Another Taliban phenomenon is playing out in Nigeria. Most of the displaced hard core terrorist from Somalia, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan must have made their base in porous Nigeria where murderous bandits are seen as poverty eradication campaigners by now. |

vanbonattel: Wow tribalism @ death? No nah! Not that it's a good statistic but more northern soldiers/people have died & are homeless from BH than Southerners. Also more senior military men of northern extraction. You can observe this from the news. BH has been more terror to the north than any other part. No need for tribal tensions. God help the family bear this loss. |

Its Very pathetic...why a lot of Nigerians now don't give a hoot about any soldier killed is Very simple.. Nigerian soldiers are just tools in the hand's of politicians who use them to oppresses the citizens of its country...lekki massacre is still fresh on people's minds...so don't expect any thing less of whatever is been discussed on this blog... Nigerian Army is been regarded as terrorist because of their lack of total knowledge and professionalism when it comes to military civilian relationship. And wars concerning religious beliefs never ends especially Islam Jihad will never end until Nigeria becomes fully islamized 1 Like 1 Share |

vanbonattel:I'm telling you. They moved hausa fulani soldiers down south and moved our people to borno where they're being slaughtered like rams. Our people and foolish leaders will get sense someday. To every soldier who is a member of nairaland here, if they say go to borno while your colleagues are being deployed to the south in your very eyes, just resign. Nothing will happen. The current Nigerian army gas been politicised. Enough said |

mbaise1000:This is nairaland, for Nigerians...no one wants to see negative talk...is it war you want? What is your aim? Even Isrealis that are technically at war with Palestine, you don't see Isrealis insulting them online, they simply do what they want. Nairaland is against secessionists. |

Cptflint:Tell them. You sow hatred and wickedness, and you want to reap kindness. Nigerian army signifies terror and intimidation to civilians. so why expect civilians to pity them when they are treated in the language they speak to unarmed citizens? As for Islamic jihad war called Boko Haram and ISWAP whatever, it won't end until Northern political elites and their Muslim fanatic clerics and teachers that birthed terrorism in the North decides to end the war. It is a needless war. 50 years from now that needless, senseless Boko Haram war will continue 2 Likes |

Malawian: The answer is pretty simple. Muslims don't pray in English, but in Arabic because Islam was founded and brought to Nigeria in particular and Africa in general by the Arabs. Moreover, all their Scriptures were originally written in Arabic. While Christianity, on the other hand, was brought to Africa/Nigeria by European missionaries. Period! Moreover, if Nigeria was colonized by say Portugal, Spain, Swedish or Italy, you won't be making this argument using English language. You would be reading your Bible and praying in Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish or Italian, as the case may be. |

mediainc: You see, I'm shocked about how you are terming the truth as hate speech. I developed Interest in the military since age 8.I gave up the dream shortly after my first year in the uni(meanwhile,I even wanted to attend NDA).Why did I give up? Because this country is not worth it. Are we to talk about the war that is supposed to have ended but some powers keep sponsoring it?Or the embezzlement of the funds for the procurement of arms and ammunitions?A soldier told me their AK 47 do jam because it's rusty. Is it the saboteurs amongst the soldiers themselves that we are to say? What about the non-acknowledgement of some soldier's death. They'll keep saying the soldier didn't die but rather,he went AWOL! There are numerous happenings that I can't list all. Revolution needs to take place and it mostly comes with war so... 2 Likes |

mediainc: I don't know how learned you are. Nigeria is a country at war with itself. From corrupt politicians protected by the military to oppression and killings it's citizens by the military that supposed to protect them. Politicians keep arming terrorist, military oligarchs in full collaboration with them. Using recurites and ratings like you to play puns and sacrifices on the altar of war's they created..only if Sani abacha is still alife. Let me state this to you...the military oligarchs are lying to junior officers and non commissioned.. this war will never end. In few months to come more soldiers will die from Iswap all over North.. untill the petroits in the army devoid of corrupt politicians do what is necessary. More soldiers will die. 2 Likes |
