Ekealterego:bro stop confusing yourself ORLU and ORU are different. your photographed material only talked about some Nembeians who went to enquire something from Aro. now let's end this madness for the last time. FIRSTLY! ORU is not a deity but a word WHICH MEANS JUJU SECONDLY! ORU IS NOT A NAME OF A PLACE, LOCATION OR ENTITY IN NEMBE. I want to ask you, what is the meaning of your so called oru or olu or oguta whatever... does it mean the same thing? NO! BYE BYE! |

Ekealterego:you just showed us you are un informed. bayelsa is the principal ijaw state, doesn't mean ijaw begins and ends in bayelsa. there are ijaws in rivers, delta, edo, akwa ibom, ondo. the very least source place is at a population of about 10 million, majority places us at 14 while a source places us at 18. |
Re: Nembe Aiteo Oil Spill Continues Two Weeks After It Blew by Nobody: 1:35am On Nov 20, 2021 |
Ekealterego: and there is no other ethnic group in bayelsa except the ijaws. kolokuma, Epie etc ARE CLANS OR TRIBES under the ijaws. infact there are 51 clans or tribes which are descendants of ijo and they are stretched across bayelsa, rivers, akwa ibom, ondo, delta, edo. there are also ijaws in Sierra Leone and Gabon who are migrant fishermen. |

Anonymous15: You people are deluded. There was no Igbo slaves for Ijaw. God forbid, where do you people concort your story from. There was Igbo slaves but your judiciary and governmental area in the former time was the Aro god. Stop changing history, you people are mad because Igbo spilled into other areas, and are greater than you people, so you people cannot take it rather you resort to lies from the pit of hell. If I said, oh Nembe is Ijaw and this girl said so. You'll be like, yes...but there are proofs online of people going there and interacting with the people, there's even one on YouTube were we could hear them clearly speaking Igbo, you have a search engine research it yourself and check out facts. Rather than filling hurt, because you want Bayelsa state only for you, so any other major tribe that you see there, you try to topple them down. Isn't that witchcraft. Keep on speaking for the Nembe people, before you people said Opobo wasn't Igbo, now there's proof becuase someone had to go to the land and bring you proof, you guys are quiet. Why don't you head to the Nembe streets, show us the street name and all as proof, go around the area and hear them talk, or go to the chiefs in the land, and let's have our evidence too, rather than you exchanging batter here that holds nothing. 3 Likes |

Anonymous15:Oga, we have trashed this before. Epie are Ogua people. They don't speak Ijaw. You see how dishonest you want to be. You are denying Isoko and Urhobo people in Sagbama. Denying the Edoid people in Bayelsa and denying the existence of Igboid people in Bayelsa.. and you don't even want the Cross-Riverian people in Bayelsa to exist but you are running around claiming others in other state that do not speak your language as Ijaw. You see your hypocrysy and dishonesty? There is no single Ijaw soul in Akwa-Ibom. IYC is a political franchise and not an ethnic group. Epie people have the right to their ethnicity. They are not ijaws, neither do they speak Ijaw. 6 Likes

Ekealterego:Ijaw is not up to 300,000 people and they are making noise up and down...they even claim kalabar people is Ijaw. Kalabar people is even more populated than Ijaw. Even urobo people is more than Ijaw in population but Urobo people doesn't make noise and cause trouble like this. No tribe would be forced to join Biafra, but referendum would decide. Even Ijaw should be seen as been under Igbo. 1 Like |

ThickSharon123:I have treated how opobo ( an ijaw community becaame Igbo. the ijaws there had too many slaves who outgrew them, and the opobo lost their language particularly after Jaja himself became the king and most influential man there, note that Jaja was an Igbo man. don't be a fool young woman, there were Igbo slaves Because the ijaws were middle men who sold the igbos to the white men, stop being daft. even your fellow igbos sold their brothers to the brokers (ijaws) who sold to the white men. your Igbo brothers are still selling yourselves today. stop spewing trash, the Aro god wasn't the principal God in Nembe. the Nembeians worshiped ogidiga (the sacred python) and some worshiped the black tortoise. Nembeians in those days only went to Aro to consult the juju on disputes not because the gods in Nembe were not powerful, but because priests may adulterate the judgement, so for a clearer judgement, people in ancient times travel far away, not because their native doctor isn't strong or their god isn't strong. they only seeked the most perfect and unaltered verdict. and on the Nembe issue, Nembe is made up of two towns, (opu Nembe and Nembe city, some know it as ogbolomabiri and bassambiri) there is no chieftaincy house, nor sub clan that is Igbo. my God people can say nonesense. I know all the major houses and chieftaincy war canoe there. my own community una dey talk nonesense on top am. for you to mention Nembe street, it could be a street in Port Harcourt named Nembe street na him dey confuse you. but in Nembe clan (ogbolomabiri, bassambiri, obioku) there is no Igbo in it. na wa o.go and confirm from your friend madam. ask her her surname abi family or chieftaincy war canoe house. stop coming here to spread fake rumor. |

