I beg to differ here. After graduating from Medicine, the society needed his input. Who may know those that died he may have saved

He could easily have gone for pharmacy as a second degree yet he wasted another 5yrs reading a course he already did a chunk of in medical pharmacology

A lot of doctors go for specialisation in areas they have interest rather than going back to the root of the course

This is the type of story I want to be hearing and the type of youth I'd always want to identify with , no be to dey fight over trader money or pollute the thread with N-power registration, which they've bought the glory and destiny of our youths with , all in the name of poverty alleviation. Hahaha... This is not computer or ICT related. You obviously don't know about the course and obviously you didn't read the part where he said he reads for 17 hours daily. That's how intense Pharmacy Is as a course and why the failure is high in Pharmacy schools.

He would have failed if he didn't read that hard ! Medicine would have only helped him in Pharmacology and some part of Clinical pharmacy, the rest about 75% of the course content ,including Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutics, Forensic Pharmacy Laws etc, are completely different.

That is why Pharmacy Is not under the College of Medicine Don't confuse Pharmacy for the others that are usually part of the College of Medicine.
This is nice and commendable. I hope it can go round without giving room for hoarding or ripoff.

Medical Pharmacology is perhaps 5% of the total content of Pharmacy. Why not just look up the content of Pharmacy online so you won't be confusing Pharmacology for Pharmacy. Pharmacology is just a fraction of Pharmacy, a part of this is now for Medical Pharmacology so he had covered less than 10% of what he needs to cover in total. He will learn the remaining part in Pharmacy school.
Btw, he already told you that he wasn't fulfilled until now.
Please be happy for him. Studying a section of the different parts of Pharmacy at M.Sc doesn't make you a Pharmacist You won't get inducted into the profession and will have no practicing license.
He is obviously interested in the fulfilment of having that license and he got it in style. Please be happy for him.

Lol let PCN catch you. He did medical pharmacology for just a year, he wants to have it now for 5 years. He wants to formulate drug. He wants to become a community Pharmacist.

Don't mind him. We have previous degree holders in the faculty and they ace well than us.

Unfortunately best graduating student doesn't guarantee success in Nigeria... cos most successful guys I know today came out with either an average or bad result.

I think it was more expensive for him because of the school he attended. Some universities and state governments support serious students like him. I know a few serious students like him at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) on UNILAG scholarship, a private organisation scholarship and the annual state bursary.

For someone as determined as he is, lack of money will not stop him.He is a go-getter not those who whine and cite excuses as reason for their failure to achieve their life goals.
Excuses are for failures. Start pursuing your dream today.
