Good day to all.

Please, I need a reliable and durable solar street light that can provide 10 - 12hours continuous Lighting with good long life as I do not want to buy this in the next 4-5years. Durability is the main consideration, it should not fail prematurely and the light should be bright. Do anyone know the brand Lagos state is using along the Lekki corridor, seems reliable and strong.

Anyone with experience around the solar lighting or have used a particular product and its performance is satisfactory should kindly share the product and possibly the model number.

Finally upgraded to 24v and it has been wow. Runtime increased massively with my li-ion cells. Refrigerator has been on since morning. Will find a case for my batteries later.

Yeah, tbb 750w inverter, 120ah 24v li-ion, 500w panels for now, will upgrade before the month end. Looking for good used solar panels

Yeah, low frequency but low self consumption of about 10w

I've seen this TBB some time ago, the 4kw 48v size, stuff was just slightly bigger than this 750W, all with similar form factor. Pretty impressed by the performance of the 4kw.

or......and I know this may sound crazy......just buy a new laptop battery .

I took delivery of a new one today. I need a backup.

I think it'll eventually get messed up if you don't use it regularly so, not sure you really need one.

Use of a PWM is doing injustice to the lithium. The first time I replaced my LA pack with lithium, I noticed that the pre-existing PWM SCC has more challenges filling the storage. Heck, DC-DC buck converters fair much better with lithium than PWM CCs does. MPPT gives best results with fastest and highest rate of charge. You'll be happy that your lithium get satiated each day before sundown, of course that also depends on your array size. So I think you should plan an to upgrade to MPPT in the shortest possible time.

Yeah, bought the 1.6kva version for a customer, they use the same case but the difference is the weight as the 1.6kva weighs about 2kg more than the 0.8kva version

This doesn't hold true, as someone originally posted and rightly so, the advent of plastic casing has solved that.
If we were to look at conductive and non-conductive materials, the metal racks we all use to store our batteries is it conductive or not.... Lolz

Those are old myths that no longer hold grounds,the battery production and processing system has developed past this a long time ago. Cheers....

To allow for air flow all round the rectangular surfaces especially after the usual heat up during and after changing. So in no time ur battery cool faster. I have tested this severally especially during the days of trying to wake dead LA batteries.

Reason why metallic racks are in use to allow airflow.

Same reason airflow affect Solar installations.
Poor air flow, poor charging.