Anonymous15: Is not your town, biko...stop lying. I can say I'm from Nembe too. Mtcheww. That's by the way. First of all, as you said the Igbos held much respect by you people that's why you went to their God for unadulterated verdict. Secondly, I've seen a video of Nembe youths, youths, not elders speaking Igbo in one of their many festivals. So, that means all the community in Nembe are Slaves. That's an insult to all Nembe people and Igbos too..for how dare you call the brethren slaves. Igbos can never be a slave to anyone. Can't you see what they did in the iGbo landing, it's now common Ijaw they'll bow too. You people may have told them or pleaded with them to join your culture. But you can be so humble to accept. Rather than talking here, please go to Nembe make a video of the elders, the market Square, where there are lots of people talking the language. Ask the village chiefs, I mean old men and women about the Nembe culture and tag me please, let me keep quiet. I'm saying this because on YouTube, there's been proof given, if in Nairaland here with videos, I've forgotten the thread. So, do that as your research, and you can keep me shut forever. |

Ekealterego:Don't be deluded, Epie is descended from ijo. just as nsukka is of ERI they do not speak the same language, but it is what it is. it is normal for people to claim being autonomous or authoctonous but ijo has 51 clans/tribes under it. because of the pride of the average ijaw man some tribes are trying to cut ties with him, even some of my fellow Nembeians claim they are NEMBEIANS and not ijaw, but I'll always ask, are you not still of your father even though you're grown and independent? I am a Nembe man and I am telling you Nembe is a clan under ijaw, same as Epie, tuomo, buseni, tarakiri, agudama, akassa and the entire 51 tribes. the language may not be exactly ijaw (ofcourse it isn't expected) as sub tribes usually have their corrupted lingua. NSUKKA and arondiziogu are descendants of ERI but do they speak the same ERI language? dude I didn't mention IYC. I am not a political person. visit Nigerian archive, and you will see that the ijaws are the 4th largest ethnic group. 1 Like |

ThickSharon123:madam I am a Nembe man, I would have mentioned my war canoe house and my chieftaincy house, but for privacy sake. even I can speak Igbo so that isn't an excuse. most of my cousins like me schooled in the East and can speak Igbo so does that make me an Igbo man? you talk about the Igbo landing, so it is the plantation in the landing was the only place igbos were sold? the ijaws were very powerful and because of how reselient we were, we controlled the trading routes. stop being daft, we sold you people for mirror, Dane guns and rum, even umbrellas and fine fabrics. we were the brokers between the Europeans, the Igbo pride can be measured in the fist of the ijaws, go and read your history properly. ok how did you get to the spot of the Igbo landing? the ijaws put you in the white men ships and sent you there Madam... go and read up your history. the ijaws are the only people who had Cannons, do you know how expensive canons were? I even saw my great great great grandpa's Canon when I visited my hometown last year. he got a Canon by exchanging Igbo slaves to the white men, and most war canoe houses had canons. stop saying trash. we were the wealthiest in those days and we made those wealth by trading igbos and sending them to go and cultivate sugar Cain plantations in the Americas stop talking what you don't know madam, I will School you. you don't know history...I don't blame you because Nigeria do not teach history 1 Like |

EeGooBetter:I use to want my fellow southern brothers to team up with the igbos to form a new nation, but from what I have seen today and how quick the igbos are to claim, never again will I support any union with you people to form a nation, now you call me northern.. smh. I have seen the unseable today. *someone said Nembe is Igbo. * y'all said ijaw is under Igbo * you all try to absorb or subjugate an ethnic group that has been living in the delta for over 8000 years. I don't want a nation with your subjugating kind who thinks everywhere is his. |

Anonymous15:There's an error you made there. Nsuka, Mbanọ and Arọchukwu aren't languages, they're all DIALECTS. I'm from Imo state but if an Nsuka man speaks Igbo I'll understand everything he says. In your case in the so-called South South, there are many different tribes there and some of the tribes speak Igbo. Port Harcourt was Originally Igwe Ọcha before the white man changed its name. Some towns inside port Harcourt bear Igbo names before it was changed by Ken Saro Wiwa and his people during the civil war. I saw a street signpost from Agip that bore Umuobiakani but that town is currently called Umuobiakani, umuola is now rumuola, nwike is now Wike. I have friends who bear typical Igbo names from Rivers State. It's kinda weird when I hear some people from Rivers State say they're not Igbo. Your name is Chima Nwauzo but you're not Igbo? Weird |

Anonymous15:Bro, the people who had power to sell slaves in Igbo land were the Aros, the fellow Igbos.. there are accounts where Ijaws were decimated and they had to bear gifts to appease the Igbos... You guys came to Arochukwu in Igbo land to collect JuJu for protection and the protection of your family. Many of you were taken as slaves. I will dig 1000s of written evidence before you. The reason why much is not said about you regarding the slave trade is because your population was insignificant. The census estimated that you guys were not more than 50,000-100000 in total. That is very insignificant. you guys were minorities. Me too, I am a Nembe man. Thank you. 2 Likes |
