We have too many good wingers which is the core of our squad to waste it on a 3-5-2 formation.
I know ..the report of the poor goalscoring from the training made me opine such . BTW, apart from Simon, most of our wingers are inverted.
Anyway, they should give us good results.

If the coach stick by a wing play of Chukwueze and Ejuke, who do guys fancy to lead our attack
1. Iheanacho
2. Awoniyi
3. Umar
4. Olayinka

Umar would be perfect in that setup.

Up till now, Jamilu Collins hasn't arrive the camp. Something is wrong. We have only 26 players in camp. We're supposed to replace Jamilu with Akpoguma.
The NFF should tell us if he's gonna show up or not

The backroom staff of the super eagles is massive. That Dr Terry guy has 34 international coaching certificates.

He might be the brain behind our success in AFCON

Easy pick. Iheanacho.

And with an Aribo behind. Nwakali from deep and Ndidi sitting in front of the defence.

Yep. Easy pick is still Iheanacho. Umar & Awo are under considerations too, most especially Umar but will go with Nacho as 1st choice unless ofcos the coaches agree he should not lead the line alone.

We are not primarily talking about AFCON experience but international experience. Sadiq and Awoniyi don't have international experience and that is a big gamble. You don't gamble with your attack, although I don't blame the coach. No thanks to injury (Osimehn) and club politics (Ighalo)
But Eto'o had no international experience when he led Cameron's attack to cup victory at Afcon 2000.

Iheanacho is a mad man. A silly one... Hahahahahaha.

"Oya make una commot for my room. I will nod you... Onye ara" grin grin

Na only Ndidi laugh, smiles of Umar, Awaziem and Uzoho and Semi Ajayi coolly taking record of the whole thing from the other end that made us understand say this na acting if not ehn... Nacho actually made it look real ooo... lol

Even Onyekuru had to calm down small... lol

See Nacho big head. Lol grin

He spilled in training, how many times has he spilled in actual matches and compare it to the number of saves he's made. Nobody hates Maduka but he has not earned his starting spot. Maduka barely makes any one on one saves and thats what we're worried about.
Please which saves did he make? Uzoho has suddenly become good after Maduka took over.

I still don't understand why we are harping on international experience, Mbappe had no international tournament experience as well, when he helped France win the World Cup.

Nobody has justified why this international tournament experience is so important for forwards. They just want to bring up one more thing, no matter how baseless

From what I have seen so far from the training sessions and responses from the head coach, this is my expected formation.

We are going to play a high line possessive game and technique will play a huge role. Ball playing skills will play a big part too. Also long balls from deep will play a big part. So Awaziem and Ekong will work. Aina's offensive duty will play a part.

As much as I love this formation and selection, the attack won't work. Should Iheanacho play central forward in a 4-3-3 formation, he should be partnered with pacey inside forwards like Ahmed Musa who can feed off his creativity upfront. Like how Rodgers used Lookman to feed off Iheanacho against Liverpool or how Mane/Salah play off Firminho.

Playing Iheanacho, Chukwueze and Ejuke upfront will have them dribbling, passing the ball around without any them attacking space or being aggressive in the box.

May his GK sharpness at this Afcon be as sound as his switft hand move into Onyekuru's pocket.

I think Awoniyi is the best man to combine with our wingers because he would act as a foil that draws defenders and allowing space for the wingers to operate, Iheanacho would be the worst because he literally has no presence, Umar would have been good with his skills but he doesn't play as a target man, same with Olayinka

Yes you get it, this formation would have Iheanacho withdrawing into the False 9 space forcing Chukwueze and Ejuke to play as pseudo - strikers which is not their strength

I disagree. Chukwueze and Ejuke know how to attack spaces in behind as well. Iheanacho playing as a Central forward could see him drop a bit deeper if need into AM/SS decoy role and feed Chuks and Ejuke who are speed demons in their own rights aside their dribbling and wing-playmaking attributes.

We saw this with Osimhen-Chukwueze combo twice in the GWG vs Lesotho and Sierra Leone. Twice Osimhen dropped deep and fed Chuks on the turn and twice Chuks ran in behind and bagged.

People who speak of international experience knows nothing about football

If you don’t give a player the chance to play then we will have no single player with international experience because Na from somewhere person Dey start

Just as you said about mbappe

Busquets ,Pedro ,Piqué , none of these 3 players have international experience when they helped Spain to win the 2010 World Cup

Update on Jamilu Collins

- He's yet to arrive, he was missing in yesterday's training.

- No official statement.

- According to my source, Collins is having an issue with his club in Germany, the club doesn't want to release unless he sign contract extension. Collins is not ready to sign a contract extension in January. courtesy of Adepoju Tobi on twitter.

These have been my fear. we cannot bank on green horns to lead our attack in a major tournament. That is why I insisted on Iheanacho,Ighalo and Osimehn.
Emenike, ighalo were green horns and they scored 4,5 respectively in their first and only afcon appearances. You should be more concerned about the quality of the forward line rather than looking at their experience
