Maybe they didn't have time, it possible they were rounding up prisoners when N.A crashed party,
Or N. A. Exaggerated rescue... Maybe the station was 1 minute from falling and the troops saved the day....
No way N.A will cook up lie against a federal institution when they know they will defend themselves.

I also noticed that. Maybe it's a training mission ? They're allowed to make mistakes!
What you do in Training is what you are most likely to do in a real life situation.

Your training will determine your actions in reality.

That's why in training it's made as realistic as possible with no be detail left out.

An undisclosed number of unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday attacked the headquarters of Abia State Police Headquarters in Umuahia the state capital, killing one person.

The victim according to a reliable source who spoke with ABN TV is an Inspector of Police who was on guard duty on the road in front of the headquarters.

The attackers were said to have struck around after 1am on Monday but were repelled by the superior firepower of the policemen on duty.

They were said to have unsuccessfully attempted to overrun the station.

When contacted, the PPRO of Abia State Police Command, SP Geoffrey Ogbonna said he was yet to be briefed on the development.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Leo Irabor has ordered 50 Generals in the Nigerian military to tender their resignation with immediate effect.

They cut across the Air Force, Army and Navy; around 25 of the senior officers are in the Army.

An impeccable source told DAILY POST that Irabor gave the directive at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Monday.

At a 2pm meeting, the CDS thanked them for their service and told all present that it was high time they left office.

But the Course 36 Generals still have more than three years before their retirement.

“They are about 50; 2 of them in the Army will retire in 2022, while the rest have about 3 and half years left in service”, the source revealed.

Another source wondered why the Armed Forces are eager to ease out scores of capable and experienced hands at a time the country is battling insecurity.

Ironically, Irabor recently intervened in the 2016 forceful retirement of 38 Army officers via a letter (Ref. No. CDS/8/A) to Defence Minister, Bashir Magashi, a retired Major General.

They were asked to go in June 2016, an action described as arbitrary by those affected, security personnel, experts and Nigerians.

Till date, the military and the federal government are yet to comply with extant court judgments ordering the officers’ reabsorption.

In January 2020, Justice Rukiya Hasstrup at National Industrial Court in Abuja faulted the Army decision and directed their reinstatement.

In May 2020, Justice Edith Agbakoba approved that contempt of court charge is filed against military chiefs for failing to comply with a valid order.

The tradition in the military is that once the junior is made the Service chief, the senior will automatically bow out.

The COAS Is a 37RC, invariably All the 36RC will retire, this was the case when Lt Gen Faruk YAHYA took over, all the 36RC were preparing to leave, but CDS intervened by approved a course for all of them.

Perhaps, they are through with their programs and as such they will have to go.

Though I have their list.

It was learnt that the gunmen struck around 8pm, shooting sporadically at vehicles in order to immobilise them and abduct the passengers.

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKDEC 14, 2021

Many travellers were feared killed and scores kidnapped as terrorists and bandits opened fire on travellers along the busy Kaduna-Zaria Road in Kaduna State on Monday evening.

According to Daily Nigerian, the attack occurred at Kofar Gayan on the outskirt of Zaria.

It was learnt that the gunmen struck around 8pm, shooting sporadically at vehicles in order to immobilise them and abduct the passengers.

Witnesses noted that the attackers had taken many travellers into the bush before the arrival of security agents.

“They kidnapped many travellers, some fled, while others who were shot at. It will be difficult to determine the number of those killed or abducted,” said a witness.

Another witness said one Sani Dogara was shot dead by the terrorists.

The police are yet to speak on the incident.

The incident on Kaduna-Zaria Road happened a day after same bandits opened fire on travellers along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, killing two passengers aboard a J5 bus.

The incident occurred between 10:30pm and 11:00pm on Sunday but there was no response from security operatives despite the proximity to a security check post.

Well everything must come to an end. This thread lasted for so long because most people stuck by the rules. When some elements started consistently flouting the rules of the thread and getting away it, the sanity of the thread came down. Ideally, a good member of this thread should have been made an admin. The conversations on the Telegram channel is far elevated than what we have here. Also, there are multiple admin to ensure sanity. So, I expect it to last quite long.

Many Facebook groups based in Mali and Nigeria began sharing a video of a helicopter on December 9, claiming it showed an aircraft delivering weapons to terrorists. In Mali, the posts often accused the French government of operating the helicopter, while posts coming from Nigeria laid the blame on the Nigerian government. In reality, the video is from neither one of these countries – it was filmed in the Central African Republic during a routine supply drop.

https://observers.france24.com/en/africa/20211215-helicopter-weapons-terrorists-nigeria-mali-debunked

In the roughly three-minute video, a helicopter lands in a field before several people start to unpack its cargo.

The video has been shared widely in Nigeria. Some posts claim that it shows "Fulani terrorists" being supplied by the government. Others say that the people receiving the supply are Boko Haram.

Posts including the video, some of which have more than 300,000 views, were also shared in Mali, claiming to show "palpable proof" that the French army is involved in supplying terrorist groups there. This kind of rhetoric is commonly used by conspiracy theorists to stir up anti-French sentiment in the country.

One of the videos was shared with a voiceover in Bambara, one of Mali's 13 national languages. The voiceover says the video reveals some of the things that are really going on "in the bush", stressing that the unidentified people in the video are speaking Fulani and that there is a white man present.

Looking for clues in the video and sound
Several sources, including members of the Tabital Pulaaku association, which promotes the Fulani language, confirmed to FRANCE 24 Observers that the people speaking in the video (who can be heard from 2:20 onward) do speak Fulani, but with an accent from eastern Niger. The discussion, however, does not offer any clues, consisting of an exchange of greetings and instructions on how to unload the helicopter.

On closer inspection of the video, however, it is possible to identify a crucial clue: a logo on the side of the helicopter, as well as a number, difficult to discern, on the back.

With the help of BenbereVerif, a fact-checking media outlet in Mali, we were able to identify the logo. It belongs to "African Parks", a nature conservation NGO based in South Africa that manages 19 parks across the African continent. We matched up the logo with other photos of African Parks helicopters that we found online.

'The helicopter was transporting the Chinko outreach teams and their supplies to the park'
The African Parks operations manager, Erik Mararv, told the FRANCE 24 Observers team that the video was filmed in Chinko park, a nature refuge in the Central African Republic, which is managed by his organisation. He explained:

A video related to false information has been circulating on social media, distorting the location, people and activities in the footage.

African Parks can confirm that the videos shows one of its helicopters carrying out a routine resupply mission in Chinko, in the Central African Republic, on December 4. African Parks manages the site in partnership with the Central African government.

During the mission, the helicopter was transporting the Chinko [Reserve] outreach teams and their supplies to the park, dropping off one team and their supplies in the field, and picking up another team.

These teams conduct extended outreach missions in the field to engage with livestock owners who move through the area seasonally. They initiate a dialogue about the location of the Chinko [Reserve] to encourage them to use the established routes around the park's perimeter.

These outreach teams are unarmed, clearly identified and recruited from the local community in order to establish a relationship of trust with local herders, according to African Parks.
