You had same fair point here and there but the highlighted above destroyed all thr credibility you could have had.

How did it destroy credibility?

I am from the South-West mind you but pease let's speak the truth

Nigerian Army's gross disrespect and abuse of human rights is not hidden. I love my country but the Army can go nowhere if it doesn't make an example of officers that engage in human rights abuse.

So please tell me how his opinion lost credibility. Because you don't agree with him? If that's the case, say so. Don't bring in "credibility".

Ah yes the good old Lekki Toll Gate Massacre where despite being a massacre no footage exists of the assault, no bodies have been recovered, photos showing bodies have been proven fake with some literally being from movies, the people that supposedly died are undocumented, and the only hospitalized individual with flesh wounds was caught robbing the hospital he was sent to.......

Many of the people reported to have been killed in the Lekki Protest have since come out to debunk such reports.

A Nollywood movie star Eniola Badmus, who was allegedly shot in the stomach and died at the Lekki Toll Gate has denied the social media reports. Posting on her Instagram, Eniola wrote “Against all speculations about me being shot or dead at the unspeakable incident that happened at the toll gate a few hours ago, I would like to inform you guys that I Eniola Badmus is hale and hearty. I couldn’t make it there today to lend my voice on the #endsars movement.”
https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/eniola-badmus-says-reports-of-her-being-shot-at-lekki-tollgate-are-false/yebpl6b

A photo of a man carrying a dead lady wrapped in Nigerian flag as posted by Yemi Alade was an image from a movie acted with a theme, “Heal our land, OH LORD!” posted by Yemi Alade was an image from a movie acted with a theme, “Heal our land, OH LORD!” https://www.trendsmap.com/twitter/tweet/1318864211037048832

A young man, Iraoya Godwin, a native of Otuo-Auchi, Edo state who was reported to have been killed also at the Lekki Toll Gate has posted a video on Twitter denying the report. https://twitter.com/i/status/1318872511736614913

There is a trending video of the corpse of Comrade Anthony Okechukwu, a former student of Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture, Umudike Abia State. It is discovered that the young man died in a road accident and not at the Lekki Gate. https://twitter.com/i/status/1318872511736614913

Solacebase reports that there was also a video of one Lucy Adu who was celebrated as a martyr at LekkiMasacre after dancing in the clip. Some of the social media posts celebrating her ‘martyrdom’ read: ”She was dancing an hour before she was murdered by the Nigerian armed forces Lucy was her name Pensive face#endsars – a bullet hit her in the face and ripped half her face off.”

Latest investigation shows that Lucia Adu died from an accident with a stationary truck on 20th October 2020. Her death was not from a gunshot by anyone. This is also confirmed by a new fact-checking Twitter handle on EndSARS https://twitter.com/EndSARSFctCheck

Meanwhile, PRNigeria Editorial team could not get authenticated footages of the bullet-ridden bodies from the alleged LekkiMassacre from credible media sources and EndSARS activists. Yet, two days after the alleged LekkiMassacre, no single family member has reported to security agencies or the media of the death of their loved ones in the incident.

Checks by PRNigeria revealed that not even a single protester allegedly killed during the Lekki incident was reported, even as no single corpse of the massacred protesters was taken to any hospital in the state, as of Wednesday night.

https://prnigeria.com/2020/10/25/fact-checker-lekkimassacre/

Various stagged photos and screenshot from local movies used as the only evidence for the massacre.

Bros, with the way NA has a history of human right abuse and intimidation, which person will openly come out and say he/she was shot without an assured safety net. Tell me?

Let's not act naive abeg. DO you think the NA cannot intimidate those on their hospital beds to keep their mouth shut? or else....

THe events in the south-east where they shot into the homes of people going about their normal business should tell you that the Lekki shootings are not far-fetched.

Mind you, peace loving people going about their business. They were not protesting ooo, yet the Army decided to use them for target practice. So why do you think shooting protesters who came to "challenge" them would be far-fetched?

This is not based on emotions just common sense and logic...

Am i saying some pics from the Lekki shootings were not fake..No. Some mpics were actually fake but there is a strong probability that some extra-judicial killings also took place.

No worries. My fervent prayer is that may Nigeria happen to you.

Back when the Shiites were being murdered en masse in Abuja by troops of the Presidential Brigade, I was here yelling about it being a very gross violation of human rights. I was abused, and called a Moslem terrorist too if I remember correctly. And that despite the fact that I've been an atheist for much of my adult life and last stepped foot in church like 2 years ago.

So, why was I standing up for the Shiites? Firstly because they are human with inalienable rights and privileges and secondly because they are Nigerians with rights and privileges guaranteed by the constitution.
No sane person uses heavy machine guns mounted on APC's to disperse peaceful protesters like the NA did to the Shiites. No sane person carts off those injured and leaves them without medical attention to die. No sane person denies what happens even with the masses of evidence everywhere.

