If you're seeing 4.88 on your app and 4.8 on your rider app, your actual rating is between 4.71 and 4.79.

Between 4.75 and 4.84.

I guess they don't approximate. 4.88 is still 4.8. I'm not sure though

They approximate to the nearest decimal.

If your rating is truly 4.88, what you'll see on riders app is 4.9.

Your rating may drop soon.
But not likely. If you don't get any low rating soon.

Well, I don't know about the rating dropping soon. I didn't work today though, cos I took my mom to the hospital and was with her till 4pm. I decided not to work again today when I saw plenty traffic.

grin yes oh....Nigerians, by my own estimation, are one of most hypocritical being roaming the surface of this World...

I remember, i picked up a rider from Polo club on Awolowo axis to isheri-olowora. We got along in general conversation and he suddenly, veered into Politics. Naso, I kept mute...like "Dundee"... I was just chuckling & heaving sighs.

After, so much talk o

Rider: You're not saying anything ní, àbi you like the way country be so o...
Me: Ah!!! Wetin man go do now...
Rider: He kept on talking o, kon dey claim Authority.
He now started sounding like Lie Mohammed.

This eventually broke my pharynx grin

I replied to counter some of his claims, by giving him some UN, FAO, WHO, NBS stats..
He stuttered, quickly google to counter my submission... But was disappointed. He Never saw it coming, a " mere Driver"- going by their description

He was doused with ashes in humility.
We got to his destination, and he asked me where do I work...I replied jokingly.. I no get work o, na this hustle we dey o. He replied "how come you knew all this"...

I replied, "I hardly express my opinion, submission these days...I love to talk from position of FACTS"...

Lastly, I listen to Rotimi Sankore...

He replied " Hmmm....OK o"
Me: Good night sir

I revved up my engine, and zoomed off...
I Checked my rating after, he don drop badly grin

Hahaha...

Nigerians!

My point exactly, ee hate being corrected or countered.

Too bad!

Took out time to read it and I'll have to be a bit insensitive on this. I won't hold e hailing companies responsible for this outside them making their service better by having more info about riders, but we all know where we live, folks will work over night to beat the system, another company with less info will come up at a cheap price and it's the same drivers that will run to such app at a flash of no commission and bonus.

Check Indriver for instance, it's just the driver and the rider. On Thursday, I went physical on a rider for the first time. Got a trip from omole to Olateju ard mushin for 2500 on Indriver. On getting to Kayode street around Onipanu, she asked where am I going? Got confused and replied, to your destination off course. There she goes, no! She's going to Isolo, Jakande area. Hmmm! I pull over and try to understand her better, show her the app and tell her to check what she input as destination. All fell to deaf ear, she put the blame on us in quote and why he never liked the app after doing 108 trips. I try to explain to her, I don't work for Indriver, we r both using their services, she as a rider and me as a driver, story. What can we do? I ask her to be reasonable as I am willing to be as well, nonetheless I don't like going to Isolo, but I'm left with no option here. She said she can't add more than 500 naira to the trip and I gently ask her to drop her off, so she can book another ride. This girl refused, showed her my gas level and why I can't accept 500, cos I just can't shortchanged myself for nothing, and she did the worst by saying that's not her business. I off the ignition and we both went head sprung, inside the car for like 20 mins pressing our phones, she start making calls about her last night parole and her commission from other girls. She crossed the line the moment she put her leg on the dashboard. Babe remove you leg, she refused with the excuse of not being comfortable with her sitting position. Madam you are not the one cleaning my car, remove ur leg from my dashboard as I won't take that lightly with you, but she refused. Took her leg off it, she return it, took it off it again cheesy she put her on it again, I hit the leg off the dashboard and the ruse ignite. Blah! Blah!! Nah driver work u go do d*e, una dey always jealous us cos of the money we deh make grin gosh! I ask, why I go jealous olosho? Nah u sabi, I even get hair shop. Then I knew this is going deep, told her I have to drive to the next police station and she replied make we dey go, make we see who get money to bribe police pass. As I start the car and about to move, I took my phone and put it on record. Next, she try to go on live instagram, grabbed her phone from her and ask if it's her father she went to trend with by taking me to social media this morning. Then she start screaming Ole! Ole!! Ole!!! Uber driver want to kill her... people gathered grin subscribe for the episode

Back to drivers: night ride is free and sweat, but avoid it as much as possible, be grateful for the little you can make and stop this rat race of 1 million, it has lead many people to their doom. No one is immune to attack, but we too should not expose ourselves like our body is made of steel. Crazy how we start off work by 6am and still on the road by 9pm, doing what precisely? Even danfo drivers has call it a day. Brother's use your head, no one really cares about you in this game, let your conscience and your God be your guide (I've said this over and over again). Thank God for the covid break, I don't go beyond 70/100k in a week and what is mine is mine, so satisfactory. Shollywendy I hail, anything wey make 3pm meet u for road, get reason grin

Just to point out something. Someone here said the rating on the driver's App is different from the rider's App. I have 4.88 rating now and I just ordered myself to check it. I saw 4.8 still. I was hoping to see 4.9 or 4.7

Yeah you probably ordered yourself when your rating was recently updated on the app. Try it again after completing like 10- 15 trips with your present rating

Its true bro not a thing to argue about... Or can you explain why bolt blocked my account even when I have 4.53 on my dashboard but was told my rating is below 4.4?

What you should be mote concern about is, why do they design the app to work that way.

Well, me I'm making plans to have another driver's license because me I don't know how to beg somebody when I'm not breaking the rules.

The Nigeria system has given room for people to device means to survive so let's do it, no wahala...

Inbtw, all the riders that live in bad locations with bad roads seems to have migrate to Uber since they don't preview destination.

But yesterday, I notice something on Uber on my last 2 requests. One came with price review while the other came with an address but due to the short time frame (15secs) to accept the request I couldn't figure out what exactly it was. That of yge price showed just like a second when the request came in but that of the address stayed longer.

Drivers on Uber, what did you observe yesterday morning on your app?

But menh!!! That was a difficult situation there bro... If I was the one I wouldn't have wasted time at all I for don create a scene before she start doing any wahala. The girl is a cheat and I'm sure it's not her first time doing that.

This is why I always make friends with both good guys and the very bad once everywhere I go.

Like in mushin now, I've two joints in mushin with at least 2 or 3 people's contacts each time I'm gallant and around I go there buy a carton of action bitter and Chelsea with SK...

Ketu i get guys there, Ajah/lekki I&II I get joint and contacts

Suru/Aguda, Iyana ipaja that one na steady... Those hoodlums know me very well...

Police contact dey, DAIG, Area commandant (area F), Commissioner, LASMA, TASKFORCE, VIO chairman's wife, Lagos State I have her contact...

Though I try to be very civil and law abiding in my dealings because that's what the Commissioner asked me and warn me never to ring his private line if I did anything wrong but if I'm not just a phone call or his presence is enough... He has done it once for me before so I know.

Every trouble has it's own solution weather na hoodlums or lawyer we ready.

Also, my last name has helped me many times without even making any phone call just my ID alone settles it but most times money dey go down.

So every business person must have a competitive advantage to stay afloat o.

To survive in this country you need to know people

But las las na God win am shall.

I ran into a trouble with a DAIG on Thursday at Intercontinental Hotel, ikoyi that the man slapped me 3 times... I wanted to retaliate b4 oh but his grey hair was his saving grace... The man was in a black suit... I insulted him tire... He asked his boys to take me to barbeach police station...
