1. Police Report (stamped in Abuja
2. Legalize it in Lagos island.
3. Translate it at the embassy.
4. Carry your phone, and check it in…
Dry ponmo, maggi, Crayfish, egusi, garri… etc.
Nobody is checking your luggage. There’s pandemic in Brazil, and the airport officials don’t want time wasting on anyone.
It is a pity, nobody told me all these… till I had arrived São Paulo.
I carried NOTHING. In fact, I only travelled with 2 shirts and 2 trousers.
I bought EVERYTHING, including my baby things in Brazil. I spent soooo much.

Carry what you can, and check it in…nobody is checking your luggage.

Someone who works at Alagbon did it, and gave it to my sibling…
Then she sent it to her friend in Abuja who took it to the ministry of foreign affairs.
Then sent back to Lagos….
She also took the documents to The officer of the legislator, where it was legalized.
Afterwards My husband booked the appointment, sent the date to my sibling, and she took it to the embassy,
It took 2 days before it was sent to me
Also note;
The embassy sent me the documents here in São Paulo themselves, via DHL and it cost over 50k.

The officer of the legislator also works @the embassy in Lagos yeah? Sorry for interrupting

I visited the embassy on the 18th of Dec last year to submit my application, but they were closed. Those ppl closed 16th.
As at then, I wasn’t showing atall… was only 3 months pregnant.
So I travelled for Christmas , and returned 2nd of January… to submit my application on the 3rd.
It was their first day of resumption!
Na me open door sef. The security was surprised.
I was told to wait outside till they resume.

How much did you use for the statement of account during your application process ma'am ,is 2.5 enough for me alone?

2.5m is enough to apply for as a tourist.
But I don’t know if that’s enough for you to survive in São Paulo.
Depending on how many months you are spending though.
I spent over 4 months, and because I didn’t carry anything with me… I bought all my baby things there.
If you aren’t staying long, and you are carrying your things from Nigeria… 2.5m should be more than enough for you.

I didn’t stay permanent. I can only share my experience on child birth.
I don’t intend living anywhere else aside naija. We do the documents for the babies/kids.
I am sure there’s a thread about relocation permanently to Brasil.

I met with the consular general (a Brazilian).
Before the interview date, I searched for him on google, and checked out his social media pages… so I’ll know what to expect.
If he was strict. Lol
I wore shirt dress, and heels (showed up smart) !
They took me to the board room.
And this man surveyed me from head to toe.
He kept his eyes gazed at my tummy.
He asked what I was going to do, and why I was going.
I told him for tourism.
And that every year I vowed to visit a different continent from the previous ones I had gone to.
And since I had been to Asia, Arabian countries and had enough of Africa… I wanted to see South American.

He began to advice me, then he told me there’s pandemic killing over 10,000 ppl daily in Brazil.
He also told me he contracted Covid, and that was why my application was delayed… because they had to close their office. He told me not to go.
But I insisted I’ll like to go.
Then he said if I insist, I should meet with the embassy staff , and reapply with a later date. I.e i should change my travel my date, because the date I told them I was traveling had passed.

So I reapplied and changed the date to May.
Note; they didn’t charge me anymore visa fee.
They used the previous one.
But I need a new flight booking.
Changed hotel reservation. Etc
Like a new application.
It was frustrating, after waiting since dec

Please after submitting my documents online, I got a link to book an appointment.

Is this an appointment to submit my documents physically? So can my husband submit on that day for both of us? Or is this the main visa appointment?