And thirdly, I stood up for the Shiites because I knew very well that if we stayed silent about their being murdered in broad daylight like that, the time would come when the NA would do the same to us en masse. That day came at Lekki and will continue to come because people like you @AskaiHarem are ever ready to write a blank check to the army to kill and go as it wishes. People like you are ever ready to lie against those being murdered and either claim they deserved it or were looking at NA troops in a rude manner.

So, my prayer for you @AskiaHarem is that may Nigeria happen to you and your relatives one day. angry
And I will not reply you further in any way. Have a good night.

That's the best response to people like him.

Even if the Army shots down an unarmed person in front of them (who was not threat to them), somepeople will still support the NA.

Apart from imposing levies on those who did not flee from their villages due to incessant attacks by bandits, the bandits have now usurped power and have begin to appoint District Heads in those communities in Sokoto state, North West Nigeria.

The police, however, denied the development and described the story as baseless and unfounded. grin

A native of one of the affected communities in the state,Idris Muhammad Gobir told the VOA Hausa Service in an interview, that as of now, the bandits have appointed 2 District Heads in the Sabon Birni zone of Sokoto state.

According to Idris, “yesterday the bandits leader celebrated the Maulud in Makwaruwa, where he declared himself the District Head.

“The event took place in the presence of the bona fide District Head.

“But when they asked if he had any objection, he, Dan Sani, paid allegiance to the bandits leader who usurped power .”

Similarly, “in Gangara town the bandits summoned a meeting which was attended by all the inhabitants and the bandits.

“They selected Dan Kwaro and he is now the District head of that town.”

“He was in the town on Thursday and ordered mosques to re open.He directed that the inhabitants should stop going outside the town for prayers, that they should be performing their prayers in the town.”

“They control the local justice system and others. He ordered that markets be reopened next Tuesdays,” he said.

Another resident in the Eastern part of Sokoto, Bashir Altine Guyawa, told the VOA Hausa that even before the bandits appointed District Heads in the area, for long, they were in control in that zone and called the shots.

He said “from Dama where there was an encounter between the bandits and security agents, up to Zango and Gatawa, the bandits are in total control in these areas and dictate daily affairs.”

” So even if they announced the appointment of District Heads or not, they’ve already established their presence and they are in control. So anybody who had traditional authority can no longer exercise that power, ” he said.

Commenting on the consequences of this development, a security expert, Detective Auwal Bala Durumi Iya ,said the situation is capable of making the people to lose hope on whether the government is capable of rescuing them from the clutches of these bandits.

” Secondly, they ( bandits )can be able to recruit from those who are not part of them, whether they like it or not.”

” Thirdly, this will show the world that the bandits are now strong enough to annex an area and impose their kind of authority,” he said.

The Nigeria Police, however, in a statement signed by the Sokoto Command ‘s PPRO, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, said investigation has revealed that the story was baseless.

The Command said it has taken stringent measures to unravel the source of the story, adding that there were plans under the Hadarin Daji by the military and police to launch an operation in those places inhabited by bandits, with a view to restoring law and order.

Truth is that there is already a massive development deficit which accumulated over several decades that will take several years of efforts and seriousness to sort out while also suffering the consequences of the gaps left by the deficit which will also impact negatively on the efforts aimed at sorting out the deficit and further growth.

On October 20, the Nigerian Army shot at the people protesting police brutality at the Lekki Toll Gate, but the military has continuously denied involvement in the incident despite several accounts of witnesses, including hospitals where victims were taken to, showing that there were casualties.

The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry has submitted the reports on the Lekki shooting incident and police brutality cases to the state government on Monday.
The panel led by a retired judge, Doris Okuwobi, submitted the reports at the Governor’s Office in Alausa, Ikeja.

On October 20, the Nigerian Army shot at the people protesting police brutality at the Lekki Toll Gate, but the military has continuously denied involvement in the incident despite several accounts of witnesses, including hospitals where victims were taken to, showing that there were casualties.

The panel concluded its sitting on October 18, 2021, and said its findings and recommendations would be submitted to the state government.

Justice Okuwobi had said 186 of the 252 petitions submitted were deliberated upon.

According to an infographic released by the panel, the sum of N409.7 million was awarded to 70 petitioners.

The panel in its report obtained by SaharaReporters also recommended disciplinary actions to Lt. Col S.O. Bello and Major General Godwin Umelo for failing to to honor its summons in order to frustrate the investigation.

It added that all men of the Nigerian Army that were deployed to the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020 should be made to face appropriate disciplinary action, stripped of their status and dismissed.

