I can't factor why people who are supposed to be carriers of good news, hope and bright future has turned their selves to doomsday preachers & naysayers.
May Nigeria succeed.
Except you don't have eyes and ears would you differ. Our leaders are treading that path already. Where in the world is politics being played this way, tell me? Scores are dying daily but what they're after is 2023 elections which some of them would not even live to witness. Things are getting out of hand, except we're deceiving ourselves would we say otherwise. Maybe you just jumped to read news here for the first time today. Go back and read earlier news post..maybe you'd reason differently

What is good news to some might be bad news to others. I just tend to see the brighter side of life.

Southsouth will have their own independent country, unless they willingly agree to form a united nation with Southeast, with each region being solely in charge of their resources.

I am Igbo, but I tell you, majority of Igbos desire Nigeria to split and the reason is not about crude oil or economy, but mostly because of Northern peoples greed and way of life which does not allow equity and security of lives and properties, so Igbos don't want to wait until Northerners crash the nation with their barbaric Islamic religious practices which is not the same with what UAE, Qatar and other forward thinking Muslim countries are practicing.

Yes the start won't be smooth economically but the love and passion Igbos have for Biafra will make all Igbo sons and daughters to give in their best to make the new nation succeed, even if it means contributing money like Igbos have been doing under IPOB which no other tribe can do.

South Koreans contributed money to Kickstart their country and look at where they are today.

Crude oil is a curse to black nations.

Biafra will depend mostly on human capital development, craft, trade, etc, not just on mineral resources. All these have been discussed and tabled ahead and solutions already put in place.

Also mind you, southeast have crud oil. The crude oil reserve might not be as huge as the ones currently explored in Niger Delta regions because it is being shared among huge population, but when it is shared among southeast regions alone, it will become enough with adequate management and leadership.

Also Southeast have the highest natural gas reserve in Nigeria and you know what that means?

that is ehn enjoyment go kill ibos be that

You're not being realistic, stop fantasizing!
Yorubas can only have Lagos if Nigeria breaks up, same applies to North/Middle belt with Abuja!

Go and check your history, Lagos even used to be an independent region separate from Western region!

The oil and gas in Igboland and SS will never be enjoyed 100% by the owners except Nigeria breaks up completely. Even in the first republic, the regions were paying certain percentage to the central government from resources in their domain.

Never support something that will put you in serious disadvantage!
Lagos State is different from the Federal Territory of Lagos. Go read your history and stop been ignorant.

Actually, all Nigerians love free things.

1.Most Nigerians don't want to have subsidy on petrol removed.

2.Most Nigerians don't want to have power companies set the price of the power they sell

3.Most Nigerians also want to have the government apparently 'regulate' the prices of food and gas 'for the masses'

4.Most Nigerians don't pay taxes...only 30-40% of Nigerians pay taxes for the rest of the populaiton.

5.Most Nigerians also think that when their son or daughter is in government, they should get freebies.

6.Most Nigerians also refuse and resist the idea of tolls on roads.

7. When the FCT was charging a parking ticket/meter...guess who got it stopped? Nigerians.

8.Even short term loans from loan apps...Nigerians won't pay as due, and would even share tips on how to avoid paying.

Stop blaming the Fulanis...and no it does not mean that I said you should not blame Buhari...because he has not done well at all. But Nigeria is not prospering because Nigerians think that there is a national cake we must eat from.
you've left the real topic about Nigeria's break up and you are yarning okoto meow meow...

People optimistic about revolution, secession, and split over are pessimistic to me, the worse that can happen is Nigeria military taken over this country.

All what you listed are true and not just common to Nigerians alone but all humans.

It is the responsibility of government to chart the better course for the nation to follow and succeed.

Many Nigerians dont want to pay tax because the crude oil wealth being generated is being mismanaged by the government and on top that, they want people to still pay tax, for what?

When Nigerians travel to developed nations with accountable and responsible government, they pay tax and follow their laws.

If government show accountability and responsibility in managing whatever resources available to their disposal, by using it sincerely to better the life of their citizens, believe me, people will be glad to pay tax.

Nigerians are the only set of people that dont revolt against government whenever there is a price hike or sudden price increase, citizens of most nations wont take it, they will revolt.

The major problem with Nigeria and most African nations is that colonial masters lumped together people of diverse or opposing cultures, values, beliefs and lifestyle as one nation, which brought about ethno religious tuzzle and political favoritism within the ruling class and gradually this gave birth to sheer nepotism, corruption and clannish leadership style that have jeopardized black African nations from achieving communal progress.
Thank you my dear brother!! You are on point. The day Nigeria stage a unrelenting and ceaseless revolution against the corrupt Nigerian politicians is the day poor Nigerians will be librated from the shackle of our wicked politicians but that something I think it is impossible to do in this mult ethnic country. Lack of cooperation, fear and unity will not allowed them to succeed. Nigerians like enduring with any situation they find themselves that is the reason why these corrupt politicians always take them for granted and as a fool. European citizens cant take half of the shit we all went through in this country without staging a revolt against their corrupt and greedy leaders. Let us read about French Revolution and the causes of French Revolution.

When we split, we can then face the consequences of splitting.

Nigeria as a single entity is not working and it's not even showing any symptoms of working in any distance future. So where is the sense of continue living in the fear of splitting?

Lord have mercy.
I was in court recently and the magistrate in describing the rot in Nigeria, after sharing his experience told the court that he is not among the people who still believe and proclaim that Nigeria will be better

Tell us you want false prophets to tell you what you want to hear. No dey disguise. Nigeria may break up before 2025. Ever since the civil war, Nigeria has never been this divided. Add hyper inflation and insecurity and see if its not feasible.

First start north winning 2023 election rigged or not

This will drive them south beyond there limit

Imagine another 8 years under north

As a northern win

He automatically becomes president of northern Nigeria

It will all go turn when south stops following there orders and set up there own government

If the north try military then a civil war has finally started

For the sake of peace let the northerner’s leave 2023
This there born to rule will not work in 2023
It will mean war

Whatever...

I am one of those those who believe segments of Nigeria will do better when power is decentralized.

I give you main example from the SE.

Are you saying that the FG roads in the east will be that bad if they were on their own? Or that they wont find money to build their airports to international standard, and also build rail networks?

Now they can't do these, as most of those items are in the federal executive list...and they have to wait for the FG who are heavily politicized to get this development across. You will see lowly informed people saying that you didn't vote for APC or PDP, bal, bla, bla.

I don't know if this makes any meaning to you.
Wike fixed federal road and got his money back.
