No one acted like that. When people try to break down qualities of a player, you guys see it as hyping. This is something I have never gotten. If someone says Iheanacho is a clinical finisher, another will say you are hyping Iheanacho.

I have not seen anyone hype Kelechi Nwakali. They just highlighted why the coach wants him in the team.

What are the qualities the coach likes in him and how well he has played lately.

Not our fault that osimhen and onuachu are both out jare

One of sadiq or Awoniyi Might just surprise us

Something in me want the Awoniyi+Nacho u17 syncing to be replicated in this AfCON.

I hope the Midfield combo is gotten right though. It seems to be the headache currently, and not even that Defence that can sleep for the likes of Madagascar.

Also, nobody wan mention Iwobi. I believe he will have a superb tournament. cool

Nwakali don get like 2000mentions from this thread alone. Na Revelation of Messi? shocked

Sorry, I do not mean it in a condescending way. Do not take offense my comrade. It is just a general term because of the advisory roles mothers play. Like, didn't your mother teach you how to mop, didn't your mother teach you how to be a gentleman? etc.

lol like knabry of Bayern Munich says otherwise

Gnabry played 18 games for Arsenal, he was 16 when he played his first game for Arsenal.

How many games did Nwakali play for Arsenal please ❓

Gnabry went on loan at WBA didn't make any progress and went to the less competitive Bundesliga to continue his development. That's after 4 seasons in the EPL.

He then played three seasons in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim and Werder developed himself and improved himself before moving to Bayern Munich in 2018.

He has had what we call progressive upwards developed in his football career over 10 years he only 26.

What has Nwakali been doing, running on the treadmill of football mediocrity for 7 years

Why can’t coaches just select players at their favorite and best position instead of trying to convert them? Ejuke best position is LW playmaker, why not just play him at that position.. sometimes, we try to over complicate things in this country
Better to play these players in their natural roles. That's what give free flow to the game but when you improvise and play them out of position, the engine of play becomes cranky and splutters at every turn.

It will shock us all of he's the most creative SE player after 3group games. I recall he being written off last Afcon but he and Ighalo braced up and bossed things.

Best of Luck to these eagles.

GK headache for Egypt. I'm suspecting Uzoho starting. Setpieces and defence organization is what may trump Maduka.

I do hope he have a great Tourney to at least get a very good team in Ligue 1 or EPL. Hin club mata don taya me.

Nwakali,, blahblahblah

Ndidi, blahblahblah

Onyeka, blahblahblah

Aribo, blahblahblah

Chuk Norris, blahblahblah

But nobody is talking about our porous defense.

All this hype and praise won't go anywhere. Nigeria have always been the best and favourite team in Afcon, except that we have not win more trophies. We will score goals, we will create chances. But can we defend the goals we score?

Can we come back after conceeding 1,2,3, goals?

Who is the motivator in the team? None presently.

Make we sufrey hype Nwakali until we see our first game and what the coach has cooked.

My hopes are high. But I ain't hyping no star that has refused to shine and sparkle over 5years. We have given him the platform. Let him redemn himself and prove many doubters wrong. No need for the hype abeg. He is a "potentially bright" fading star. He needs this Afcon. He nor deserve all the hype until he prove himself.

Full stop.

Finito.

Gracia's.

Before the day is over, I just want to say Thunder from Sango and Amadioha should fire that oponu shameless agbaya Ighalo

If he had just respected his old self and rejected the invitation, stayed retired, we would have had space to invite a proper striker. He could have even told us since that he would not be able to make it, yet, the best he could do was throw a silly tantrum at his club when they wouldn't release him. Shebi they could have replaced him since that time when we replaced Dennis, Osimhen and Balogun?

Thunder will also fire Gernot Rohr, because if that German vulcanizer had added Dessers name to the 40-man list, we would have had a ready replacement a long time ago.

But most of all, Thunder will Specifically Fire Odion Jude Ighalo for wasting space.

Don't forget that we ALWAYS tend to struggle to win in our group games, then expload at the quarter finals, and become overconfident (shabby sometimes) in the semis, hence leading to several flop just before the finals (many bronze medals says hi).

Make we chill first and analyze the general team. cool

Dude is not serious. It's very annoying.

Me? I would have packed my bags, damned the consequences, bid the club goodbye, head to Afcon, and play for my nation. A better club will come after the end of the season.

But the man nor wan come. Fxxk all those excuse of club holding him. Na nonsense. Them tie rope for him neck?

It is because if our players accomplices with their clubs that has made the NFF helpless to tackle the clubs with brute and force.

Looking at our woes from the positive angle, at least now, opponents may not know how to approach games with our forward line.

No Osimhen, no Dennis, no Ighalo, dem no even know who fit dey forward line. None of the potential CFs are known, so, now, they're as confused as we are.
Great point lol.. With little known but very dangerous strikers.

Everyone is screaming Nwakali but you know something is not right when no one has posted the highlight reel ( excepting U-17 or Athletico Madrid game). I keep asking what has he done lately.

U-17 highlights are no longer relevant. 0 goals and 0 assists over 20 games in completions in Spain Div 2 is not very confidence inspiring.

And yet again I still have memories of his abysmal performance at the U20s. The guy’s problem is lack of energy. I wish him well.

It is suspected that Jamilu Collins may av contracted the covid virus and d NFF is trying to manage the situation by not spilling the beans for now with the expectation that he would finally join up with the team in Cameroon....for now, he's in isolation, recovering.

Ebuehi is presently boarding a plane out of d city of Venice In Italy...to link up with d team tomorrow morning.

Aribo is the least technical of the three.
This is not a slander
I don't know what you guys define as technique. First touch is a technique, but there are other techniques.

I decided to see some Youtube videos of Aribo as you have suggested, to ascertain if i am really missing something. There are some positives to cull from his displays as always but he is not more spectacular than the people he is compared with.

As a central midfielder, your ability to understand tactics and make vital moves to stifle and counter the opponents is sine qua non. Only Ndidi trumps Nwakali in interpretation of tactics, even Frank Onyeka is ahead of Aribo in this area. I might argue with some great minds as to whether Ejuke is ahead of Aribo in tactical reading of the game, from my own assessment of their games, i think Ejuke is ( this is strictly a personal view ).

Can you explain why a skillful Aribo normally gets lost in games and his impact is hard to figure out. This is not just a coincidence His compatriots are better at understanding the game, and the opponents than him. Even though Gernot Rohr deserves the greater blame.

Concerning Nwakali, he is technically and tactically more astute than Aribo, and has more to contribute defensively. Being technically and tactically better makes him better at controlling a game than Aribo and therefore owns the CM spot.
Your opinion not Fact. As far as tactics is concerned you simply cannot tell which player has more understanding than the other because you are not privy to the specific tactical instructions these players have received from their coaches.
The information you have is mere tactical outline which is not sufficient for you to reach such definite positions as you have done.