“The panel recommends disciplinary actions to the following officers (Lt. Col S.O. Bello and Major General Godwin Umelo), who refused to honor the summons of the panel in order to frustrate the investigation,” part of the recommendation read.

“All officers (excluding Major General Omata) and men of the Nigerian Army that were deployed to the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020 should be made to face appropriate disciplinary action, stripped of their status, and dismissed as they are not fit and proper to serve in any public or security service of the nation.

“The panel recommends that all those arrested in the course of the protest should be granted bail, prosecuted for any offence that may be alleged against them or where no prima facie evidence of culpability is disclosed upon due investigation, they should be released forthwith.

“The panel recommends that the Nigeria Army be discouraged in intervening in internal security.

“Panel commends Reddington Hospital, Vedic Life Healthcare, Grandville Trauma Centre, Victoria Island Consultancy, General Hospital Marina, and medical Services Hospitals, LASUTH, Doreen Hospital, Saint Nicholas Hospital Lagos Island, Avon Medical Practice Clinic, Britannia Hospital Lekki, First City Diagnosis Limited, Lekki, Budo Specialist Hospital Lekki, Saint Edward Specialist Hospital and Cardiac Centre Lekki, Lagos Executive Cardiovascular Clinic Lekki, Olive Multi-Specialist Hospital Lekki, Preston Hospital Lekki, Lagoon Hospital Ikoyi and all the medical doctors and personnel that attended to the victims of gunshot wounds from the Lekki Toll Gate and treated all of them free of charge. Panel recommends them for special awards by the Lagos State and Federal Governments.

“The Panel recommends that the commitment made to the hospitals by the Lagos State Government through the Governor and the Commissioner for Health for the payment of the hospital bills of the EndSARS protesters should be fulfilled.”

It also added that the Divisional Police Officer of Maroko Police Station along with policemen deployed from Maroko the station on the 20th and 21st of October 2020 should be prosecuted for arbitrary and indiscriminate shooting and killing of protesters.

The Lagos State Panel of Enquiry has been compromised.

There was no massacre on that day.

Even the Shites Massacre is just a figment of our imagination.

There was no military presence at the toll gate that day.

Even if there were military personnel at the toll gate, they fired me only rubber bullets.

Maroko police committed a lot that night in Admiralty way...they'll shoot you and carry your body! I'll never forget!
I heard about their attroicities on that night.

I will never forget that night.

In my own opinion, DJ Switch is a Hero of the FRN.

She is a brave lady

Without her, maybe we won't know about a lot of attroicities committed on that night.

We saw how the Nigerian army deny their men was at that location, even with video evidence.

Shame now later made them say the truth... I doubt them get shame sef.

They are always operating with International best practices during their press statement

On the street, nah different matter... They are as ruthless as Boko Haram against innocent and unarmed civilians.

According to the following excerpt from the report of the Lagos #EndSARS Judicial panel, the Lekki Shooting of October, 20, 2020 was a massacre.

Whether there was a massacre at Lekki Tollgate on October 20, 2020.

The atrocious maiming and killing of unarmed, helpless and unresisting protesters, while sitting on the floor and waving their Nigerian flags, while singing the national anthem can be equated to a 'massacre' in context.

"A massacre has been defined as the killing of multiple individuals, which is considered to be morally unacceptable, especially when perpetrated by political actors against defenceless victims" - Wikipedia

The panel considered whether what took place at the Lekki Tollgate on the 20th October, 2020 was a MASSACRE. According to the learned authors of Miriam-Webster online dictionary, one of the meanings of massacre is "the act or instance of killing a number of usually helpless or unresisting human beings under circumstances of atrocity or cruelty.

Suspected members of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) are currently operating in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.

The fighters have reportedly set houses ablaze in Dille village in the Local Government Area that was attacked during the weekend.

A source told Daily Trust that the terrorists stormed the village around 5:30pm.

He said they looted many stores, carting away food items, adding that they torched the houses they stole from.

Details of the casualties are yet to be known as of the time of filing this report.

The incident comes 48 hours after an intense battle between troops and terrorists in Askira Uba.

Brig-Gen Dzarma Zirkusu and some soldiers were killed in the weekend attacks but the army retaliated by reportedly killing 50 terrorist commanders.

Spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, in a statement, explained that troops of 115 Task Force Battalion conducted dawn exploitation towards Leho village and environs.

He noted that troops also discovered corpses of the fleeing terrorists and also recovered 2,560 rounds of 7.62mm Special and 29 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition abandoned by the terrorists.

Tomorrow servicemen will be wondering why nobody give a hoot when terrorists kill or maim them. Nigeria may be the only country that citizens have zero respect for their servicemen because of the atrocities and human rights violations by people that ought to defend them.
