I guess you had started your lectures online before you were invited for the interview

According to the three people I've asked here and from the answers given, I'm typing this. Alongside some other information as well.

I figured that this new rule of Category B could have started quite recently, because I'm sort of sure that I saw that rule while checking the requirements on the website in late 2020(could be wrong about when it started, but I'm just saying that's when I saw it first.)

As you know, the world is still trying to accommodate normal life alongside the COVID-19 situation, so immigration could still be tight in some areas.

[s]Now, I feel the reason the Consulate/Embassy is making things quite uneasy for Nigerians is this: in the past, some Nigerians have gone through this process like us, they've gotten to Germany and then they've done a lot of substandard things and then gotten deported. Some have gone the wrong road and entered illegally, caught and also deported. Obviously, the normal response would be to halt or at least, neck up the process, making it quite difficult for others, all in an effort to curb such situations, which isn't surprising because Nigerians like to cause trouble. Germany isn't the only country that has done this. Poland, France, even the UK and US have started stressing the process for Nigerians because we seem to have made things worse.[/s]

However, from these three people who have recently gotten good progress, I am optimistic that the embassy is still giving feedback. The waiting time may still be quite tedious, but there's still hope. At the moment, Germany and the EU as a whole are facing some major immigration issues and I feel that could also be another reason for the delay. However, it would appear that Olaf Scholz may bring in a new law favouring immigration, so let's pray and be hopeful.

I, myself have been waiting for some time now, but I haven't given up. I advise you try doing something else that keeps you less bothered. Here's one thing I do a lot: I open Google Maps, search the university i want to go, or at least, the airport and do a virtual tour. That really brings my faith to a good level. One of my favourite bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11. You can make it yours too. Gather your faith and expectations, take it to God and watch what He will do.

Also, bitte, mach euch keine Sorgen. Alles wird gut.
Gott wird uns helfen, Amen.

(See the image I posted, from the three people in this group, God did it for them, He will do for us)

Nigerians are not even much in Germany to start with. And, Nigerian students don’t do any bad stuffs compared to any other Non-EU nations.

You can’t compare data of those who migrated illegally(through sea or refugee) with those who migrated legally like students.

However, the covid-19 stuff is a more valid reason for the tight immigration control. And secondly, there are too many applicants applying from Nigeria, and I believe there’s a quota for each country. So, I guess this is one of the reasons why it’s so hard right now to get a student visa.

And please, stop the bs rumours that Nigerian students are doing bad stuffs in Germany, this is totally wrong on all grounds. Nigerian intellects have the great reputations of being outstanding at their work places all over the world.

I don't know why Nigerians keep messing up in another's man land.
Yes, it's true Poland is really tough to enter.

Messing up where?
Where's your data?
Where did you get your information from?
Unu zukwanu ike!
Guard your tongues and glue your hands whenever they're pushing you to write things like this.
Nigerian students are doing well all over the world.
High population of people who wants to leave Nigeria is the challenge.
Indians,Iranians,Pakistanis are facing the same challenge.

I disagree with your third paragraph.
Obviously, you can't prove this, because,it's based on 'hear say'.
Otherwise, show me your data or the reputable cum impeccable media source you got the information from.
Nigerians are rated as the most educated black people on earth in the US.Why will the narrative change in Germany?
High population and wicked leaders are causing visa challenges for you and not innocent Nigerians living abroad, who suffered to escape on their own.

Hello guys

I have been following the thread, so I'm quite sure knowledgeable about the whole Germany application process. In the previous posts/threads, someone posted that if you have B2 German Language Certification you're automatically qualified for Category A, so therefore I would like to confirm if this is true

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Nobody: 8:46am On Nov 29, 2021
Hello all, asking about scholarships, I wasn't able to find many sponsored by the government, but I found some other ones. Do they accept those ones for category A or it has to be publicly funded?

The one,@nameundisclosed,posted is current.
You can also go to the consulate's site to see things for yourself.

Good day all,

I want to know the list of all documents to take along to the embassy. I will also like to know if it is possible to go with neco certificate instead of waec certificate that was used during the admission processing.
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Johnnyark: 6:10pm On Nov 29, 2021
NECO is acceptable. For the list of documents, check the national visa section on the German embassy website

You can get your German health insurance from here and use that.

Otherwise, you may try axa Mansard. It is quite popular with people on this thread.

Hello everyone.
The application form to fill, is it the newly VIDEX on-site form or the regular form from before?
Need clarification on this, please.

Use the new VIDEX online. It's better as it would indicate and validate all necessary fields.
It's also faster for them to scan the barcode at the embassy.

To God be the be the glory. I have received my visa.

It's been a very long walk. I actually got an AD in December 2020 but due to an unfortunate turn of events, I had to forfeit it. Anyway, God has His own plans and timing.

Booked on 1st April. Cat B

AD: 19.10.21.

Interview: 26.10.21 (Just a week to prepare and fund block account. It was a race against time but God came through.

AM: 22.11.21. (I submitted my travel date and insurance certificate on the same day)

Visa: 27.11.21 (I went to dhl to collect it, rather than wait for delivery)

My Interview Questions:
What do you know about Germany?
Economy of Germany?
Geography of Germany? Etc.
Why did you choose to study in Germany?
Why your chosen programme?
Do you speak German?
Final year project?
Plans after studies?

Then I was given some multiple choice questions to solve.

Thank you to all the people who supported me with information when I reached out. I couldn't possibly name you all.

I wish everyone the best.

Question to guys that have gone through an interview. When registering for an appointment, is it wrong to exclude my middle name since there is no field for that or do I include it with my first name separated by a space in the first name field.
