I have lost many opportunities as get help because of such people.

Now, I am facing accommodation issues, battling health issues, struggling to feed,etc

Life doesn't make sense.

OK.

FRUIT CAKE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
Butter 250g
Sugar 175g
Egg 4 large
Flour 250g
Black treacle 1tsp
Golden syrup 1tbsp
Browning 1tbsp or(desired quantity)
Vanilla flavour 1tsp
Butter Scotch flavour 1/2tsp
Nutmeg 1/2 tsp
Soaked fruit 100g or desired quantity
Brandy 1/4cup (and enough for soaking dried fruits)
Baking powder 2 1/2tsp

PROCEDURE

First, you soak your mixed fruits( raisins, cherries
etc.) with brandy (just about enough to cover the fruits) overnight or days before.

1. Sieve your dry ingredients and set aside.

2. Cream your butter and sugar for a while, then add your golden syrup,black treacle and cream until double in volume and fluffy.

3. In a separate bowl, break in the eggs, add flavours and whisk.

4. Add in your egg mixture to your butter and sugar mixture, then cream a bit more.
Then add dry ingredients mix altogether.

5.Add your browning and mix.

6.Then sieve out the brandy from your soaked
mixed fruits, put them in a separate bowl, sprinkle some plain flour over it and mix before adding to the cake batter.

N.B. The flour you sprinkle here should be different from the 250g of flour you measured for the cake. This process prevent the fruits from settling at the bottom of the cake while baking.

7. Add brandy,then mix till it's well incorporated. (Sieved out brandy not included)

8. Grease your 8" or 9" pan with margarine and dust with plain flour.

9. Pour in your cake batter into your greased pan, spread out evenly with a spatula, tap gently to let out any bubbles, then bake at 180-200°c until a skewer comes out clean.
