If you see a team that is tactically drilled, you'll know. Big ups to the technical team

Awoniyi should have buried that ball. In a match like this you have to take your chances

I can't BELIEVE my eyes but we are dominating Egypt we keep breaking up their play ,we are not allowing them to play their game.

And we have blocked of the supply route to Salah.

KC is having a lot of influence in the midfield with the HIGH PRESS.

Substitutions will be crucial you cannot keep this high tempo for 90 minutes , players will get tired . So who comes in is very important.

We have overcome technicality , with the high press , work rate, physicality, aggression. Sometimes playing a highly rated opponent brings out of the best in Nigeria.

Also I see more of the GIDIGBO spirit we no be Oyibo.

Thank you Eguavon for making us remember who WE ARE.

Awoniyi has been impressive, his movement is causing the Egyptian defence problem.

This is the most interesting match so far

Nigeria is playing so well despite the fire brigade approach we had prior starting the tourney

Kudos to the coach and lad

I foresee us as the first Team to score 2 goals without PKs

We have talked about this here severally. Good the coach got it right. Don't give the north Africans opportunity to play their game. Press them like bees and they go frustrate.

This is what we have been contributing here but they say na bitch we dey bitch.

So far so good, we look like we can score more goals.

Good game for now.

Matters arising.

Charles it seems we were wrong on Nacho. grin
Rohr was probably the problem. His formation wasn't bringing out the best out of the lads.
I like what I'm seeing with the Nacho - Awoniyi combo.
he is doing well same with the whole team. Ekong and Omeruo’s combo hv been impressive same as ndidi and aribo, Simon hv been the most creative spark in the team so far while chukwueze hv been quiet. Awoniyi hv been a handful for the Egyptian team and his understanding with iheanacho hv been difficult for the oppositions defense to handle

I am so impressed with what I hv seen so far

I hope so too. This game could easily have been 3:0 just this half.

Let's hope we get the desired second goal in the seocnd half. Because football is a game of two halves and i expect the Egyptians to come out gun-blazing in the second half.

Great really selfless running from Awoniyi, a battering ram of a man. Pray he gets a deserved goal in the 2nd half.

Kelz doing senior man tinz luvet!!

Backline disciplined and sharp.

Chukwueze needs to step up.

Overall love the intensity and high pressure running. So far a marked departure from the sluggishness of Rohr days.
