You are still posting nonsense to justify what cannot be justified.

When oil and gas price was low, your paymasters still paid subsidies but the prices on the oil and gas products never reduced. The people feeding fat then didn't ask what they can do for the country.

What better time to remove subsidy when costs were low? Market forces would have taken over and by now price normalized with no much effect on the massses.

Now the next chance is to wait till Dangote refinery comes onboard.

Refineries are comatose and not producing anything, but getting huge allocations because your paymasters have no political will to fix things. The same people benefiting are those the bulk of the subsidies are going to. It is not those causing this that have something to offer the country, but the man on the street according to your thinking.

The years of mismanagement and looting is coming back to bite, and whats your solution? Take from the masses first before your paymasters reduce their take. It might work for a while, but you can keep squeezing the towel, at a point, no water will drop.

Do not ever try to justify your allowance or your slice of the cake here again by shifting the blame from your paymasters to the hardworking masses, in spite of the unfavourable conditions still toiling hard and ensuring that their families are catered for and by proxy, the national cake is whole for your type to have a slice from.

Every of Nigerians corruption has its root in subsidy, big corruption and small corruption all are corruption, we must start somewhere, there is no way these corrupt people give Nigerians a small peanuts in subsidy but sign off trillions using same subsidy and little minds like you are saying let them keep giving us peanuts and keep stealing gold,

Look once subsidy is removed then open market demand and suply would take effect and the thieves would no longer leach on fuel same way they can't leach on the clothes and drugs we are using once cloths and drugs are subsidized that's more Avenue to steal, you don't know what you are saying

Only if a minority of Nigerians understood your logic?, they will support the removal of the subsidy immediately, we don’t need the majority of Nigerians support, just a minority of knowledgeable ones.

Instead of removing subsidy, clean up the process. Fix the refineries or sell them. If it were a (your) private company, would you allow it to post losses and still pump money in from other sources?

The subsidy is arguably the only thing the masses enjoy collectively from govt even though it is still riddled with corruption.

I, for one believes that fuel subsidy should go (just because of corruption, mismanagement and the sabotage of our refineries), but it should be done right. Not when revenue to service the greed of the elites is low, or the repercussion of their actions come to play, you look to what you can take from the masses.

Buhari might be a failure but we only need to pray for him and if he Succeeds in removal of subsidy thats a whole lot, we would pick up our country from there,

Many eyes are on this subsidy, many big shot becuase all these petroleum importers, they would import way more than required, even this is effecting development becuase they would sabotage every effort to bring in electric cars, they would still import generators and sabotage electricity suply, they paid the subsidy just becuase the country can pay for it either through reserve or loans, they don't care and no one owes them a dime per suply, everything must be paid for in full.

The people don't understand that we are only making a few cartel rich, they don't make so much stealing from crude, becuase every barrel is traded direct with forieng countries but subsidy account is here in Nigeria with no international involvement, you can only imagine what these people are doing to all of us.

Fuel subsidy is an Avenue for massive looting where the masses is only given a very little, let fuel be determined by the open market force of demand and suply, the people would adapt, Nigeria have many problems that this subsidy money can be used to fix, the fact is that Nigeria needs to be overhauled from different segments but Removal of subsidy shouldn't be negotiated,

There is no greater time to remove subsidy than now, it does not make economic sense to remove subsidy when dollar price was low, it is when it is high that it makes practical sense to remove it, the country can afford to pay #50 for subsidy but #200 that's a hell no, once subsidy is removed, dollar price will come down becuase Nigerians would use less fuel and there would be really less dollar needs, apparently nothing would be a achieved if we keep listening to flimsy excuses like you are giving, it was affordable for the government when dollar was less priced at this point Nigeria can't borrow huge loans to finance subsidy, if you can't afford petrol, sell your generator and use the proceed to start farming it is that simple.

