I think Awoniyi is arguably the best Nigerian player in Europe. He is underrated here.
Zuchyblink doesn't think so
He thinks he's immature for the NT and doesn't have the experience

Forget this home based thing abeg. Our football has gone past that stage. Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Cote D'ivoire, heck even Brazil draws her best from Europe. This is not 1990. Nigerian football has left this your thinking more than 15 years ago. Keshi did a detour back to past but where's Obaobona, where's Mba?
Our best players are in Europe in such good numbers that we can always rebuild from there. Period

You are missing the point. The point is to have a massive scouting pool and finding hidden gems. Our football can not go past anything when we do not have the best players in the world. We need to keep searching.

Unless you are saying our team and pool base are the best in the world. If they are not then we are doing ourselves a disservice from not thoroughly searching and developing.

Look at the work of Maigari and what we have now. It could be better.

Read and get the point. Run a program to develop them. If they were ready, there would be no need for development. So not ready yet.

The point is continuous development to find gems. When Westerhof invited Amokachi, he was not ready. He was a 16 years old boy and turned a footballing tyrant in a few years from then.

When Oliseh first came to the National team, Stephen Keshi had to do a lot of schooling on him to meet up to play for the National team. He later turned a Super Eagles legend.

Then, Nigerian league was good.

Doesn't mean hidden gems have finished in the country. We need programs to keep developing at a high rate.

It is impossible and illogical.

Some players are quality but lack the right technical guide and system to show themselves. Such kind of player will look poor if not given the right opportunity.

Some players just need a room to show their talent.

At the end, the search can't stop because hidden gems are always there.

There is something about home based players. Did you know that the most successful national teams in the world features more home based players than foreign based? The number of home based players that have won international laurels out-numbers foreign based players. Successful national teams like Germany,Italy, Brazil and Egypt achieved greatness with more of home based players. Npfl should try and improve our league. Do you know why super falcons are no longer what they used be? Because they don't play at home again so there is no cohesion

The truth was that Westerhof was able to look and search.

I just dont understand u just when everyone here have begin to hail your foot ball knowledge and even recommending u go into football as manager...You've start to show us your hidden agenda of grooming and unearthing gems in the NPFL a league where u can rarely find 23 - 20 years old balling

I do agree with you but with the way the Nplf is now, they can’t win a spoon.

Our teams in NPFL are struggling to win CAF competitions recently. How can they win World Cup?

The league should be improved and the only way is to privatize the football clubs with the states having minority shares.

Seems VicMoses actually left for a reason, and look no further than Rohr's tactics

Victor Moses: "if you look at our quality in Nigeria, I believe we shouldn't be playing this poor. I am not criticizing the head coach. But we are more like Manchester united at the moment"
Did I not say that Rohr and Ole are the same?

At this point, I don reach to dey do football pundit.

What about playing with three defenders. A traditional 4-4-2 can work. Depending on the way the coach sets the team.

If we are to play 4-4-2, Osimhen should play the SS, while the Iheanacho the CF.

But the fact on ground is that we don't have the midfield that a 4-4-2 requires.
Only Aribo can fit in on the right and maybe Ejuke on the left.

Consider the image below.

Is Omeruo not a married man? He sef dey move women?

Is Awaziem looking for another baby mama?

Disgusting behaviour, especially from Omeruo. He does not even play good enough to be moving mad like that.

you cannot get the best of this European born players. You can only get them when they are rejected by the Oyibo countries or they know that they are not good enough to fight for a place in the national team
