Ok, but that’s the only place I can see social work being employable. Perhaps, USA or Canada, but certainly not sweden if you’re not fluent in Swedish - that job in particular 100% requires it. I thought I also knew a little Swedish until I came here. Reality is different than Duolingo/online learning. Takes a while even with SFI to be rapping in Swedish here.
Except this person wants to downgrade to mere personal assistant, but why pay so much in tuition for that? Plus, I doubt PA can give you the contract requirements for work permit.

And what if he decides to study Global health or Public health for his masters after his BSC social work program, can this boast his chances of getting a job in Sweden?

Because his plan is to go for masters in global health or public health after his social work program

Thanks so much for your time and input...

That is the issue here. She actually got a letter from school for 1 year break.

Also her pregnacy was a very hard one. it has high BP suring the pregnancy and need some rest.

Mobil567:
She should have gotten an authorised study break from her university, so that it won’t affect her extension. But how could she not have gotten 30 credits out of 60? Because I suppose she had one year permit which requires renewal to continue. Was she already heavily pregnant in her first semester?

As the case is, I advise she gets a lawyer to appeal the decision. The appeal will buy her time and she can remain in sweden and continue studying. So that even if anything, she can submit more acquired credits from her Ladok. If she leaves sweden, she may not be approved for studies because they will claim she only came to sweden to give birth and not a genuine student.
So let her try all possible means not to leave. Just my opinion
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by Mobil567: 11:15am On Nov 09, 2021
Then she can easily win an appeal with a good lawyer.

Please let everyone follow his or her mind. If Sweden does not pay somebody, does mean it won't pay anybody. We know the language barrier is there, but if God says that's where you will start the Journey from, there's nothing anybody can do about it.
Remember it's always good to put God first, in anything we're doing. And he will make a way, where it's seems there's no way.

Thank you

There's also a saying that goes 'heaven helps those who help themselves'. You can't go to an Infertile land purposely and wait for God to provide food for you. It's like going to afghanistan and hoping that God will keep you away from the talibans when you know they are in power now.

No one is saying don't come to Sweden. We are all saying, have a solid plan and target. If Sweden is your final destination, make sure to weigh your options on your study choices against the job market and other obstacles, eg language, prev work experiences, nationality etc.

But if you want to use Sweden, as the first step to other places, then feel free. My friend just got a Phd position in Australia and that has always been his preference despite being denied their visa some years ago. He still had the country in mind and now, he is moving there.

Just plan correctly, thats all.

And I don't think anyone is going to Afghanistan here, no one is talking about that. And no one is going to infertile land. And also, we all know we should have a plan in going to any country. Including US, UK, Canada, even Australia. What you should have said, is what you're just saying now. That," if Sweden is your final destination, make sure you have a solid plan." Which means, for those that want to stay there permanently.
And even at that, you still have to believe you will make it there no matter the circumstances.
Is what you believe that will manifest!

And also, I will not stop saying, you should put your plan in God's hands. Don't put God aside.

Thanks.

Been trying out banks to open account without personnumber. SEB gave me appointment for February 2022. Lol. No be me and them. Heading to Nodea.
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by Mobil567:
You don't have PN, so you don't have a Swedish ID. SEB is actually your only bet (or you can try Swedbank). Other banks will speak long grammar and the answer will still be 'no'. You can try other SEB's in other closeby cities, they may have sooner appointment dates. I highly DOUBT Nordea will answer you.

Note to other applicants; try to consider 120 ore more credit programmes so you can be eligible for PN.
Without PN, your capabilities in Sweden are very limited.

Go to Handelsbanken, it can be opened without person number. Make sure to take resident permit card, your passport and letter of acceptance from your school. They might ask for others but this is what I can remember.

You have to submit person number immediately you get it

You have to make an appointment to see a staff. I doubt they will attend to you without an appointment. Check their website to see how you will go about it. I think calling them is faster than email

Told ya. Even with PN/IDkort, Nordea is selective of their customers. Especially when you’re a non eu student. They will ask you for all sorts of impossible documents. It’s easier to bank with them when you already have BankID from another bank.

Try Swedbank for account opening, sometimes this account opening depends on who you meet that day, I opened account successfully with Swedbank without person number or coordination number at my first attempt , I referred people to Swedbank, some were denied some were accepted ,3/5 opened successfully without personal number/coordination, the 3rd person insisted on opening account, I don’t know how she did it but they told her stories of no person number no account and she came out with the account number
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by mbachidi: 10:26pm On Nov 10, 2021
Talking about migration to Sweden, my advise is asides from having solid plans, have back up plans, your solid plan might not go as expected, your plan must be able to evolve. Most importantly get to meet and discuss with people, ideas will pop out. Get updated in every way possible. Don’t be an introvert like them

Hmn, inspiring. I've been to Swedbank in the middle of Stockholm city, they were the first that said I need at least coordination number and directed me to skatervaket, made it look so easy, like I'll get the number immediately I walk in there.

Perhaps I'll try another branch. SEB too, will target a less busy branch. Na me and them.
