I used to have this egbon panel beater whom I patronised to fix my car then when I first started driving. I noticed on 2 occasions after taking my car to the car wash that the back door wouldn't open from inside.
I took the car to him twice and he'd asked me to drop the car whilst he fixed it. Of course, I paid. On the 3rd occasion, another mechanic was there and he showed me that it was the child lock that the car wash guys were tampering with.
E pain me die and I felt so stupid. I never patronised that guy again. Was that small subterfuge worth it?

I was using my Samsung Galaxy Tab A two days ago when the battery hit zero and it went off. Due to the urgency of the task at hand, I hooked it up to its adapter and turned it back to continue.
Sadly the phone froze soon after it reached the homescreen and went off. It has refused to come on ever since.

Please what could be the fault?
I ask in the hope that one of you won't mind giving out some free advice in the spirit of Xmas. I need it so i don't get bilked when i go to computer village to fix it after this festive period

Maybe the battery is too low. Just connect it to the charger and leave it for like 2-3 hours.

you have time to repair. the last time I took a phone for fixing was 13 or 12 years ago.

I remember I used infinix for 2 years and 5 months till it almost shut down on its own,I didn't even bother to check it..... Going to a phone engineer to fix it is a waste of time and money. more fixing,more issues,more money.

My computer did the Same thing I tried my best to on it, it will on but the screen will not show, I have to pay 3500

You will need to change the phone battery but to open it yourself is the problem

The frozen might be software issue but find a way to open it

Boost the battery to know if it will on proper

You have to understand the following:
1. These technicians don't get work always
2. There's inflation in Nigeria. That 2k look at what will happen to it.
Palm oil (1 bottle) N800
Ugu N150
Maggi N50
Salt N100
Meat or fish N100. All these items none will last for more than a week in a family of five. The remaining is pocket money till another works comes and transport. You should even be dashing these daily income earners money. I know how much I spend on them.

Fixing of phone without care can cause problem between the engineer and his customer.Havent you heard how some engineer damage customer's phone in the process of getting it fixed.That is why they charge extra.In case a problem comes up.They will use part of the money to buy the part.

What are you talking about? This is something very simple, go to the settings and turn off the voice assistant.... How is that going to damage someone's phone. The settings takes less than 1 minutes.

I have no business with what the phone engineer charged the customer, in the eyes of Nigerians the phone engineer is right after all he's not running a charity organization and the Op is right to keep mum but Divine judgement cannot be applied using Nigerian street law of being smart, and because of that @ Op has the greater judgement.

He delivered a value. If the phone owner can solve the problem, he won't come over there. I have no problem with that. He didn't lie that he will go to Kafachan to go buy a phone part to use in fixing it.

That's knowledge for you. You pay for what you don't know or you pay for the time value. I advise upcoming guys who have a lot of time at their disposal to know how to use google/youtube. They can learn how to fix many things from there and that will save them a lot of money.
