Serious stuff 50 Cal. Sniper Rifle , with Thermal night optic sight. It looks like the British AS50 made by Accuracy International UK.

This rifle is very effective in the hands of a trained operator, 1.5km accuracy assured. That means that at 1km away you can put one round into the engine block of a technical ( HMG carrying soft and skinned pick up truck) and Engine is KAPUT, it's going nowhere. An incendiary round into the cabin and all the Boko combatants are toasted.

You really don't need to be calling me for air support.

However, l don't think we seem to to employ be this tactic. It was very mcommon among British marines in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Those people cannot depend on grants and aids all their lives. They need to be stimulated to earn their own living now that they've been resettled. If steps like this are not taken, 20 years from now many of them will still be dependent on aids.
