There are 40 Israelites that wrote those 66 book so each writer is known that's why no other book comes in! smiley
is Samuel the prophet not known? When you say known, known by whom? Do you mean know by those who complied the bible? I gave you example's of books quoted by other prophets. So clearly these people where known. Except that those who complied the bible did a poor job

Matthew’s reference to a prophecy that Jesus would be a Nazarene (2:23) is interesting when it is considered that our present Old Testament seems to have no statement as such. Clearly that prophecy was omitted from the bible.

Our God is not for confusion {1Corinthians 14:33} so if there are other books INSPIRED outside those 66 books then there can never be oneness in thought as Jesus prayed {John 17:22} because books from different sources will be revered as inspired then there's no way anyone can ascertain right or wrong in worship. 1Corinthians 1:10

Do you now see the reason why Jehovah's Witnesses only trusted those 66 books?

In fact that's why all other religions can't face one direction because they're confused as to which book is inspired of God! smiley
You keep saying if there are other books out of the 66 there can never be oneness. Is 66 the official number for oneness.
Who complied the bible? Do we know their names or qualifications. When was the bible complied? How did they decide what to add and what not to add?

You should have told him It is not a case of if there are other. Reality says there are other books outside these 66 books.

YES! I'm one out of millions of marketers our Master, Lord and King sent out to sell life's water for FREE! Matthew 10:8 compare to Revelations 22:17
So my friend i am one of the marketers of the Good News of God's Kingdom! smiley
My dear marketer hope you know you have not answered any of my questions on additional scripture. Instead you have been beating around the bush.
Please address the following.
Who decided that only 66 books were needed?
Who complied the bible, what was there qualifications?
Why would you say the writings of prophets and apostles like Paul, Samuel and Enoch are not inspired?
Why did writers in the bible quote these books if they are uninspired?
Did God ever indicat that he would not have more than 66 inspired writings or is it your opinion and your church position?
Have you read any of these books? If yes, how do they cause confusion like you cliam?

I await what he makes of the screenshots below in this post regarding those books outside the 66 books.

The first image obtained from their publications, the second image is from new world encyclopaedia.

Who compiled the 66 books? Who decided what was inspired or not. You claim Paul's letterm to the Ladocians was an uninspired writing of Paul?
Or that the book of Samuel the prophet was uninspired?
How did you decide what was inspired and what is not? What is your yardstick?
Have you ever sit down and think about medicines that works perfectly?
After seeing how perfect the medicine WORKS do you still contemplate how it's ingredients were mixed?
Do you worry about some other ingredients as something to be added or subtracted from it's ingredients?

My friend, the yardstick to ascertain that God's inspired word (Bible) is complete with those 66 books is here today.
God said:

In the final part of the days, The mountain of the house of Jehovah Will become firmly established above the top of the mountains, And it will be raised up above the hills, And to it all the nations will stream. And many peoples will go and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, To the house of the God of Jacob. He will instruct us about his ways, And we will walk in his paths.” For law will go out of Zion, And the word of Jehovah out of Jerusalem. He will render judgment among the nations And set matters straight respecting many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares And their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, Nor will they learn war anymore! Isaiah 2:2-4

The mountain of God means PURE WORSHIP, the hills means false religions, all the nations means people from different races.
They will come under one umbrella and start INSTRUCTING themselves with what they found in the WORD of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. What they found will help them settle all their racial disparities, they will divert all their resources into the production of food and information materials, they will no longer think of weapons nor military services again! Micah 4:1-3

You and i can see it happening in our own eyes as Jehovah's Witnesses have gone throughout the earth to gather obedient people under one umbrella and everything written in that prophecy is been fulfilled.
So my friend, what exactly do you think is missing in that book used to perfectly achieve this mission? smiley

Do you worry about some other ingredients as something to be added or subtracted from it's ingredients?
When these your questions are scrutinized using science now, you will run back to Bible, then return back to science. Back and forth grin grin grin

It's a shame, you did not even attempt to answered any of my questions.
But I would answer yours.

