School Owners have lots of decisions to make.
As a school owner, will you employ a man with dreadlock as a teacher?

Re: As A School Owner, Will You Employ A Man With Dreadlock As A Teacher? by matrix199(m): 3:15am On Jan 06, 2022
Don't forget Jesus was a Nazareth(had dreads) and was not judged using his hair type. But then, our society has stereotyped dreadlocks as a sign or show of irresponsibility. We think low cut or bald portrays responsibility which is not necessarily true. 99% of criminals and terrorists paraded were not wearing dreadlocks but low cut. So, as a school owner, i'll give every applicant a fair treatment and later make them understand how the society sees things and how the way they see things may affect our business. A sensible dreadlock applicant would reason out my explanation.

If he has the ability for deep rooted conceptual thinking.

His hair is just a hair style.

I'll let him go because he fails the test of reasoning/I.Q, which is an evaluation on its own. Only a mad man cares not or less of people's opinions about him.

Natural dreadlock or artificial? If natural yes, artificial dreadlock won't apply for teaching job in the first place because they want to bam and they want to Jim with the big boys

What's this mentality about dreadlocks tho..?or should I call it a stereotype?
Are you judging by the looks of a person or what he has to offer?most persons are influenced by their pastors who says anyone who carries dreadlocks..earing and the rest is automatically useless..
It doesn't work that way...your looks doesn't determine who you are gonna be..

Jesus wore his type of hair and beards because it was acceptable where he lived and it was regarded as a sign of honor.

Remember when David sent men to meet a certain king, who ended up shaving off the men. What did David do? He told the men not to enter Israel till the grow back their hair.

In our society, you need to be very wealthy or be an elite member for your dreadlocks to pass as just a hairstyle.

For the average man out there, it's more likely to pass as a sign of irresponsibility.

Teachers fall into the latter category so it's a very dicey situation.

For me, I wouldn't prefer to consider it.

You actually exhibited low IQ by caring what people think.

Dread is just a hairstyle, and it's the school's job to break lame stereotypes such as this.

No I won't, wether natural or artificial. Am a teacher students are easily distracted, you might be teaching and the students will be admiring ur hair style u may think they are following. Next thing is for them to start copying your hairstyle . So NO
All these people quoting me should every profession have dress code and ethics. There kind of clothes and shoes you shouldn't wear as a teacher talk more of hair. Kids are easily distracted so as a good teacher you must eliminate all forms of distraction if the kids will learn.

No, I wouldn't want to lose some parents who may see it as offensive to please a teacher.Teaching also is a noble profession,if you want to carry dreadlocks, then look for job in a music industry or cele church and not in a school.....
