Not that it's a good statistic but more northern soldiers/people have died & are homeless from BH than Southerners. Also more senior military men of northern extraction. You can observe this from the news.

They just happened to face powers beyond them.

Some of them were trained by British military.Some went for training in Pakistan,India,Belarus e.t.c(usually special forces though).

I don't know how learned you are. Nigeria is a country at war with itself. From corrupt politicians protected by the military to oppression and killings it's citizens by the military that supposed to protect them. Politicians keep arming terrorist, military oligarchs in full collaboration with them. Using recurites and ratings like you to play puns and sacrifices on the altar of war's they created..only if Sani abacha is still alife.