So my friend, what exactly do you think is missing in that book used to perfectly achieve this mission?
First this is a foolish question because you never know what you are missing if you nevery experienced it. If for example the book of Luke was missing, you would still not know you are missing anything.
Secondly, God has not yet given all his revelations to man. There are still many things we don't know so it's stupid to claim we have gotten enough from God already.
Thridly, if you have read any of these books, you would understand God's will better. With every book comes more light.
4th probably, your organization would understand God's will better and your doctrine would be much different.
Now to my questions
Why did you decide 66 were all you need?
Who made the decision to cast away all other writings?
How can you tell the other books are no inspired if you have not read them?

They are not the only books here.. I gave you examples of the Apocryphal and the Book of Mormon.
Again the only reason they are here is because someone with no qualification chose to destroy other inspired records.
How did you decide that only 66 books are inspired?
Or are you guys not allowed to ask or answer hard questions?

Don't get upset my friend, i thought you said you came here to catch some fun so why using abusive speech with provocation? smiley
If you ask someone a question or dozens of questions and you're not getting your desired response all an intellectual (who is catching some fun) would do is conclude that the one you're asking doesn't have the answers, and you're good to go!
But when you're asking questions and becoming abusive simply because you feel the person you're asking doesn't provide a desirable response do you still think you're "catching fun"? smiley

Well the book (Bible) was inspired by someone and the Author (GOD) has a purpose why He arranged for this documents to reach mankind so i used the illustration of a medicine to explain how people like me do reason, once the motive of the pharmacist is achieved in a perfect sense then we (Jehovah's Witnesses) believe that all the ingredients are complete.

We know that after Armageddon when all evildoers are gone, our God will reveal more secrets to help us reach perfection but for now He wants us to work on is the 66 in order to achieve what He said in the Bible book of Isaiah 2:2-4 and Micah 4:1-3 that's why His Son could say:
NO ADDITION NO SUBTRACTION! Revelations 22:18-19

Please let's try to maintain our calmness if you still want me to believe that you're not here to attack me but to "catch some fun" smiley

My friend, are you on a hot seat that you have to respond three consecutive times to just one post? smiley

Please relax and let's catch the fun together as you earlier said. You are "catching some fun" while i am marketing my religion, so there's no need to become tensed over fun nah! smiley

For your information, God's word warned us not to engage APOSTATES (ExJWs) because in within their hearts they're feeling tensed over what they're loosing but facially they pretend as if all is well. It's when we are chatting that the real person inside them becomes obvious.
So are you now one of those who feel like hurting your neighbour because of his faith?
Remember i came to your thread and left after noticing that you're not pleased with what i'm doing there. So if you now come for me i believe you've never find someone whose comments is as interesting as mine. Please let's try to be liberal with each other! smiley

If I have insulted you, I apologize but I don't know how I have insulted you.
You quote Revelations 22:18-19 but this does not suffice because most of these books were written even before revelations so they are not additions. Pauls letter to the Laodiceans for example.
Again Revelations 22:18-19 shows that those thar compiled the bible are guilty of removing books from the word of God.
So please try to attempt my questions. Or do you want me to ask them again so you can remember?
If you truly believe we shouldn't add or remove then why do you support the removal of books written by Apostles and Prophets, some of which were quoted by other Apostles and prophets?
Clearly, that is double standard.

From what I could glean from his response, those question of yours are no go area. grin grin.

He can pick and choose scriptures to support whatever mindset he has. Earlier he said ALL SCRIPTURES is INSPIRED of GOD using 2 Timothy 3:16,17. What is the meaning and the content of all scriptures to Paul of which he is referring to Timothy.

2 Timothy

When Was It Written? Paul's Second Epistle to Timothy was likely written sometime between A.D. 64 and 65

Revelation

WHEN was it WRITTEN
Almost all New Testament scholars now take the view that Revelation was written during the reign of Domitian, sometime around 95-96 CE.

So when Paul told Timothy that all scriptures is inspired of God was he talking about REVELATION that has not been written yet by JOHN?

