This is an exaggeration. I don't know why we bow to anything American. This man has no prior coaching experience to speak of. His real job was organizing a girl's U10 team in Texas.
Hopefully he turns out to be a good addition but from his CV, the hype you're giving him is unmerited.
I only quoted his resumé, 34 coaching certificates is something. Whether he lives up to the billing is up to him and the coaches.

Like I said, he 'might' (not will) the brain behind a good outing. To me, that's not a hype

Loooollll.... His Simon Bias is unbelievably strong but I understand why. Will keep it to myself grin
Afterall, you all here now know about Me and Osimhen although I try not to mix it in/with my analyses. I really really try.

But taking nothing away from Mowiz. He does get several news right, some ahead of time and this is thanks to his insider access to the Super Eagles and guys at the glasshouse et al.

His SE lineup predictions are truly not predictions. They are confirmed info from his inside source in the team.
Only on rare occasions, has he gotten it wrong but in all the last windows, he was never wrong.

But as much as he has some credibility having been proven right on some things, he has also been proven wrong on some others.
And again his Simon bias is so huge that my own "Osimhen bias" is a neonate compared to his with Simon.

But in all, A good guy. It is his style of journalism that can be quite funny. But hey, he's doing okay for himself. Kudos in all.

Any of Aina or Ebuehi can play back up.

Aina plays left back very well while Ebuehi have played the position for SE before so they can be drafted in.

Umar can still be said to have some experience. He played at the Olympics which is closest to senior international football.

TheSuperNerd:
Well, thing is in most of these lads' cases, they are international experience. Among Mbappe's 15 senior caps pre-WC2018 were about 6 WC Qualifiers caps. So you see.

In the end, quality should speak over the experience talk when focus is on the attack.

Yes ofcos. In a way. I mentioned that in one of my posts when explaining Zuchy's "Afcon Greenhorn" term.

TheSuperNerd:
Afcon greenhorns. Meaning they don't have Afcon experience. This would be their first tournament and either of them could have the responsibility of leading the lines in attack if Iheanacho is not considered.

Awoniyi's last big tournament experience for the GWG was at the U23 Afcon in 2015 and also at the U23 Afcon in 2019.

Sadiq's was at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Hope you understand.

Yes, they go way back but it is even beyond that. It goes way beyond that and I will respect the bond between him and Simon by not giving it a mention here.

Afterall I would let you know that Mowiz also know the likes of Sadiq Umar, Ejuke, Matthew Yakubu et al via Kaduna links. Yet he doesn't hype them as much as he does Simon. The why is what I choose to keep secret. wink
Courtesy demands it.

Senegal's anthem is on now. Time to go watch Chriskels' 2nd favorite francophone team after CIV. grin

I hope Serezo picks the right player to lead our attack.
Umar might not be able to lead that attack; his performance during the olympics speaks volume though it's been years.

Awoniyi would be preferable though he played second fiddle to Umar during the olympics.

TheSuperNerd:
A bit harsh Andy coz Zuchyblink actually makes a fair point if you look at things critically. I am not in agreement with him that the lads Awo and Sadiq cannot deliver because they are rookies but he is right to say we gamble on them.
I personally root for them despite their having 1 senior cap between them. Yes Awo and Sadiq have a combined senior cap of 1.

And I think this 1 senior cap thing is what informs Zuchy's stance.

Now on Mbappe, you see... Mbappe that we cite here had 15 senior caps before the Russia 2018 WC.

Pedri had at least 4 senior caps before Euros 2020.

Busquests had about 13 senior caps (including caps at FIFA Confed Cup 2009) before WC 2010.

Pique had about 16 senior caps (including FIFA Confed Cug games as well) before WC 2010.

Pedro also had 3 caps before WC 2010.

I could go on and on. Some senior international exposure was acquired by these lads as prodigies before being unleashed in a major tournament like the WC or Euros. And yes, I know if I dig deeper I will find a few exceptional cases.

But again, like I reinstate, Sadiq and Awo are two lads doing well, especially Awo tearing it up in one of the best 5 leagues on the planet. They are Strikers in form and Fine finishers and I believe they will deliver if chances come their way.

But from the side of caution, Zuchy has a point somewhat.

In all, we have no choice. It will be Sadiq, Awo or Iheanacho leading the lines. And they have my support BIG TIME. All can score goals as long as chances are created.

This is why it is our midfield setup that worries me more than anything else in our team at this Afcon.

Well all blame will still go to papi Rohr for not handing invites and subsequently using these guys to at least have that international experience, he was heavily reliant on osimhen and onuachu after ighalo retired.... A coach spoiled with array of inform strikers scattered all over he ignored them and over using 1 person...dat man ma scam abeg..
