God will punish the people that released this COVID virus. I know it's not natural. This thing crippled the world's economy, it's crazy. Can you imagine that not even up to a year after minumum wage was increased to thirty k now price of things have made that useless too. I just don't have words to describe the level of suffering in this world today. I'm even more shocked that people are not revolting at the price of commodities.

misterme:
And I am very very angry. Gas I used to buy 2800, then 3k, 4k, and 5k. Suddenly it jumped to 7500 and now (today) 9250 in Port Harcourt. I am very very angry. Let no one here disturb me with nonsense news about Buhari and his nonsense South Africa Trade fair and nonsense. No cross me today o. I fit beat person

The gas finished yesterday. I told my wife that yesterday that I will buy the gas today because I needed to get to work and somehow raise money to augment what I have to be able to buy the gas. I told her to use the kerosene stove that yesterday and this morning. Guess her reply? She said she can't use kerosene even for a day. That even her Mum in the village does not use kerosene stove. She said a few other unprintable things.
For the sake of my 3 children I still had to buy the gas today.

I had not eaten in my house for a month now. The reason is that she said that they money I gave her for upkeep in October was not enough (I give her 62.5% of my monthly salary every month for our home upkeep). As a result she refused to give me food from around the middle of the month when she said the money had finished. She cooked for herself and the children (possibly from her own salary). When I gave her upkeep money for this month I told her not bother keeping food for me so that the money will go far enough. That's where we are till now. I have no intention of ever eating her food until she acknowledges that she was wrong and apologizes.

Now I know this WON'T happen. She will rather die than admit she's wrong or apologize. This is why I know that the mistake of a marriage is heading for the rocks and I am ready for it. Nonsense and ingredients. I have endured this nonsense for 15 years. I am done. Anything whe won happen tomorrow, make e happen today.

Married Men And Marital Issues Are like 5&6.

Every day, one Married Man will bring his Marital Issue to Nairaland. I just tire. When you were marrying and making babies, did u tell us

Everybody has their own issues to deal with but we are matured not to come here and burden others. Since you all "Married Men" want to be bringing your issues here, here is mine below.

Well my own issue is that rain keeps falling in Lagos and it creates flood on my street making it difficult to go to work. Sometimes I can't even leave my house due to water everywhere. I just tired. As I speak, rain is failing. I wish I knew how to swim? But to swim in a mud dirty water Hell NO!!!

2) I did Modification of Name on my NIN in the 28th of October yet till now 16th of November, it's still the same old stories of "come back next week". I am tired. I have lost a lot of opportunities due to this unnecessary delay.

3) My father died when I was 13 yrs old. Let me end that there before I begin to shed tears while remembering how hard life has been.

4) I finished school, graduated with a Second Class Lower (2.2) but guess what, I couldn't secure a job.
Now I'm planning on going back to school and starting afresh in a whole different field. Imagine the Emotional Trauma
And nobody should start me with "Go for Masters now". Thunder fire Masters.

5) An doing business. I sell things online but it's not moving like it should. It's just God that is helping me.

Should I continue

Your issues are "legion" and if you were not so serious about them, I would be lmao right now cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Seriously though, I was also really upset about the vaulting cost of gas until I spoke to my cousin who lives in the UK and he explained to me carefully that there is some international dimension to the rising cost of LPG across the globe. I can't say I understood half of what he was trying to explain or how the international cost of gas affects how much I buy gas from Mama Blessing's refill depot at the junction of my street. God will sha help us to continue to meet the rising cost of living.

Unto your madam's issue, I think you should sit down with her and have a heart to heart. It seems to me like you guys run different economies within the house where she spends her pay anyhow she likes and you spend your's anyhow you like. Thankfully, it seems you both have jobs, I suggest you both pool your resources and allocate funds jointly in line with a structured monthly budget.

From counseling a lot of couples, I have found out that issues like this often occur when women begin to feel left out of the financial decision-making process. This is usually either because the man is the sole earner and rides on his male ego to make those decisions to the exclusion of the wife since he feels it is "his money". In these tough times, you need to swallow your ego, sit her down and lay your cards on the table. By this I mean, let her know how much you earn and let her tell you how much she earns. You both draw up a list of your monthly needs. Review the list and streamline appropriately to your available financial pool. Also jointly agree on how much you will be putting away for the proverbial "rainy day" or towards any joint project.

Now, if you do this, your wife most likely will adjust and "help you manage" whatever you jointly agree for the month. If your madam feels like you are living the lau lau kinda lifestyle in the midst of this austerity or you choose to continue to exclude her from your financial affairs, she will most likely continue to be a witch even if you give her 100% of your monthly income as upkeep. Bring her into your affairs and give her a seat at the table and you will see the magic.

Good luck!

I couldn't vote. I wanted to vote Jonathan. I stood in long queues for hours for several days trying to get my PVC. I still couldn't. Many people didn't get theirs. Meanwhile small northern boys who do scrap metal business near my place were receiving calls from their friends and relatives in the North to come and collect their PVC's which the said relatives have collected from INEC. I, a grown man, could not get mine in the South. In the North, small boys were being begged to collect theirs. INEC officers went from house to house to deliver voters card to people, including relatives of actual owners of the cards in the north. Prof Jega dealt with the south. He disenfranchised us and gave Mr Buhari victory
exactly why the fool, Jonathan deserved to lose. Rubbish. Do you think Obasanjo would've allowed that nonsense?

My brother this type of woman will never change unless u take a drastic action against her and you don't have to, care let everyone feel the impact... This type of woman will climb you like steps, once she climbs the first one and you didn't push her back she will climb another, that's how she will keep on climbing till there is nothing left. If there is kerosene and she refuse to use let her and the children sleep with hunger now! Who's fault is it? It's not urs, there is an alternative and she's too big to use use it. You can't be working and be giving her over 60% of ur salary is too much bro, you need to save and do other things... Be wise don't allow a woman to over use you.

A people that cannot relate their electoral actions with their democratic experiences are not fit to demand dividends of that democracy.

Shey we were looking for a 'strong man'. So the dividend thereof will be to rot and die in silence.

Get out. People are talking of inflation of over 100% in Nigeria and you are comparing it inflation of about 5% seen in the west.
Do you think citizens of any western country or Asian country will lie low if they experience what Nigeria is experiencing at the moment?

-Lol @OP, are you married to my second wife?

-It goes back to women and money. They are always after their own comfort, then their children. You’re no longer important or needed once you donate that fertile sperm to them. grin

-The question begging for answer is; can a man feel comfortable feeding himself and his children, leaving his wife to go to bed every night on empty stomach?

-There is wisdom in our ancestor-preferred marriage arrangement- Polygamy.
Polygamy is key and it's also easier. Each woman cater for her side while the man supports.

@OP your wife is selfish.. sadly most women are.
What stops her from augmenting the 64% from you salary with half of her own for the upkeep of the home. I really don't know what they spend their money on.. might be that she has one sugar boy somewhere she is buying gifts for or she is building a house somewhere.

If tables were turned today, women won't ever accept to drop a dime for the family to eat like the way men do.. the reason most people see marriage as a burden for men and poverty alleviation for women.

Is your wife responsible for inflation, blame yourself for not earning enough money to settle family expenses..

Because blaming government changes nothing, this government doesn't care

Before the marriage I'm sure he knew what he was getting, a liability or an HELPER.
And he went on either way.

Blame the man for choosing a liability and not hustling good. Do not address your fellow woman doing evil to her husband. Ndi women liberation. Na my type fit una.
