Sometime in 2050, the kids then will also make statements like, "did you know that a bag of cement in 2021 was less than 5k, so why on earth did our parents not build houses everywhere?" or "did you know that in 2021, with just 5million, you could get a good tokumbo car, but even with 20 million, you can't even get a 10th hand car".
As the quantity of money that is available increases, so does the value reduces. Dollar may have been 56kobo in 1980 but to earn that 1 naira, you go sweat. So many of these direct comparison serve very little purposes other than to remember the good old days,

Better days ahead, the good old days can't be compared to the better future days. Provided there are deliberate plans to make it better

Your tackles assumes that motivational messages are for the poor non-hustlers alone, maybe, because you see the world from a poor man's view, nyamanyama and baldheads.

What if the audience was very OK financially "today" and already making good money from their hustles.

Are bad decisions like overspending and poor or no investments made by non-hustlers only?

Please stop replying that guy.
He is an attention seeker.
He is also a troll.
Just leave him, he should continue arguing with himself.
His reasoning is very shallow.

Does the total (size) assets of an investment company determine how strong they are and how liable to fail or stand?

Which is the strongest among FBNquest, stanbic ibtc, united capital? United capital gives 9% on money market currently while stanbic gives 7.5% or less, I wonder this big gap. I want to trade with the strongest brands, hence this question, and by the way does it matter to choose the strongest when investing In money market when each have different custodian ?

Nothing like the strongest, except you are looking at the size of the fund under management.

Returns on fixed income and Money Market Funds by fund managers, is like a league. The one with the highest return this month, might be the lowest next month

1: Question for Emmanuelewumi and other contributors in this forum, just thinking out loud, can we say in 2021 that Nigerians or the investing public ( Nigerians) are smarter, careful and more cautious now in their INVESTMENT PLANS compared to few years ago when many people invested in the STOCK MARKET and were burnt by Acid and lost their investment.

2: Secondly, we still have different PONZI SCHEMES going on just like it was few years ago and different people are been taken to the SLAUGHTER SLABS by the various Ponzi operators, they collect people's fund, pay few big returns and one's they trap more gullible people in their WICKED CAGE they vamoose to Planet Jupiter with people's FUND to go and build A Duplex in Planet Jupiter and hide their forever shocked

3: Number 2 is still happening in our very eyes in Nigeria, can we conclude that the INVESTING PUBLIC is still gullible despite all that happened to similar Ponzi operators in the past shocked

New mugus are produced everyday.

Experience is the best teacher

We all want to hammer and be successful, there is nothing wrong with that.

You can mistakenly come across money, but you can't mistakenly build wealth.

I saw a post today when a guy tried to commit suicide inside a bank because his account was wiped out by fraudster.

What are the measures to follow in order to prevent such occurrences? I heard that one SIM can be cloned to perpetrate fraud. Anyone with tangible info should educate us so that we don't fall prey to these monsters

The one full proof measure one can take is not subscribe to mobile and internet banking. With that, no money can leave your account except the fraud is perpetrated by your bank staff or there is a mistake.

The disadvantage of that is that you will always have to be present in your bank before any transaction is made.

They are the same in that they are both FGN bonds with these two individual qualities:

1. FGN Savings Bonds are issued for two and three year durations on subscription and the interest is paid quarterly.
2. FGN Bonds offer a cocktail of durations up to 30 years and the interest is paid semi-annually.

Re: ROI - you will find that the yields are typically higher the longer the bond duration is and vice-versa.
