Fuel economy is not that bad in other cars too. Except if the car has issues. Infact, recent cars are known to be more fuel economical then those 2004 Corollas. My brother recently bought a 2016 Benz C300. I took delivery of the car. Drove it from Lagos to Akure. I was shocked at how much fuel I bought. Very very economical.

Lol, that 2016 C300 go catch fire spontaneously, or turbo go blow, piston or cylinder go warp or break, then rods go throw all ending in overheating.

Bring a Toyota in the same vehicle class as a Mercedes Benz vehicle, and that Toyota will easily be more reliable than that Mercedes Benz. It's simply a fact.

You're very free to ascribe that reliability to Toyotas being boring cars, I wouldn't argue about that.

By the way, point out where I stated that "Toyota cars are the most reliable". You must have been hallucinating when you saw that. That, or your imagination playing tricks on you.

My post was specifically about that 2015 W205 C300 the person I quoted mentioned, which is known to have several significant quality control and other fundamental issues.

What is faster than you does not necessarily mean it will best you. A race is meaningless if there are no curves and corners. This is not Memphis race. Na naija. Honda is still very reluctant to let go of the v6 j30 engine design from the 1999 honda babyboy ,EOD,DC, Odyssey,ridgeline,Acura TL,the engine is so reliable a workhorse that it makes no sense to replace it with another unproven design but to just improve it,I use same j30 v6 engine in my DC and I have had timing belt adjuster failure twice when driving,now this hydraulic adjuster Is a #2k part that if it is in an interference engine that #2k part will damage the valves , pistons or even totally destroy the engine,but not in the Honda engine just change the adjuster and set the timing belt you are off,also that adjuster don't fail without giving advance warning,a rattling noise in the engine when idling,can last for months before it will snap off.i can't blame Honda for not even trying to change a proven reliable engine,for example the Peugeot 406 has not less than 6-7 different engine variations but the Honda Accord has only the k24 four cylinder and the j30v6