Even when you reshape my question, you do not answer it.
1. You asked what is the evidence; but you gave no evidence.
2. Are you saying that the other writings of Apostles and prophets that are not in the bible are uninspired? Examples are, book of Samuel the seer (1 Chr. 29:29); book of Gad the seer (1 Chr. 29:29); book of Nathan the prophet (1 Chr. 29), an epistle of Paul to the Corinthians, earlier than our present 1 Corinthians (1 Cor. 5:9); possibly an earlier epistle to the Ephesians (Eph. 3:3); an epistle to the Church at Laodicea (Col. 4:16); and some prophecies of Enoch, known to Jude (Jude 1:14).
3. You claim to have an assurance that all you need is 66 books. The Bible never said so. So where did you get your assurance?
4. It wasn't God that gave us 66 books, it was those that compiled the bible long after the death of the Apostles. These were not men of God

That is to say the inspiration given to 66 books writer who equally made use and reference the apocrypha writings in and is ensuring that God's purpose is met

That is to say..... God made sure that they equally draw inspiration from uninspired books. grin grin

Moreover your attitude the exact opposite of what you said, you said you're here to catch some fun while i'm here to market my religion yet it's you that's catching fun that's using provocative speeches! huh

The inspired writers have played their part and those that compiled it have also played their part, evidently God's Holy Spirit monitored the whole process. There are people who wanted to add and some wanted to subtract but God's Holy Spirit rescued the 66 so that nothing affected the ones God wants mankind to use.
Remember Jesus promised that He will always be in the midst of those doing his father's work {Matthew 18:20} therefore Jesus used God's Holy Spirit to monitor the compilation of those 66 inspired writings! John 16:12-13

After the accurate compilation Jesus waited until 1914 when God ordered him to start ruling in heaven {Psalms 110:1 compare to Revelations 12:7-8} immediately the earth felt that some aliens have arrived on this planet {Revelations 12:9-12} that was the exact moment Jesus came in spirit to reorganize his group and ever since then millions have been flocking into Jesus' group while those who doesn't belong to Jesus but found themselves in his group either through birth or relations left Jesus' group! John 6:66

The year 2019 marked a century that Jesus' group started all over again what their first century Jewish brothers did back then and what is the result?
They have gathered people from all races and assembled them for the Kingdom of the Prince of Peace! Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3

So Faith is the assured expectations of what is hoped for the evident demonstration of realities even though everyone can't grasp it! Hebrews 11:1

With what Jehovah's Witnesses have used that 66 books to achieved within just a century all what individuals like me need is to find my way into that organization {Zechariah 8:23} anything else is STORY! STORY!! STORY!!!

The purpose for which God inspired those writers has been met! smiley

Jesus said:

By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Likewise, every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit. A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. Matthew 7:16-18

So the assurance is when things works out for the purpose for which the books were written! smiley
tctrills:
4. It wasn't God that gave us 66 books, it was those that compiled the bible long after the death of the Apostles. These were not men of God.
Jesus said "by their FRUITS you will know them" definitely God's Holy Spirit worked with those who compiled those 66 books that's why the Bible has produced a big and happy family of peace loving worshipers as God foretold! Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3 smiley

I did not call you stupid it was the question I called stupid.
So let me give you a lesson in history. let me teach you how the bible was compiled
The Old Testament books were written well before Jesus’ Incarnation, and all of the New Testament books were written by roughly the end of the first century A.D. But the Bible as a whole was not officially compiled until the late fourth century, illustrating that it was the Catholic Church who determined the canon—or list of books—of the Bible under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Indeed, the Bible is not a not a self-canonizing collection of books, as there is no table of contents included in any of the books.

Although the New Testament canon was not determined until the late 300s, books the Church deemed sacred were early on proclaimed at Mass, and read and preached about otherwise. Early Christian writings outnumbered the 27 books that would become the canon of the New Testament. The shepherds of the Church, by a process of spiritual discernment and investigation into the liturgical traditions of the Church, spread throughout the world, had to draw clear lines of distinction between books that are truly inspired by God and originated in the apostolic period, and those which only claimed to have these qualities.

