"Nigga" is offensive. Negro is not. Some blacks enjoy it, others don't. Ma'am, that's what I meant. I understand your perspective.

Papi85 is the same person with the quoted moniker.

That is all well and good

The scenarios still are not same, and intent is also important. I did not call anybody nigga to be offensive, but calling someone ugly will always be offensive. It is not something open to different interpretations. It is what it is.

I do not keep up with who changed monikers, but thanks for the information.

You just won't credit this lad. grin

No one won more duels than him in the game or made more tackles or recorded a higher passing accuracy than him.

I think he also recorded the most recoveries (9).

He did very well abeg. Be honest Odenigbo.
In this Aribo/Nwakali debate I must say that you are objective. IDENNA's views are informed by his biases and this is what it does to him: he praises to the high heavens every little effort Nwakali makes and turns a blind eye to even the best effort Aribo makes.

We should be able to put our biases aside and objectively analyze players. Except on occasions when thesupernerd gives in to exaggerated expressions like monster machine and other flowery terms, he's for the most part quite objective.

Thank you

Nigga is a derogatory word from a white person

When black people use it, it is akin to saying "dude" or "guy", it is not derogatory and I certainly do not use it in a derogatory manner.

I thought safari and Nerd were really good buddies...gini melu ?

Ahhhh... Lol... Noooo... but that's the funny thing Odenigbo.

The truth is we did exchange numbers but we don't even talk that much and when we do, It is I who do the calling just to check on her. Our talks are almost always months apart. And she will admit I even checked in on her during the holidays while I was still away from this thread. I checked on Icon4s too. He can testify.

I make it a point of duty to just check on couple of people in my contacts either by calls or text or SM if I know you would see it eventually. I do this despite my schedules. I understand that you can rise to whatever position in life but people relationships are still the best currency in life.

I mean, She's a lady, I was only being a gentleman. I also sent her something for her birthday only because I am generous and love to make people happy. That's who I am. smiley

But you see her display of "wildness" and utter lack of decorum today all because she was not faring well in the Nwakali discourse and was being schooled from every analytical angle of the discussion with stats evidence and facts.... it is unsurprising because she doesn't like being proven wrong.
She didn't want to face facts so she resorted to ad-hominem attacks. Very sour.

I mean, she so stubbornly wanted to not admit that "okay I was wrong about the excessive backpasses" talk when saw the stats evidence. And it's not surprising to me because I know she does has a problem of cognitive dissonance at certain levels.

When one is fixed on a belief or view, one will do everything or anything to fight against what will contradict it no matter how valid that "contradictory" view is.

Well, thing is I don't regret being kind & cool to people like her even though I know they may suffer amnesia sometimes. Nice guys like us, get laughed at all the time but in the end, we always laugh best. Lol

Recall that this is not the first time she has gone off the rails on me in this thread. So it's cool Odenigbo. It's cool.

Let her keep making a fool of herself even joining hands with some fool she doesn't even know to make hilarious off-tangent jabs at my person.

It's the Internet man. You cannot avoid getting jumped on by folks here. All you can do is ignore them and let their foolishness reign supreme and when they are done entertaining the MOB. You just get on with business as usual.

Now it's ironic, I am tell you this because you also have to learn in relation to your rife with Charles. But it's okay, I will ignore that.

But I am telling you this with the mind that a few will read it just so they can understand that being nice to people doesn't guarantee anything. But be nice all the same because people will always be people. We overlook and we move on with life.

She knows she f**ked up but I will leave her to her conscience if she has one. If she has none, well, still not my problem. wink

And guess what Odenigbo, I have known her for longer than I have known Osimhen. Osimhen and I began our relationship back in 2019 on Christmas day when he sent me a follow on twitter.

I thought it was a mistake but he said it was intentional and that he's been keeping watch on me for a little while. He was at Lille then. And that was how we got talking.
I remember I even predicted a record transfer fee move for him and told him he just has to keep on working like he has never before.

