The Ondo State Government in a swift reaction to the withdrawal of army checkpoints wish to state that it desires not to go into the merits of the flying story about non-payment of allowances to any arm of the military. It deserves no such efforts more so, that, the concerned arm of the military has yet to issue any statement in that regard.

It must be noted that notwithstanding the politicisation of any situation, the Ondo State Government ably led by Mr Rotimi Akeredolu shall not, under whatever circumstances, succumb to blackmail and allow any puerile allegation wrapped under ethnicised platforms to wrought further violence on our people.

‘It must be clear to all, that the target is Amotekun. Unfortunately for whoever whose motive is to perpetuate violence under any guise, our resolve to sustain Amotekun remains unwavering. We won’t be deterred in any form. Our time-tested character and attitude toward tackling insecurity even at odd times shall not be compromised.’

No reasonable government will fight itself. When you are technically fighting people that are helping in sustaining peace and security of the people you govern because you want protect the selfish interests of your kinsmen is purely undiluted foolishness.
The north is boiling with boko haram , the south east is boiling with ipob . Do this government think if what is happening in Anambra now happen in all the southern states in 2023 he can contain it .This government need to have a rethink. You can be fighting everyone ,you are fighting amotekun , fighting Ipob ,fighting boko haram when will this government have peace .

The FG is not wise at all.. the moment the people build alternatives to your security apparatus, you become optional and less important..

Replace the manning of checkpoints with Amotekun security agents, if you can withstand the initial shock of sabotage, the sky is your limit.

I like aketi and the guts of people like ortom for standing firm by his people and in what they believe in unlike lalong and hopeless that invited soldiers to be killing his people because of his unpopular mandate

Nigeria so predictable, All this action is in response to statement made by the ondo state government on open grazing few weeks back. They decided not to remove it immediately so that people will not think it is connected. The power that be were and are still pained by that statement by the governor.
They hate and don't want people to air their mind.

I support the ondo state governor statement on open grazing and I also support him to empower Amotekun.

I still don't understand Buhari regime. Even Buhari himself. How can someone be so daft and clueless, still commands large supporters base over the years? A man that don't have capacity to coordinate his own nuclear family effectively? Naija na joke, brain and common sense usually disappear when religion and tribe come in.

You assume position in government and your own people are giving you serious problems which is obvious to the blind, and making country ungovernable for you, these are the people that you never met and in which you might not meet in life time, yet you find it hard to curtail their excesses? When sitting governor try it ,you become angry and ready to pull nation down because of tribesmen.

Aketi and propaganda.
Where is his wife from sef? Let me ask.

When the military engage in internal security duties, there are some little allowances that the state governor pays them, if Akeredolu is not remitting those allowance because he is paying Amotekun, then it means Amotekun can do the work all by themselves.
