Nigerians are their own problems outside Nigeria.

They talk too much.

Smart ones who want to get ahead simply avoid fellow Nigerians.

Mr. Igwe's story does not and cannot hold one drop of water....

How did Danladi trace him to Lagos State of all places?

He recognised his voice from the phone?

They only burnt his farm but not kill him and fled away with bikes?

They burnt his generator and did not hurt him?

Most Nigerians lack logical reasoning else we would not be where we are as a family, individual and nation....

The Yoruba guy who supposedly fled the North could not go to any of the Western States but could flee to Canada...

They will make it more difficult to relocate this year...
It happens when lie is the centre piece of the story... if it was true event, it would be consistent and reasonable.
A lengthy read but worth reading.

Nigerians have to be careful and smart with the narrative cooked up for immigration. This a true story about a man that sought refugee status:

The man applied for refugee as a gay man running from prosecution from Nigerian government. This was during Jonathan’s regime. The Canadians accepted his refugee claim and he became a permanent resident.

Four years later, he applied to sponsor his wife and children into Canada to join him. Of course Canadian immigration picked this huge hole of crap in his application. How can you a gay man be married in a heterosexual relationship with 2 children? A man claiming gay now wants to sponsor his wife & children. You can’t make this stuff up

He should have just said...SHE IS MY SISTER...lol.

The chap couldn't keep his tale straight.

Modified

The guy should have said that the lady(his wife) is a lesbian, and they were forced by their families to marry each other, after swearing an oath before their local god because their local god punishes gay life with instant death, and that he is sponsoring her to get her out of the bad situation, because the brother of her father's brother's cousin is the high priest of the cult and he is threatening their life.

Okay, it doesn't sound true , even to me. grin

Nope

I beg where did your leaders come from? Are they from another country or planet?
Your leaders are a true representation of the people in the country. Your leadership is a microcosm of what you are.
Remove all the present leaders today and replace them with youths on NL, activists, and other ordinary Nigerians and I can guarantee you that it will be the same or even worse.
The fact of the matter is that the average Nigerian is greedy, selfish and have very little concern about their larger community, they care mostly about themselves.
Until you have a large part of your society who actually cares more about othere/community than themselves, you will continue to have the kind of leadership that you have now.
It's not rocket science, it's simple logic.

If they fail, don't reelect them, don't give them another chance hoping they will change. They will learn with time. Even crooks behave themselves when they know there is no forgiveness for failure. Strong institutions will go a long way to solve the problem, not just strong people. No matter how corrupt people are, there are things they don't play with, like family. If such priority is placed on our institutions so that everyone understands that they only get one chance, they will sit up

By March this year, it will be three years since Gbenga Akinkunmi began scrambling to be granted asylum in Canada, based on unsubstantiated claim that almost every non-state actor in Nigeria was after his life and those of his family members.

In court documents reviewed by PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Akinkunmi claimed he fled from his home in Plateau State, north-central Nigeria, while his wife and two children fled elsewhere after members of the terrorist Boko Haram sect came after him for challenging herders who encroached on his property. He claimed that before that incident, he had survived two earlier attacks from the herders.

In Warri where he claimed he initially fled to, he said he was again kidnapped by Niger Delta militants and that he only escaped after paying a part of the ransom the abductors demanded.

Mr Akinkunmi said he later fled to New York on March 11, 2018, using a valid U.S. visa. The next day, he entered Canada and made a refugee claim the next year before the Canadian Refugee Protection Division (RPD), claiming he narrowly escaped being killed by militias in Nigeria.

RIght, Boko, Herdsmen, and militants are after him all at the same time...

Plus, Plateau is not one of the areas where Boko is active....at all.

Prince Mctony Aire, 33, could also not convince authorities to grant him asylum in Canada. He had told a panel there that Islamic extremists and security forces in Nigeria were after him because he was bisexual. He claimed he was “detained, tortured and issued death threats” in Zaria, north-western Nigeria, before fleeing to Canada.

OH, them muzlems are out to get me,........no sorry, this story get k-leg too much.

Aminat, 19, accompanied by her mother, Agnes, and her father, Ademola Adeniji-Adele, entered Canada on August 30, 2015 on a student visa.

The following year her father, the son of the 20th Oba of Lagos and former commissioner for youth, sports and social development, died, leaving behind a treasure trove which included an estate but without a will.

Agnes and her daughter later sought asylum in Canada claiming that the administrator of Mr Adeniji-Adele’s estate insisted on not paying the family its due except Aminat returns to Nigeria, marries his friend’s son, denounces Christianity, and returns to Islam, court transcripts read.

Agnes claimed the executor paid for her trip to Canada to bring Aminat back to Nigeria, the documents showed. Instead, on June 7, 2017 Agnes took her son, Musediku, 17, with her to Canada and refused to return to Nigeria.

“The executor has ceased to fund Aminat’s education, and has cut off Agnes’ monthly allowance from her husband’s estate,” the asylum seekers told the court.

Erm, wut?

The demand for pepper is so high that any part of it hardly gets wasted.
There is a readily available market for it and the demand far outweighs the supply of the product.

That is the problem of an average Nigerian. We tend to abuse, saturate and make mockery every opportunity we get.

Open say, a recharge card vending business in a location in a small street, before you say, jack 100 of Nigerians would abandon every other Business they were into, and open the same business as your in that same location, before long, everywhere would saturated and that particular kind of business killed off.

I can bet, perhaps one person cheated through this means and succeeded in seeking asylum, he started calling other people back home to come and explore the same illegal route, and now the whole mess.

Yeye people! Canada Govt should jail them before repatriation.
of course people will want to invest their little money on what will bring profits since the government and private individuals don't want to build industries. What do you advise a fresh graduate with no job or connections to do?

There are agents in this business but they don't tell people the truth.
Canada has a serious backlog of refugees claims so it can take up to three years for your case to be heard and and two for appeals. In that time, the claimants are allowed to work so this agents use this as advert.
I helped person A ,B, C to Canada and they've been there for 3 years without telling them the true story.

This article said 66% are denied but the truth is closer to 80%. For those that get their cases approved, they cannot visit Nigeria again as the moment they do, their asylum claim with be invalidated.