To save yourself all these headache, google the international price of petrol or better still check the price of Petrol/Gasoline in the United states, see if that's same price they sell in Nigeria, for every extra difference between Nigeria and US, the government Pays the rest, if they had completely removed subsidy, petrol could be a lot costlier, they reduced it but it was not completely scrapped

What grade of petrol should I google in America..America has many grade of petrol at different prices the have grade 87 , grade 89 and grade 92 ( premium) ...The dirty petrol Buhari imports for us can't even be sold in the US because it's considered harmful and yet you want us to buy it at American price ...Do you know what the minimum wage in America is ? The minimum wage in America can not be the same with Nigeria if the people keeps wanting to reap the country unripe, even if we take Madagascar for instance a litre of gasoline over there is about 1.025 dollars, there is similar price in Tanzania, in fact Nigeria is among the top 10 countries where gasoline is the cheapest in the world while we have very poor health sector, with good management it would be better if the money spent on subsidy is used to build world class hospital in Every local government in Nigeria

Everyday Nigerians yearns for a better country where citizens would not just eat three square meals a day but also with chicken and some fine wines.

I really can't boast of what the past have left us but I want a country where my children would be proud of the sacrifices my generation had made, if you want a better country and a better future there MUST be a price to it.

Petrol Subsidy Removal is the first step to getting it right in Nigeria, Note, any aspiring politician in Nigeria MUST borrow Buhari's left ear which he don't like to hear with otherwise you would lose focus soon enough.

Nothing had escalated corruption in the Nigerian history more than Petrol subsidy becuase by that every Nigerian became corrupt, virtually everyone is stealing from the treasury for every litre of petrol.

You might think that the biggest corrupt practices in Nigeria is the crooked allocation of oil wells but the biggest dollars are signed off through this subsidy, and subsidy did not just harm the petrochemical industries it harmed virtually everything.

Petrol Barron are crooks who would suply any amount of gasoline becuase the pay is directly from the national purse and Nigerians over use things that are dependent on petroleum because they don't understand how much they burn from the national purse each time that generator set is powered up.

Nigeria does not refine our crude oil part of the reason is because big petrol importers sabotage efforts to get our refineries working, what about electricity generation this same crazy affordability of petrol had equipped every home with generator set and people don't bother to put pressure on the government to generate more electricity apart from that, the same big conglomerate sabotage these efforts.

Now I know that Nigeria is a very crazy and densely corrupt country, but the reality is that everyone wants to be corrupt in this country, in fact everyone is corrupt, you can't be pointing fingers at the bigger fish when you want to steal over #200 from every litre of petrol you buy, if you look at it very well you figure out that in a month, an average Nigerian could have stolen more than #2000 from the country.

Don't even come here shouting how there is no job, really we export crude oil quite alright, then corrupt politicians and other chiefs would steal then we little people at the bottom steal then tell me how much would be left of our forex to achieve any meaningful thing.

Abroad remittances had been very significant becuase unlike us who stays here, abroad people don't steal from the country, yet they send back some money.

Irrespective of whatsoever reason I give, Nigerians would still prefer that subsidy stays but it is nothing but exhibition of an inherent corruption and unless the subsidy is removed when next you count list of corrupt Nigerians do remember to count yourself, we can't eat our cake and have it back subsidy is either removed today or we pay massive loans tomorrow.

Don't be foolish unless the price floats it's a regular price hike and never subsidy removal.

Buhari & co don't dare float the price. Stupid people that cannot float naira how can they float cost of petrol? You're all foolish people you poster included.

May the Devil take you all.

It been long I admired the devil, the price of petrol can't be float, unlike The currency, once subsidy is removed the price of gasoline would look more like the price of rice, the forces of demand and suply will act, if you put your price so high people will not buy, it have to be moderate with government interfering from time to time to stop ripoff but once subsidy is removed importers and end buyers would determine the price not really the government

So you understand that some people are padding the subsidy so you expect Buhari to go fighting these people, just calculate 90 million minus 26 million litres then multiply it by at least 1$ and see how much money bag you really expect Buhari to fight noting that if you fight them they would fight back, the best approach is to scrap the whole thing.

Do you really think Buhari can fight those guys in the real sense of it, people like Arthur Eze, Tinubu, Adenuga, Dangote etc are not people Buhari can fight, Besides,is Nigeria a gasoline producing country? What we mine is crude oil and no car runs on unrefined crude so Nigeria is in same level with Madagascar, we are both technically not a petrol producing country