You have no idea how happy I was seeing my own words come to pass. Man, in two yrs I've formed a great friendship with a guy I am yet to see face to face (that's due to how tight both our schedules are).
Even when the issue of racism fears came up during the time he was preparing to sign for Napoli, I had a strong talk with him. I even reminded him of Weah. So many things I said... he took it well and took that bold step to seal the deal.

So it's interesting that someone I have known for 2 yrs plus has seen us bond more than one I have known since 2015 in here (haven't met her face to face physivally though) who would not mind turning on an attack on my person all because you were not faring well logically in an analytical discourse.

Pride is a good thing when held well. But it becomes bad when handled wrongly.

So that's it. A summary. Hope someone out there learns something. grin wink

Let's move on.

It is not for nothing that Aribo plays in the first team ahead of Nwakali. Only bias will make anyone pick Nwakali ahead of Aribo yet I know Nwakali has his own bit to contribute but he's clearly not at par with Aribo and you know what? The technical crew knows this!

Beautiful that you bring this up. I wanted to add it to my Reply to Odenigbo just now.

Look, I still maintain what I said in response to Papi85. She is pretty. But on a personal level, I know her and her mouth is quite a weakness for her and she knows this. I feel having a relatively fine face but a poor tongue will inevitably yield Ugliness and prevent one's true beauty from shining through.

That is what I meant by my statement. So in case you are wondering... don't get twisted. I still stand against Charles' Comments against her. I don't like it . And never will.

EgusiShankly:

Interesting!!

I remember some days ago you tried to interfere and defend her from that other guy.

Now you doing it yourself cos of an argument?

But Idennaa takes it over the top.

So that is where you guys see the hypes but instead you pin it on us all and not just one person making those statements. See am?

Especially without context. Just praise upon praise

Nwakali will have over 2000+ mentions from this thread alone. Shuu.

He shouldn't be among top 5 most mentioned based on individual performance since tourney began. We even mention him more than Aribo that had back to back great games. This is why those of us that are on the other side are reacting that way. My own no reach hate sha. But abeg. On the Live match thread na Moses and Nacho dem mention pass.

We'll be fine. But let's guage it or increase the mention of actual and consistent performers abeg.

It actually was due to Nwakali yesterday. He brought the calm and the balance in the middle game. Even Ndidi looked reborn with Nwakali’s entrance.

Stating otherwise will be sounding highly untruthful.

In all, credits to the technical crew for making the change. It was needed.

Not surprised to hear this from you. Individuals usually don't see through their own bias.

Iwobi came to meet a new coach, Eguavoen. Now he will go back to his Everton to meet a new manager (Benitez sacked), by the time he's bak for WCQ, he'll see a new NT manager.

Thank you Learned one.

Like I say, I try. I'm human too. I do have my biases but I try as much as I can to give balanced analyses.

But you see this bolded.... grin

I will NEVER DROP IT. I practically coined it and use it every now and then on Victor in our convos only because I want to always remind him. Always put it in his face that he can be more than people want him to be. I want him to know his expectations for himself should always exceed the people's expectations for him.

So it's highly delibetate and it's borne from a place of Belief and Friendship. I madly believe in the Lad and he knows this strongly.

I have my own world. My own life. I have successes to my name that I don't have to mention but I still hold further higher ambitions and I am riding the waves to the very top. But you see... I am happy as well when I see our football lads also soar because I derive some good amount of Joy from seeing our national football team excel. This is all there is to it..... when they are happy and focused... then the reality of Nigerian football fulfilling potential draws nearer than ever.

Osimhen is a masterpiece key in this current Naija generation. There is purpose for our crossing paths.

So please, endure or tolerate more chants of Monster Machine and Osimhen The Lion in subsequent days, weeks and months to come.

This is why I said yesterday that he is not important enough for me to argue back and forth about.

The only names we should be talking about on this thread at this time, are either those that did very well, or those who were woeful.

He falls on neither spectrum, but when someone is a fave on this thread, they tend to be spoken about extensively, so, no qualms.
