Please I’m curious about something: can someone accept two graduate admission offers, then maybe reject the less favourable offer later on? Does anyone know anything about that?

GREAT NEWS! USA Visa Interviews Waived Off For F1 Visa, H1B Visa and Others

Some US-Bound Students May Get Interview Waiver
THIS STORY IS FROM SEPTEMBER 17, 2021

The US department of state has announced that consular officers ‘may’ choose to waive the visa interview requirement for F, M, and academic J visa applicants. International students pursuing a degree course are issued an F-1 visa, whereas those undertaking a vocational course of study are issued an M-1 visa. J visas are issued to those on an exchange programme, including not just students but also professors, research scholars, short-term scholars and specialists.

However, this waiver would apply only if such applicants were earlier issued any type of visa and who were not refused such a visa (unless the refusal was overcome or waived) and who have no apparent ineligibility or potential ineligibility. “Thus, if a student now seeking to fly to the US had travelled earlier or a tourist visa, it would be possible for the interview to be waived,” explained a US-based attorney. The waiver also applies to first-time F, M and academic J visa applicants who are citizens of a country that participates in the ‘Visa Waiver Programme’ (VWP). However, India is not covered under this programme.

Applicants from non-VWP countries whose prior visa was issued when they were less than 14 years of age, may need to submit biometric fingerprints, but can still be approved for an interview waiver, according to a press release from the DOS. The release acknowledged the role played by international students and stressed that “international students are now and always have been among the DOS’ highest priorities.”

Ultimately, how this rolls out will depend on the local consulate offices in India. “We encourage applicants to check the website of the relevant US embassy or consulate to confirm the level of services currently offered and to find guidelines for applying for a visa without an interview,” the DOS release said.

Consulate offices in India, so far, have been granting interviews and processing student visas. While the pandemic related travel ban exists, students have been automatically granted a national interest waiver and have been allowed to travel.

Recently, the US mission in India had announced that its embassy and consulates approved more student visa applicants in 2021 than ever before. “Through these efforts, more than 55,000 students and exchange visitors are boarding planes to study in the US, and more students are being approved every day. The US mission looks forward to another great student season as it facilitates study for spring semester students over the coming few months,” it had said.

I had 1.82cgpa on scale of 5.0, with 325 GRE score, are there schools that consider such cgpa grade in respect to the gre score that I can apply to?

Have you tried the WES calculator? Do this to see where things will stand and with that, people on here might be able to give more advice.

and I need to ask, do they recognize Nigeria PGD certificate for MSc program in US

How did you do in the PGD? If you did well, you should be able to add it to your strength in your statement of purpose.

Please advise,
I hope to share my transcript on this forum.
Im going for interview for F2 visa by January with 3 kids. My husband is F1 and he left August 2021. But in 2016 I had applied for a Visit visa B1/B2 to attend a trade conference which was denied. No other application since then. I used my maiden name on the application then, even though I had gotten married since 2010.
How best can I answer a question asking why I did not indicate that I was married in my previous application?

I was delayed 4th Nov, and got married 10th Nov is it OK? Now will apply visa by April 2022..!
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Salsabil88: 11:47pm On Dec 30, 2021
What I mean by I'm now married is that from 4th Nov 2021 later on 10th Nov 2021 I got married. I'll get my marriage certificate incase, secondly if defer my admission till summer by April/May 2022 I'll apply for a new date.. How did you see? .
Salsabil88:
Hi guys I got denied under section 214b at Abuja embassy on Nov 4th.
Heres my transcript and I will be deferring my admission to properly restructure for new interview.
Vo: After greetings with the Mr Korean.
He asked me where I'm going to study.
Me: University of Findlay.
Vo: which course
Me: masters of science in environmental safety and health management.
Vo: I see you have funding how will you cover the deficit
Me: my uncle is gonna pay for me he works at yzx
VO: have you travel out of the country
Me: Yes.
He handed me the blue paper.

My observations are: I indicated that I'm single, & my last job was in Dubai which I recently quit because I have to come to Nigeria for visa. So this shows that I don't have strong ties in Nigeria like wife, job or investment.
Now in my next application for visa I want to indicate that I have married within the last 4 month, I have 7 siblings & my parents and I have a new job with my salary like $1400k & will change my sponsor to my father from my uncle or can I use a company as a sponsor with the agreement of deducting 30% from my salary after coming back? Kindly advise me thank you

Good day gurus,

Please, I would appreciate if you can give us the current applicants (Fall 2002) hints on the period we should expect invite for PhD interviews. I understand some applicants, especially domestic applicants are already getting invites in droves. I got to know this via Twitter. What was your experience? Should we be looking to January or February? Thank you.

[quote author=Svelte98 post=108945742] Hi, how long did it take for your I-20 to be processed and sent to you?[/quote

I sent proof of funds on 20th. They had gone on holidays, they resumed 27th. I sent a reminder, same day they enailed I-20.

However, they rejected something that was sent earlier, so, I had to look for something better.

Hope the information answers ur question

Make sure you build on your home tie, such as a credible job, land or house. Tie your responses around your home tie. What is important in F2 visa is
1. Funding
2. Home tie
3. Plans for your children

Keep this four things in mind, build on them and thank me latter.
