Karleb: that development is difficult with colonists like pests/lions always looking to pounce on African countries.... but china and Russia has been helping Africa withstand such colonial forces.... Rwanda and Botswana are great African countries.... |

Are we Africans ready to watch the games? Will our TV stations show it? But if was to be a political convention or church/Mosque program it would be aired by all local stations |

Bruh, when afcon started in 1957, it was planned with the weather which was best in January/February devoid of rain. No one player was playing for European club then. Even if there were players in Europe then, it wasn't a consideration because it was suppose to be a competition by Africans and for Africans. European championship started later in 1958 and they choose June which is best suited for their weather also. So, where did caf go wrong choosing January? No let colonial mentality destroy ur sense of reasoning abeg. Afcon is even older than theirs Angelfrost: 1 Like 1 Share |

BigBashiru: Yeah, we can keep blaming the colonial masters. Are they responsible for the poverty in the north? Are they responsible for inflation in Nigeria? Are they the one sponsoring Terrorism and banditry in Nigeria? If they are, are they the one stopping us from combating these menaces? Are they the one responsible for looting of public funds? If they are, are they the one stopping our law from bringing looters to justice? See ehn, Africa is not ready to develop and its the reason develop societies will never respect us. 1 Like |

wagazala: Africa does not need to change the rules to suit Europe. Well before the mass migration to Europe for big pay, the AFCON existed. The clubs should adjust their calendar to suit the nations Cup. |

chloride6: It has been shifted to June/ July. Cameroon asked for January because of the high rainfall in June. Besides the Euros is not played in winter because of the snow and bad weather. The world cup has been moved to November to suit the weather of Qater. So why is Africa's adjustment to weather an issue? |
Re: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by DaveHarry(m): 10:13pm On Dec 30, 2021 |
I don't even like this AFCON holding when European leagues are still on. CAF should try and shift the period to Summer just like every other major tournament, so that AFCON can be regarded as one. Who like lose e best players wen he need dem most? Nobody! |
Re: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by Flango: 10:22pm On Dec 30, 2021 |
uunwanaobong3: Afcon has been moved to June/July. Cameroon asked for an exception because of the high rainfall in their country by that time. The same thing is happening to Qater for the world cup and everyone understands. So why if Africa's case different? |

Flango: I don't think this is true.. The EPL and other tournaments continue in winter... If AFCON was moved because of high rainfall then it's understandable because it's an exception not the rule. Exceptions should however occur with the expected frequency of the exceptions. There has to be a sustainable balance between needs of clubs and national teams. January is a high tempo month when pressure is required to sustain a league challenge... All in all its good. |

Karleb: OH SHUT UP WITH YOUR GARBAGE!!! INFERIORITY COMPLEX is your problem. PEOPLE SPIT ON YOU AND YOU SAY, ''OH IT IS OK, IT IS BECAUSE I AM POOR, SO NO PROBLEM.. Oh IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS CORRUPTION IN MY COUNTRY, SO NO PROBLEM, OH IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS TERRORISM.....''. etc etc. You have the mentality of a benighted SLAVE. But the slave trade is over. Wake up. Nobody has the right to treat you like a subhuman, or discriminate against you just because your country or continent is still in development. So instead of being a weakling meekly submitting to racism and white supremacy/neo nazi philosophies, stand up and be a man and insist on your RIGHT T0 EQUAL TREATMENT. |

Or refuse to employ you because of your skin colour. Or sing racist chants against you at the stadium. You deserve it, by YOUR own words! |

Karleb: SHUT UP, YOU DUNCE. Stalin slaughtered 10 million of his own people. Hitler slaughtered another 10 million, plus engaged in mass slaughter in which over 100 million Europeans died of starvation and war, just in the last century. Millions of whites, including children, were lined up and ordered at gunpoint to walk into gas chambers by their own leaders. Will any white man say, ''OH, because we did all these horrible things to ourselves, therefore we are inferior beings and other nations can look down on us and disrespect us''!!? No? But you are allowing them to disrespect YOU because of what? Some medical trip by your leader? Can't you see you are a complete dunce and a brainwashed fool programmed to self hate? |

Re: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by BigBashiru: 1:00am On Dec 31, 2021 |
Karleb:yes they are responsible for the poverty in the north... there is evidence that France and French troops trains jihadists and terrorists in Mali, niger and Chad etc who then infiltrate the north into Nigeria so yes they are responsible. Every country witnesses inflation. 2. inflation can also be caused by sanctions by the west (Germany, France, Uk) as in the case of Zimbabwe where the British and US thieves used sanctions to create hyper inflation. as for looting of public funds it also happens in Europe e.g. in Ukraine but I agree it's not an excuse. and I agree about bringing looters to justice.... |
Re: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by Karleb(m): 2:09am On Dec 31, 2021 |
BigBashiru: From the little I read about your claim in first paragraph, these countries claimed France, Germany et al trained terrorists while they (Germany et al) claimed they trained these countries soldiers to fend off terrorists group. Well, I don't completely trust these developed countries because of their antagonistic involvements in the midddle east. But you and I know that the reason we still have terrorists in this country is because Islam and our politicians supports it. No offense to my Muslim friends. Most northerners are Muslim and sadly uneducated and poor, making it really easy for these educated and influential political leaders to influence and deceive them. Most of these developed countries have experienced Islamic terrorism at one point and the reason why they are not battling with it for years is because there majority population are not illiterates and poor or Islamic extremists. Of course, inflation is everywhere but inflation rate in Nigeria, Zimbabwe and some other African countries are too damn high. You can blame sanctions all you want but know this, these giant nations also place trade sanctions on themselves from time to time. The main reason for inflation in African countries especially Nigeria is the fact we hardly export, we import literally everything. Imagine Nigeria, a 61 year old country post independence, an oil rich nation without a working refinery? The reason why Arab money is a thing is because they refine their oil! Looting of fund is everywhere but they are mostly met with severe punishment/jail term in developed countries but in Africa , it's the order of the day. A state governor would collect monthly allocation and refuse to pay state government workers for months, even years and nothing will happen. I'm sorry for the long post but charity begins at home. If we don't place a value on ourselves by making lives easier for ourselves at home then we shouldn't be angry if outsiders don't respect us or our nation's competition. |

Karleb: bro France regards the African Sahel as the territory because it is rich in mineral resources and they colonized it in the 1800s. 90% of jihadists and militias in Africa are sponsored and trained and motivated by the west which is why they only operate in Africa. how come there are no suicide bombers in uae, saudi and Iran and iraq? the west are the true terrorists though most ppl won't believe it! |
Re: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by Karleb(m): 2:27am On Dec 31, 2021 |
BigBashiru: Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. Most terrorism in Africa are in Islamized countries hence why I said terrorism is mostly prevalent in Islamic countries and societies. Take for example, in Nigeria our oil is from the south south but they are there killing themselves in the north because the environment favors it. I'm not in any way calling these giant nations saints and I mentioned it in my previous comment. |
