I really don't know your point. No one reads the bible to understand science and no one reads science to understand God. You keep conflicting everything. You seem to be one of those that went to bible school and feel they are qualified to speak on every topic

No he is a member of the religious group called Jehovah’s witnesses and being one means he has all the knowledge of the scripture from the only channel of communication between God and men today of whom are his religious leaders.

They don't believe you have anything worthwhile to pass across to them. RussellRutherfo made mention of it earlier. You don't teach them, they don't allow you to teach them rather they are meant to teach you even when what they are teaching you do not meet REALITY you only need to accept it as right teaching with no questions asked. grin grin grin

Reading what he wrote, he didn't switch over but only brought that as a point. It actually did because if not you & your brother won't still be on this thread pushing it to 8pages. One of your brother even called the OP "EWU" I guess you know the meaning.

Lastly, did I quote you before you reply my post?

I quoted you indirectly because i'm not arguing with you rather telling you why the thread changed into something else.
As for the person that called him "EWU" i think you supposed to ask him not me nah, after all it's not me! smiley

I was talking specifically about the faithless Greeks who used alcohol as medication even before the birth of Paul
Alcohol has been used for medication throughout the world so it's not Greeks that invented alcohol {Deuteronomy 14:26} so it's been in use before Greeks civilization! smiley

MY POINT

The Bible is not a science textbook but anytime it touches on science everything it says is 100% accurate.
You can prove me wrong by quoting a scripture that touches on science but is not accurate.

I'll be waiting for your response on this! wink

Now as Paul was saying these things in his defense, Festus said in a loud voice: “You are going out of your mind, Paul! Great learning is driving you out of your mind!” But Paul said: “I am not going out of my mind, Your Excellency Festus, but I am speaking words of truth and of a sound mind. For a fact, the king to whom I am speaking so freely well knows about these things; I am convinced that not one of these things escapes his notice, for none of this has been done in a corner. Do you, King A·gripʹpa, believe the Prophets? I know that you believe.” But A·gripʹpa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.” Act 2 6:24-28

When you listen to a real Christian you must feel the difference! smiley

Actually the Jews were among the backwards tribes of the Mediterranean. Unlike Egypt, Athens and Rome. The Jews ancient were a little people with no known contribution to science.
They were mostly a weak and defeated nation. You really need to read up history.
And it's very possible that 5he Jews knew so much about wine. That proves my point, Paul was given common medical advice to his brother not some inspired word.
Today, man has developed much better treatment for indigestion than wine. In modern medicine, we no longer depend on wine do you know why?
Because we can isolate the essential component's in wine and produce it synthetically and make it more potent. That is the power of modern medicine. AND THAT IS WHY I DON'T DEPEND ON THE BIBLE FOR MEDICAL ADVICE.

You are very wrong my man. The bible contains the word of God, it also contains quotes from satan Genesis 3:4, the words of good men, the words of evil men, the erotic writings of Solomon, and so on and so forth.

Yes, all scripture is inspired by God not all of the bible. The bible is a collection of books. I think you really need to be humble here. if you do not know the history of the bible I would teach you for free.
God inspired the prophets but the bible contains more than the prophets inspired writings. Songs of Solomon for example has zero gospel teach. It's just soft porn. I am not sure you want your 8 years kid reading it

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, well it's due to their faithlessness that drove them backward my friend, the most informed personality in the whole universe is God, and the Israelites were his chosen people. So had it been they were faithful to their God no nation on this planet can be as informed in any field like God's own people. Please try the research fast and let's see where the Bible failed in any subject, then we can talk about the nation that could be ahead of them if they were faithful to the true God!
Remember Job 26:7 and Isaiah 40:22
Then think of any nation that's accurately informed about those two aspects than God's own people! smiley