The process culminated in 382 as the Council of Rome, which was convened under the leadership of Pope Damasus, promulgated the 73-book scriptural canon. The biblical canon was reaffirmed by the regional councils of Hippo (393) and Carthage (397), and then definitively reaffirmed by the ecumenical Council of Florence in 1442).
3 things here, If you claim the compilation was inspired. Then you should be a Catholic. they compiled the bible. Again how do you tell that the compilation was inspired?
finally, I have given you a list of other prophets' writings quoted in the bible. Doesn't that show you that they did a very bad job?

Now you are trying to confuse me but it wouldn't work. Every religion claims to be the right one so you have no evidence there. This your answer does not mean anything because any other Christian can give this same answer. The 66 books were not written or complied by your church and the are not unique to your church. So what is your point?

Now this is what i call STORY! STORY!! STORY!!!

Before you type first meditate on the point you are trying to emphasize:

God is not able to see to the compilation of the message He wants mankind to assimilate for them to be saved.

Or

God failed to monitor His inspired writings which was purposely authored to save mankind.

Or

Mankind must wait for God to come and readjust what is compiled for their salvation.

Please which of this three are you trying to say?

You're free to present your POINT if the three doesn't fittingly describe your write-up! smiley

You don't have any points here. because these very same points you have made can be used to support the Apocryphal. Because these were the very same people that added it. I mean the catholic church. So it's totally hypocritical to use that cheap argument if you do not accept the Apocryphal and the catholic church.
A catholic would ask you these very questions, in fact like one who does not accept the Catholic view, your questions show you are not sure where you stand.
Clearly, If the compilation was done under the authority of God, you should be a Catholic, and then your argument would have meaning.
Again if you feel God was in charge of the compilation, why do you feel he was not in charge of other books like the Book of Mormon and Apocryphal. Do you have a special reason

You agree with the compilation of the 66 books, you know it came from the Catholics yet you reject their other books. You said God would not allow his record to be wrongly complied yet you believe the Apocryphal. you depend on the Catholics for the word of God. You reject other books accepted by even bible writers.
You claim that the truth was lost until 1914 but somehow these people complied the bible in the 4th century.
You are not doing the best job as a marketer. I wish I can talk with your superior maybe they would have the answers you don't.

Now let me enlighten you!

First let's travel back to the first century when Jesus got baptized by John. Before this time two Jewish zealots have come claiming they are the Messiah but both of them died in the struggle and all their followers were forgotten {Act 5:36-37} these are the ones Jesus later referred to as thieves that came before him! John 10:8
So no doubt the nation has been expecting the Messiah (Christ) but what is the evidence that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah?

Note how Nathaniel debunked Jesus when his brother Philip first mentioned "Jesus of Nazareth" {John 1:45-46} surely Jesus needs to present his credentials as the true Messiah.

Even John the baptist was confused after his arrest expecting Jesus to come and deliver him from prison after all Jesus is the Messiah who will rule in righteousness {Isaiah 9:7} so he sent his disciples to ask if Jesus is the real Messiah {Matthew 11:2-3} did Jesus do what John was expecting? Naaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Jesus only told John's disciples to go back and tell John about the fulfilment of prophecies regarding the promised Messiah {Matthew 11:4-6} Note what Jesus used to end his response to John's question:

"Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me." Matthew 11:6 NIV

Jesus said this to warn John not to be stumbled due to wrong expectations the way most Jews were stumbled.

Now My Point!

Jehovah's Witnesses have presented their own group as the one and only organization having Jesus' backing and the fulfilment of Bible prophecy pointing to what God's people will be doing during the final part of the days {Isaiah 2:2-4; Micah 4:1-3} so if you truly appreciate God's inspired word instead of supporting the idea that it's incomplete why not ask for any other PERFORMING GROUP and let them present their achievements in harmony with the prophecy regarding the final part of the days? smiley

This was exactly the same thing you said the last time we had a lengthy conversation! smiley
You've been asking questions since but this time i just ask one question and here you failed to answer!

Well let me ask again but this time try not to be emotional instead go straight to what you want to emphasize with that lengthy epistle.

What exactly is your point?

God failed to monitor His own message which was authored to save mankind.

God missed some of his inspired writings while humans took charge if it's compilation.

God wants mankind to wait until he comes to reveal more info for the salvation of mankind.

Please you may present your own point if none of the three fittingly describe your write-up! smiley
