TheSuperNerd:

Sunday Mba didn't inspire confidence either at Afcon 2013 but he shook the continent. Selah.

Amoo is young and already one of the very best players across the Scandinavian leagues. He is one to keep an eye on.

Aribo is also good to go if we play him there with a DLP (e.g. Nwakali or Alhassan) behind him in Central areas. Iwobi is a decent backup for AM.

@bolded... and is it just now you are realising the bolded? When I was crying out for a MF conductor as one way of solving our MF offensive deficiencies, did you not know I was trying to take the creative burden off our wingers?
This is why I have been analysing our Middle game more than any other department of the team. In here, on twitter and anywhere else.

Having CDMs, a DLP and a modern day Goal scoring #10 is a step closer now. But we still need a genuine AM-playmaker. That is what we lack now. This is why I hope any of Eze, Olise or Noni can be bagged with time or another spring up to fill that hole well, and also an Amoo to keep developing coz he has strong AM qualities.

Hopefully we get there. Let time do its work.

But remember the first line of this post. Yep, that guy didn't inspire confidence at all leading up to that tournament.

So time will tell... until then, enjoy this lad below at this Afcon coz he's not done showing you and I what he can do when giving proper licence to attack the box.

ok o, we wait

no wonder
Under rohr, Moses always plays defensive minded, I was shocked to see him make daring attacking runs against Egypt..

Is it good to allow players roam and do their thing or have a strict instructions to which they must adhere to?

Chaaaiiiiii.... Rohr was indeed the Virus plaguing this team.

This is why I coined the terms "BRDC" football on twitter and "Rohr Virus" in here after our 2-0 win over CAR in Cameroun. We won but it was glaring that until Rohr was sacked we would keep suffering.

Chriskels ooo... Food hv done. grin

I think it should be a bit of , in as much as you have a plan you want your players to stick to you should also allow them to express themselves

German Bingo. A Chriskels term on Rohr. Lol... where is Chriskels? I need to hear his voice on Simon's confession. grin

And not only Simon.

Jihday, not only Aina too.

I am certain the likes of Ndidi is also glad. Rohr brought Aribo into the team too but has limited the lad's talents all this while too. Aribo must be low-key glad. The rest will all be subtle about it too.

Outside the Afcon, Tosin Kehinde bagged a goal today for Randers FC in their 3-0 club friendly win over Hobro.

Good one lad.

In pic below, that's Tosin (#10) and Vincent Onovo (other dark dude).

Guinea's Midfield three of Naby Keita, Ilaix Kourouma Moriba and Amadou Diawara is a really sweet MF trio.

Moriba... 18.

Keita... 26.

Diawara... 24.

A fine mix of youth, experience, power, technical quality and workrate.

Senegal having a freekick at almost the same spot Mahrez used to punish us at the Last Afcon and they couldn't hurt Guinea with it. Honestly, that Mahrez FK Goal is not for everyone. Lol

If we win the AFCON, or even get to the semis, these FBs will rush to play for us.
Its the thing about success
Success is attractive
Besides we are now playing good football, that alone will skew some towards us
If the NFF get their acts right, we will be world class in no time

AFCON been very disappointing this year. Stats say this is the most boring in over 30 years.

After Klopp calling it a little tournament, and everyone saying it deserves respect, there has been a lot of coverage and attention on it.

But watching the start of this Senegal vs Guinea match with so many stars just shows how anticlimactic it has been.

Hope it awakens very soon.

If they had a left-footed player, they had a better chance because from that position he can go either side of the goalkeeper.

If we move Mahrez's freekick to the left of the 18-yard box, he would have struggled to beat both the wall and keeper.

Shey you guys saw this counter by Guinea and how the guy on the go squared for his team mate. It did not result into a goal but the unselfish play is commendable unlike our bros Ejuke who wants all the accolades for himself.

Junya Ito is who Onuachu wishes the likes of Chuks, Ejuke and even Simon can be in the Super Eagles in terms of crossing/putting the ball right into the box or in his path to goal.
Ito is a fantastic ball crosser and lovely winger. Pin point accuracy in the crossing game. Provided the most assists for Onuachu, followed by Theo Bongonda I think but Ito give am better gap.

Onuachu is so blessed to have Ito. Another guy that contributed to Onuachu's shine leading up to the 2021 calendar year is Joakim Maehle now at Atalanta. The Danish Dani Alves. Bad guy, he is.

Is it not Bongonda that was fighting Onuachu for pen grin

I love Ito's style. Proper, proper winger and the guy is actually a good finisher just very unselfish . I think every striker would want someone like him off their side.

Bye bye to Etebo. I doubt he can still break into the squad except an injury occurs to Ndidi or Onyeka

It has to do with zones and Positional play. If the ball gets to a particular offensive area, the defensive players will take a strict cover, while the winger or creative players can express themselves to get the ball into dangerous areas.

The players looked free but it is still under tactical guidance.
