I kind of agree. If sponsorship is what you need. Mba, msc hr might not help you. Go for a skilled degree check linkedin and see for example, The internationals in the uni you got admission to did they get a job after studying same mba, msc hr with sponsorship and stayed back. Pay for linkedin premium and you have to dig deep and do in-depth research.

Nursing is no 1 job with sponsorship. I googled it today and the number of sponsorship I saw was just too many.

They shouldn't try this nonsense Redlist again, ever!

Colossal failure

Was reading something in the daily mall or mail link earlier today in the comment section

Someone mentioned that Switzerland placed the UK on a red list alongside other African countries, they then removed / scrapped the entire red list after some days

UK that is on another country’s red list then went and placed African countries on a red list despite detecting more cases, having more infection and death rates too grin

I went and fact checked on Swiss government’s official website and found this to be true

You wey suppose dey red list dey put another person for red list

No be juju be that?

For sure, the NHS is recruiting nurses left and right from outside UK (including naija), how much more those who trained here. There should have no problem finding sponsorship

The catch is that permanent staff nurses don't earn much for the effort involved but potential to earn more if you are an agency staff later on

You don't need to pay premium once you activate your LinkedIn notification.

Jobs will just start pouring into your notifications. You might get confused and tired because everyday there are companies posting jobs even on a Sunday. I saw my job on a Sunday morning. Some will review your cv on LinkedIn download it and contact you. Some will send you a DM on LinkedIn.

Most people are not persistent when it comes to job search in their field as long someone says there is no opportunity in that your field they have lost it. They won't bother searching again. They want to start a new degree which doesn't have to be the case.

Hi all!

I need some advice. I'm looking to buy a car to be used mainly for commuting to work. I am not paying cash for it so which one of these methods of financing is advisable; CS, PCP, or HP. The car is just a means to an end and I might sell it at the earliest opportunity. My budget is less than £150 pounds monthly and less than £7,500 cash value.

Also can anyone recommend an automatic driving instructor in Birmingham for a refresher course (I've always driven manual. I'm looking to transition to automatic. I hate changing gears with my left hand). I live around King's Heath.
I'd appreciate any reasonable contribution.

Get a loan rather than using finance from a car dealership. Check MSE and use the eligibility calculator for loans. Interest rates are lower and payments are more flexible

Is there anything about the notification? Or it’s the regular job alerts one receives in our email inbox from LinkedIn?

I changed my location to London , England for a week and I received at least one message per day from recruiters

Weird cos Nigerian recruiters barely ever send DMs LOL

Coming into Glasgow also by January

I pray you get a good apartment according to your budget.

mystikal:
Just putting this out there for any help I can get.

Arrived Glasgow on the 27th of November, stayed at a B&B for some days before moving into a recommended friend's flat in Maryhill road G20 where I am paying 400 pounds/month for a room. This arrangement is just for a month as the original room owner is due back in the first week of January.

I am currently searching for a studio or one room in a flat to move in before January in Glasgow. I have searched all the relevant sites and found a few, and looks like I might be settling for a 600 pounds/month room in G1 cos of the aesthetics, flexibility of tenancy and proximity to the University of Strathclyde where I am doing my PhD, but it is quite pricey and was looking for something in the region of 400-500 pounds per month, and was hoping if anyone here has any information that might help. I would be most grateful

Hi bro,

I will advice you to put more effort on open rent. The conversation is direct with the landlord and most landlord in Glasgow are reasonable. I also think your £400 budget is reasonable and if possible you can increase it a little bit.

I understand you want to stay close to your school. But here are some suggestion which I think are worth considering.
1. It might be noisy around that Univeristy area and I don’t know what you like, but you can get an apartment outside the city center for a good price and above all a good apartment.
2. First bus is a very good bus company in Glasgow and a year student bus pass (£400) means you can go out anywhere and anytime within the city. That’s paying £1.1 a day for unlimited bus access in that day. Normally it is £4 for a days bus pass for student.
3. You can also get a flat (mayb 2bed) with a fellow student and share the rent and bills. Atleast you guys will only pay for rent as you will both get exemption on council tax for the period of your study. This is not a bad idea if you are single and don’t mind sharing flat.

My advice will be, get an apartment outside the city center, then get a 1year bus pass. You will see nice apartment with that your £400 pound somewhere around East Kilbride. And yes it might be above 30mins bus drive to your school, but first bus frequent that place with multiple buses going that direction and above all, the apartment will be very very nice.

If you specifically want to stay around your school and don’t mind a little city noise, then ignore my advice above. Also I have called you bro because of the (m) on your profile, if I was wrong you correct me. It’s more reasonable addressing people by what they prefer.

Regards and welcome to Glasgow.

So damn true.. even while i was a trainee, I got loads of in-mails for jobs. Very tempting ones, but I had to focus on the prize. A well articulated LinkedIn profile does the magic in most cases.

More than painful and frustrating, there was no need to force only a few people to pay to isolate especially when you tested negative 24hrs before boarding. People should be allowed to isolate at home and stop isolating after day2 negative test.

There was no need for that as nobody troubles you when you traveled within the EU fully vaccinated and with negative PCR result.

Hello All,

Is it a must I arrive in the UK on the date I specified during my app?

Can i go earlier, maybe 2 days before or 4 days after?

Checked ticket prices and it seems cheaper some days before and after

Kindly clarify

Thanks!
