Alot of people here are ignorant about the pains of people who sell online go through in the hands of wicked Nigerians. Pay on delivery sales in Nigeria cost sellers alot of pain and financial losses.

If a person doesn't want a product why asking a seller to supply it when it is clear the seller is putting his money on the line. You never knows how painful it is until you have got an experience of the op
I just tire. They're blaming the guy saying he was desperate. How won't he be desperate when he was made to clear his phone and transport it to another state with his own money?

Last week, I put up my phone for sale on . On Thursday, a guy called me, asked if the phone was still available. We negotiated on the price and had an agreement. The only issue was that, he was in Enugu while I, in Anambra. I agreed to send the phone over to my friend in Enugu who will help finalize the deal. On Friday, I reached out to the buyer and informed him I was going to do the waybill he politely asked me to send him my friend's number which I did after I had sent the phone via waybill. In addition I sent the buyers number to my friend too.

My friend told me he had called the buyer to establish contact so it would be much easier to deal with him when the phone arrives. Though the waybill company wasted a lot of time and the phone got to Enugu around 4pm. My friend called the buyer and he said he was busy that he would call back leta.

He never called back. It really got me worried later that Friday night I called the buyer to get why he didn't reach out again and was surprised when he asked me who I was. Sha, I felt it was a mixed up so introduced myself. He told me he was busy sha he would call back. He still didn't call back. I was very furious so I sent him a text informing him that the phone would be sent back if he doesn't make contact the following morning.

In the morning on Saturday that's yesterday he called me and apologized for the previous day. He then assured me he would reach out to my friend before noon so that they could finalize the exchange... Fast forward to 3pm on Saturday, he never reached out.

I called him and yet again he asked me who I was. Still maintaining my cool, I told him about our previous conversations but this time, he said he was at a wedding that he would reach out later that evening. Till now he hasn't called.

I've been trying to wrap my head around what his motive could be but I'm still not finding a good explanation for his actions.

Meanwhile, while we were negotiating on the price I told him I was using the said phone and I would be resetting my personal data before sending the phone over to him. I asked him to tell me should he change his mind about buying the phone so that I don't lose both my data and waybill money. He assured me he was serious with his intentions to buy the phone.

This night being Sunday, I called again but he aggressively said I was disturbing him so he blocked me.
Honestly, you were acting very desperate. Displaying such desperation could scare the hell out of any buyer.

Next time, even if you're desperate, don't show it; keep your cool. Allow the buyer to show more interest before waybilling anything, and make sure the buyer agrees to add the waybill fee to the price of the phone.

And when the phone arrives at the destination, don't force the buyer to call whoever is going to hand the phone over to the buyer. If you sense the buyer isn't serious about calling, give a time ultimatum when the phone will be unavailable and leave it at that.

And when all that was happening, were you loosing money for transporting said products?
You people talk anyhow sha.
lol. Just recently, I made a supply twice for someone without getting paid one kobo. Just last week, she told me she's no longer interested and I should go take my stuff off her site. That's 40,000 materials down the drain. I didn't add cost of labor, transport and whatnot. You salary earners and students think business is easy

Zero sympathy from her but I learnt my lessons.

It's pretty obvious the guy is no longer interested in buying the phone...just cancel the deal and move on.

Next time someone approaches you for such a transaction ask him to make part payment as a show of seriousness
This bolded won't work as well.

I don't know what they gain in doing that nonsense.. 2016 i put a BB10Q on jiji out of 5 people that called me for the phone 4 were fake calls.. They will called me to come to a certain place when i get there called the number back it will tell me the number does not exist. one frustrated me from one local government to another when i reached i called him he told me he is not interested again making me waste my money on transport. Finally a genuine person called and buy it.

Don't blame me for using the ''stale line'' as you called it, I was completely stunned by your beauty (judging from the pic on your dp), which I'm ain't even sure if that's the real you but I am ready to take to the risk sha, and I couldn't come up with anything to start up a conversation.

Unique and modern? Come on babe, there isn't any line I will use/say that you haven't heard of, and yeah I know it was random and too forward to mention you the way I did but you seem like an interesting person and have got a nice smile too, so i couldn't help but say hello.

Or and thanks for the luck.

Similar case here with the same person:

I posted my 7plus on Jiji, one guy from Enugu called me that he's interested, and that we'll run it via waybill, say I go tell the driver say make e no release the phone to am till he transfers the money to me, I agreed..
So I went to do the waybill yesterday, the driver no come do wetin I tell am, just gave the guy the phone and left and now this morning, the guy is telling me that the phone has problems I didn't tell him about and he doesn't want it anymore, so I told him he should return the phone then... He told me I have to pay him 6k for all the stress and money he wasted... I DMed a friend to help me transfer the money to the guy as my bank is having issues say I go pay am back which he did and now the guy is saying he hasn't received any money and that the account wey him gimme na POS person account, meanwhile I know say na him own... And now he doesn't want to send the phone back, with the talks that he hasn't received the money when he has clearly received it.

I'll send the transaction proof below
