Hello House,
I just got this 2012 Accord Tokunbo(150,000 miles) and i will like to know
- Should i use 5W-20 or 5w-30(Is there a particular brand)
- Water or coolant?
- How often to change the ATF
- What is the best way to increase ground clearance as it seems very low for our roads
Thanks so much.

Check that the recommended Engine Oil is not 0w 20. I would not advise on using 5w 30. Older Accords use 5w 20, so why use 5w 30 on a 2012 Accord?

About ground clearance, if your rim size is 16, try use 225/60/16. What you must never do is to alter the suspension set up of the Car. Please don't do it except you don't wanna enjoy the car.

Always use Coolant.

Please i want to change my Honda civic 2007 tyres to bigger size since the car is too down. I've even lifted it a little but i can't still climb bomb or drive in a rough road in peace. Car is still down. Please what size of tyre would you recommend for me.

Current size is 205/55/16R Thanks in anticipation
I use (195/65/15R) and car is moderately cleared from ground.

Car type 2006 honda accord v6
No error code

Problem encountered:

Despite changing my fuel pump recently, I experience difficult starting, I need to turn the ignition twice or thrice before it starts most times.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread in one way or the other.

My Honda Accord DC 2007 vibrates especially while on drive and the brake is pressed.

If I change the gear to neutral, the vibration stops.

If I remove my leg from the break and the vehicle moves freely, there is no vibration. Everything becomes normal.

Someone should please help profer solutions to this...

Thanks.

Check the brake disc.

It doesn't vibrate whenever I am on speed and press the brakes.

It happens only when I am in traffic and the brake is pressed....it vibrates whenever I show down very well like in a standstill traffic...

Thank you.

No.

When the gear is on park, it vibrates slightly.

When the gear is on drive and my leg is on the brake, it vibrates.

When I remove my leg and the vehicle rolls freely, vibration stops.

inspect your engine mounts, have someone in your car change the transmission from drive to reverse, while you stand infront of the engine to inspect any play on the side, front and back engine mounts. Also check ball joints too

Get your kazeem (local mechanic) and do a test

Jack up the front end of the car and ask your mechanic to start the car, use a small plank to hit the starter repeatedly as he starts the car.
If the car starts immediately then the starter is going bad thus replace the starter

thanks I doubt if this is the issue, when I turn on the ignition to start the car, the engine cranks unlike what you described above, its only when the engine doesn't crank when you turn on the ignition that you hit the starter in the engine

I suspect you're having a 'cold start'.
See a good electrician, tell him to check your thermostat fuse connection.

Good luck to you!

If your engine seatings are okay, then I suspect that you have one or two plug wires that are bad!

Ask your mechanic to check your plug wires.

Good luck to you!
