got too big for his small shorts and threw and interrupted the big man’s dancing with a punch. Big mistake. You know what happened from there. This led to a brief interaction between Quinn and Legado del Fantasma that may bear fruit. Consider me sports entertained.

LDF 4 Life
Kyle O’Reilly x Von Wagner got into it with the boys from Legado del Fantasma on Twitter recently. So you know that means a match had to happen. It was a solid affair designed to make Von Wagner look beastly and get LDF—shoutout to the LWO—some much needed momentum. By hook or by crook, the last thing was achieved when the LDF got the pin with a handful of rope.

LA Knight is a Jerk
Boa x Grayson Waller got it on with LA Knight ringside to offer “impartial” commentary. This was all building to Knight interrupting and sure enough, that’s what he did. Not excited about Knight and Waller. Actually, not excited about anything Knight does in NXT 2.0 right now because he doesn’t fit and should be on Monday or Friday.

F U, Chase
Bron Breakker broke the grading curve this week. Andre Chase, incensed people called him “scared” after he ran out of the haunted house last week. Ya know, like scared people. He called out the locker room and Bron answered. After making quick work of Chase U’s dean, Bron paid his respects to Tommaso Ciampa. But promises to get that belt sooner rather than later.

Solo Act
Solo Sikoa—don’t call him Uso—made his actual debut this week. Sikoa turned Jeet Rama into mince meat. The boy moves just like his brothers and even uses the same finishing move. It served its purpose.

Poker Sucks
No, that’s not my opinion on poker so much as its my opinion on this segment. Duke Hudson’s poker match with Cameron Grimes was a thing for several moments this week. And it was all building to Grimes hustling Hudson, getting a perfect moment to use his catchphrase, and an angry smoldering look from Hudson. I am not sports entertained.

Imperium Loves the Ladies
NXT is doing an interesting dance where they present Toxic Attraction as a force but make sure we remember men are attracted to them. This week, it was Imperium’s turn to gawk, as Gigi and Jacy interrupted their backstage interview. Imperium wasn’t outraged, but commented that while the mat must remain pure, America does have its advantages. Someone signal the high hat and drum. It’s not that I dislike it as much as I think its unnecessary. I'd fvck Gigi in a heartbeat though. Yea I said it

Shocker, but NXT put on a good show. Not an amazing show, not a show packed with “wow” moments, but just solid wrestling and solid storytelling. We even almost found out what MSK means but alas, that will have to wait for another day. Not everything worked and the brand is still finding its footing. But things are getting less slippery by the week

Haven't been watching for while stay updated via your posts. The mat is sacred eh? Make Walter catch them grin
Io Shirai has done everything there needs to do on nxt. Will Dakota Kai ever win the nxt title? Kyle is stuck in a mishmash team with Von Wagner. Any updates on Diamond Mine and Joey Gacy?

I'm glad my work is touching you positively grin thanks

Nothing from Diamond Mine this week, they were probably on 205live and I didn't watch it

Marcel Bathel don dey lose focus already and them never even defend their tag titles.

That Ciampa x Gargano scene was platinum. The oldest of the old guards. Just had me going down memory lane to the peak days of NXT, back when Takeover was the ultimate PPV

The law of diminishing returns happened really fast with NXT

You dey mind these people? I don't know whats the use of burning bridges for no reason
I wouldn't want him to burn bridges, but his booking in his last run was god awful.
His alcohol issue is devastating, Punk addressed it last night. I wish him a great recovery, one of my best wrestler today.

His booking wasn't awfull, he was booked far better than Balor is being booked now and Balor is far more talented than him

You guys should be saying the truth

look at it this way, they made him turn on his Shield bros, burn his Shield gear, gave him an awful gimmick where he was germophobic, wearing face masks, had body guards to protect him from the fans of any city he went to in order to prevent him from getting infected from their diseases anytime he walked out(I'm not making this up). They jobbed him to EC3, had Nia Jax bury him on live TV and the straw that broke the carmel's back was when he Vince asked him to shoot and say awful things at Reigns and his real-life Leukaemia issue; he refused to do it, Vince got angry and coupled with the scripted promos issue he decided to leave.
He benefitted from them, but they booked him badly attimes, turned him into a miserable lunatic(think his feud with Lesnar) refused to push him over Reigns especially when he was getting bigger pops than him and lastly it always felt like he didn't fit in.

Omo, that last run with the gas mask and the feud with Seth was just ass. You even criticized it during your episode recaps. Yeah, he achieved success there but the end was just abysmal. Imagine jobbing to Nia Jax.
Not in support of him burning bridges too sha. Anyway it seems to be just with Vince. He should still be on good terms with Hunter.

His Lunatic gimmick was good, nothing miserable there...Kofi also lost to Brock stupidly but you won't see him whining about it..

I remember the Leukaemia part and that wasn't cool but he was the one that asked to be turned heel and he already stated his desire to leave before all that booking happened
