Whether or not Rohr is our coach come the AFCON, there's absolutely no reason for Musa and Ighalo to make the squad ahead of Dennis and Awoniyi... Absolutely none....

Agreed

Just imagine an Eze or Oliseh putting up such performance against United and Everton! Pinnick would have gotten on the plane to beg again!
Even current Awoniyi would have been given a chieftaincy title by Pinnick in his village just to persuade him to play for the SE.

Seriously I am starting to have doubts about FB over home grown players.
Let's see who will perform better in the EPL this season between homegrown Dennis and FB lookman

yeah that game against Real Madrid at the Bernabau. But this is the first time I've seen some level of consistency from him. long may it last

Joebie:
All those league comparison things get as e be. But Dennis has once shown his class in big games in the Champions League.

Nawa o for Dennis playing like prime Hazard grin grin

One thing I honestly believe about Nigerian players is if they keep their head down, apply themselves and show ambition in their play even they themselves will be shocked with what they can achieve.

Bonaventure that was looking like a Belgian league reject now looking almost World class

Dennis was never a reject at Brugge. He was their star player. Pep tried to bid for him but Brugge wasn't ready to listen that was the reason he got angry and started missing training. Pep went for Kayode instead! He wasn't called Neymar for nothing! Yes! He gat some attitude problems cos he knows his worth. Bonaventure was a menace in Ukraine!

No one said ignore. The point is boost competition. Keep building our pool of players. Have a program to develop and boost our home based players. Those that excel in the program gets a chance to compete with the foreign based for places in the team.

This only makes us stronger and in no way means ignore the foreign borns.

Where did you get ignore from?

Read and get the point. Run a program to develop them. If they were ready, there would be no need for development. So not ready yet.

The point is continuous development to find gems. When Westerhof invited Amokachi, he was not ready. He was a 16 years old boy and turned a footballing tyrant in a few years from then.

When Oliseh first came to the National team, Stephen Keshi had to do a lot of schooling on him to meet up to play for the National team. He later turned a Super Eagles legend.

Sometimes I wonder how Rohr keep grinding out results.
Enroute to 2018 world cup,in our home game against Zambia, I couldn't watch the game. I had to leave the sitting room and take a walk.My heart was racing like a automobile engine...
Against CAR and Cape Verde, same emotional turmoils...
I keep coming back after vowing not to watch the Super Eagles Play.

run which program to develop old men?

Such exercise should be channeled to grassroots players rather than wasting time on npfl players whom 80% of them hv been recycled by clubs over the years

Though Dennis seems spasmodic sometimes, hence, one minute he's looking like a prime Neymar next minute, Ahmed Musa, but one thing I have noticed about him is that whenever he gets a grip of his confidence, dude looks quite stable and devastating. Long may this form last.

There's no point engaging him in my opinion. He seems to believe it has to be white to be right. Your phrasing no matter how hard you try wouldn't convince him. He seems to think of your still in Nigeria irrespective of reason it's because your not good enough and anyone who plays in Europe is better

oga carry your racism and bitterness shift. Anybody that wants to best for the super eagles will never recommend the inclusion of npfl players to the team unless in a position the team is lacking decent personnel

We are in 2021 not 1985 so a lot of things have changed so una accaic suggestion and disposition is not and will never be relevant

Brazil and Argentina that has the best league in both south, north and Central America how many of makes their national team?

Morocco and Algeria that can boast of having one of the best leagues in Africa how many frm their local clubs they mk their team?

Folks will be blinded by sentiment always spitting trash

Mk the nff waste tax payers money Dey groom 25-30 yr old carpenters from the local scene when it’s the duty of their various clubs to such

Carpenters that are not even among the best in African club competitions

When was the last time our Chan team did marvelously well?

The money should be channeled to rhe development of youth players like ex nff chairman did that produced the awoniyis, iheanacho, nwakalis, success, ndidis of today just to mention a few
