How do you know she was wrongly accused?
Is it because FG intervened? But that is because she is a Northerner.
So what concrete proof is there of her innocence since the drugs were actually in her luggage?

This is the same Saudi that has been executing lots of Nigerians...mostly Northerners , for the same crime.

That the girl even survived was because she had a dad that was a former high ranking government official with connections, who hounded NDLEA office from day one about his daughter's case.

Last time I checked NDLEA wasn't recruiting for like 3 - 4 years now. This ppl are so corrupt.
. You are right. This is one out of 100 federal jobs given to the north which we in the south don't know about. I will blame the politicians from the south that dance to the tune of this northerners just to gain position. Until the south unite and fight this injustice, then all this rubbish will stop.

Well, NDLEA investigated, and found that six airport workers had been running a drug cartel of sorts..where they tagged their illicit drug loads with innocent passenger's names. Eventually, they narrowed their search on 6 people, and one of them confessed, and implicated the others.

Also, the Saudis too noted that the lass did not touch or come near the luggage

Even then, it took 4 months. and the lass spent 4 months in jail over there.

Also, the Saudis have exectued a lot of Northern Nigerians over the years for the same offence.Without bothering with our government.

Well, she is the daughter of a very wealthy Nigerian alhaji, so she was able to afford the tickets and such like.

Just as daughters of wealthy Southerners can afford tickets...papa pays.

She was in Saudi apparently for lesser hajj.(religious reasons)

Some insight into how NDLEA cleared her...via an interview with the father...

My wife called and informed me about the unfortunate incident around 2am Nigerian time. I first submitted to Allah, then early in the morning, I rushed to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) and reported the case to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and lodged a complaint with the deputy commandant of the command both orally and in writing.

Within a few minutes four officials of the National Handling Company (NAHCO) were summoned to his office and asked to produce their codes in order to identify who among them tagged the baggage of travelers on the very day my daughter travelled to Saudi Arabia. Fortunately, while the leader of the team was narrating what happened on that day, a lady among the NAHCO officials called Roda interjected and said she will say the truth, and she was allowed to talk.

In her explanation she said the leader of the team brought a bag to them and directed them to tag it in my daughter’s name. She also said that their leader gave them some money which they shared among themselves.

Roda was saying all this in my presence and after all the narrations, their GSM phones were checked and some text messages were detected indicating how they communicated among themselves, received the bag and tagged it.

Also, a picture of the bag was seen in their phones which was sent to the person who was to pick up the bag at King Abdulazeez International Airport in Jeddah.


To my surprise, the next day, the same lady, Roda, knelt down and held my leg asking me to forgive her, that she only tagged the bag in my daughter’s name to earn a living. So, I told Roda that I have submitted everything to Allah and I will pursue it to its logical conclusion.

What is the probability of the investigation vindicating a northerner considering that more southerners are accused?

When you travel, would you not pick up your luggage if you are of clear conscience?
Is it possible that she had instructions to only observe until the coast is clear or until a pre-designated person picks it?

Well, the lady also had a rich and wealthy father who was a former government official, who hounded the NDLEA office, until they agreed to investigate, and the can of worms was opened.

I also suspect that they have been doing it for a while...the accused criminals...and they got away with it, because their insider always collected the drugs quickly before anyone looked closely. In this case, their insider did not collect the drugs on time in Saudi..the bag was left abandoned for over 10 hours....and then the authorities got suspicious of the abandoned bag.

Finally, you and I don't have the accurate figures for Northerners and Southerners investigated by NDLEA, so we cannot make assumptions as to whether NDLEA FAVOURS northerns over southerns. However, all the people caught by NDLEA regardless of tribe end up confessing. Then there was the Baba Suwe case, where NDLEA were unable to get no evidence despite camping outside his house, and had to give up the case

Also, because most of the media is based in Lagos, a lot of their reports on drug busts center on the MMIA in Lagos. And most of the people passing through that airport are Southerners...so Southerners are more likely to form a majority of drug arrests there..and that is reflected in newspaper reports. But NDLEA also arrests drug dealers in the country...eg people transporting weed from Kano to Kaduna...and I daresay most are Northerners..

Just to please the North. There is no unity in South at all, and even the southern governor's Forum is currently being divided because of some governor's ambition to be president and just to please the North.

South Nigeria has always been at disadvantage yet our leaders are quote pleased with because of their useless and selfish ambition.

Francophone countries don't joke with their laws and before they make arrest, they also take their time to investigate properly. There are a lot of Nigerians selling fellow Nigerians into prostitution in Code d'ivoire. If by their investigations they had found her guilty, it was going to take a long time for Nigerian government to just get her out of that country.

NORTHERN POLITICAL LEADERS ARE ALWAYS READY TO HELP THEIR YOUNG UPCOMING YOUTH TO GET FEDERAL JOBS OR ATTAIN SOME GOOD STATUS.

It does not matter the states that person comes from. He or she will be assisted to secure a better jobs.

SO THEIR YOUNG NORTHERN APPLICANT DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING FIXED UP WITH A JOB AT THE FEDERAL MINISTERIES AND PARASTATALS.

Whether they hold the requisite qualification or not it does not really matter so long as they have a certificate they are posted immediately to commence work.

It is SOUTHERNERS and southern leaders especially people of the south south that are undoing their own people.

WHEN A SOUTH SOUTH MAN for example gets a senior position at the federal or state level he bring down the ladder that take him up.

Both man and woman from the south south region are like that they do not help their people.

THE ONLY TRIBE IN THE ENTIRE SOUTHERN NIGERIA THAT HELP THEIR PEOPLE TO SECURE POSITION IN GOVERNMENT IS BASICALLY IGBOS AND YORUBA.

Once an Igbo man or woman sees an applicant with Igbo names he or she sees that person as his relations and the spirit to assist naturally comes out to play to conclusion. The same too with the yoruba.

But that is not so with the south south people.

EVEN WITH THE CRUDE OIL AND THE BIG MONEY THAT IT BRINGS TO SOME SOUTH SOUTH STATES THERE IS STILL DIVISION.

Those from crude oil producing states feel the crude oil that is being produced is meant for them alone and not for the entire south south region.

It is for these reasons opportunities will be very difficulties to attain if one comes from those minorities tribes in the south south region.

THE LEADERS FROM THESE ZONES ARE NOT TRYING TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN PEOPLE OR NEIGHBOURS AROUND THEM.

For example the Ijaws feel the crude oil is meant for them alone and not to be shared with people from Edo state, Cross Rivers states, etc
