He is not above the law, nobody is above the law.

He brought it on his arrogant self.

As a person who has zero interest in tennis, I agree wholeheartedly that Mr. Jockstrapitch is a truly delusional and arrogant little prick who IMAGINED himself to be above the law, only to collide with reality in Australia.

Refusing to be vaccinated, lying about the fact that he was previously sick with the covid virus, and finally pretending that he did not understand Australian immigration law, are all signs of a narcissistic pompous character afflicted with delusions of grandeur. Oh well, he will now be shown the door and booted out on the next available flight, back to Serbia where he is the one-eyed king of everything.

Re: Australian Open: Djokovic Loses Visa cancellation Appeal, Set To Be Deported by HisSexcellency(m): 8:43am On Jan 16, 2022
I believe the issue wasn't really about a player not taking the vaccine. But his status in the tournament and the implications of his decision not to be vaccinated on the fans yet to receive the jab.

He is world number1 tennis player, and might probably win the tournament if he competes.

Other players were fully vaccinated and if he without vaccination wins the tournament, this send a wrong message to the public that the vaccine is not necessary.

It was NOT the Australian govt that gave him the exemption, it was the organizers of the Open! Of course the organizers want him to play in the tournament

Some of you are just busy talking trash of him breaking the law and nobody is above the law while you failed to ask yourself if the law was fair and just. When it comes to your health, one should not make law for you because it is your health. Studies have shown that the vaccinated are more been hospitalized. You can't force people against their wish and call it a law. Where is now the right to freedom. All kinds of human rights taught are all but a scam.

If you don't want to take vaccine, then don't travel to Australia. The Australians aren't forcing you to take the vaccine, just don't go to their country with your unvaccinated ass. This is very simple.

Calm down. The non-vaccinated recovering covid victim is being booted out of Australia so he can go and infect his own country's people. This is a win-win outcome for all concerned. Nobody is above the law, including Mr. Jockstrapitch, who is now free to phuck off back to his own country where he can bask in his own self-adulation till hell freezes over.

Well, this is a sane clime.......

Where things stands....

NOW: Judges in Australia have dismissed Novak Djokovic's appeal against the cancellation of his visa.Djokovic is scheduled to play Monday night in the Australian Open, although it's unclear whether he will be able to compete.

Australia's immigration minister revoked the unvaccinated tennis star's visa for a second time Friday, saying his presence in the country could lead to an "increase in anti-vaccination sentiment" and even incite "civil unrest."Djokovic arrived in Melbourne nearly two weeks ago and promptly had his visa canceled for failing to show why he was medically exempt from having the Covid-19 vaccine
.

A quick look back at how we got here

The federal court is currently on a 30-minute break as both parties decide whether further court orders are necessary following the dismissal of Djokovic's challenge to his visa cancelation. Here's how this whole saga unfolded:

In November, Djokovic began preparations for the Australian Open, including receiving his Australian entry visa.Dec. 16: The player takes a PCR test which comes back positive later that day — but he later said in a statement he didn't receive the notification until.

Dec. 17, when he had already attended a tennis event.

Dec. 22: He tests negative for the virus.

Dec. 30: He receives a medical exemption from Tennis Australia allowing him to enter Australia without Covid vaccination or quarantine, on the grounds that he has just recovered from Covid.

Jan. 1-2: Djokovic is notified by the Australian government that he is cleared for quarantine-free arrival, and he receives a Border Travel Permit by the state government of Victoria, where Melbourne is located.

Jan. 5: He arrives in Melbourne just before midnight. As the hours cross into early morning the next day, his visa is canceled and he is placed into detention.

Jan. 10: At his visa hearing, the judge quashes the visa cancelation and orders Djokovic to be released.

Jan. 14: Immigration Minister Alex Hawke invokes his personal power to cancel Djokovic's visa a second time.

Jan. 15: Djokovic is placed back into detention as a preliminary hearing commences.

Jan. 16: The judge dismisses Djokovic's appeal, leaving his participation in the tournament in serious doubt.

Can he still appeal?

Legal options: Djokovic can still seek leave to appeal to Australia's top court, although time is running out for him to do so before the tournament begins, according to Abul Rizvi, a former deputy secretary with the immigration department.
"He may appeal for symbolic reasons but little else," said Rizvi, who added Djokovic would remain in detention until he departs.

Another visa: There's also the possibility Djokovic could get a bridging visa, which could allow him to play in the tournament while making arrangements to leave Australia, according to Maria Jockel, an immigration law specialist at BDO Australia.
And who ask you all these, Mr. Felix

Indeed.

There are all sorts of vaccination requirements for various diseases in all sorts of countries that are mandatory. It is nothing new.

Did Djokovic sneak into the country? The Australian Tennis Association first granted him an exemption or whatever, before his visa was additionally approved. Why the sudden volte-face when he's now in the country legitimately?
