E be like say Sierra Leone want to come and do a Zambia 2012 on us ooo, those guys are playing knock out stage football.
If Alg and CIV couldn't beat them, meeehnn I don't see who can beat them oo
maybe Nigeria, Cameroon, Morocco.... furthermore any team that will beat them should get ready for 120mins football and possibly penalty shootout...those guys look like a Semifinal material
them go collect if them meet us

Cote d' Ivoire are playing advance nonsense. They are the most lax team I have seen so far in this tournament. Every minute they are creating chances and exploiting spaces, but they are just so lazy and inefficient. No sense of urgency after moving into good positions, no desire to kill off games.

If we meet this Sierra Leone side, we will give them nothing less than 3. They are not a good side. It is almost like they are using jazz. You play so well against them, but once you come close to their penalty box you just forget your occupation as a footballer. Ivory Coast had at least ten different chances to kill this game, they wasted all. Same with Algeria.

Sierra Leone Vs Algeria 0-0 , Sierra Leone vs Ivory Coast 2-2. It is obvious they have a tactical coach couple with determined players. Great results against two heavyweight

They are not tactical anything. They just have a very good keeper, are extremely physical, and extremely lucky.

Nothing against her , but safari can be a little feisty sometimes. You both actually have something in common; you hate to be wrong...lol

I once called her Chimamanda Adichie! safari could be hot tempered , but the is also very intelligent.

Admittedly , I saw the initial post she made about on Nwakali after the match yesterday and thought it was not properly made. She literally wrote him of because she could pay closer attention....but I think she realized it and soft pedal so quickly....lmao.

Truth is, Eguavoen doesn't need to win the AFCON to be retained as Coach
We are generally playing well and we can see his tactical inputs
If we get to the semis, that might be enough to get him the job permanently

hahaha to hold Algeria to a goalless is lucky? To play Ivory Coast 1-2 until the gift of the century is also luck?

How else are we supposed to explain that Nwakali and onyeka are different players and one cannot do the other's job? Nwakali is playing ahead of onyeka because we needed someone to stabilize the midfield.
Eguavon is not Rohr that will play Ndidi and onyeka (both pure DMs) together against an inferior team.
In the current set up onyeka is not competing with Nwakali, his competition is Ndidi ! And Nwakali has no competition (at what he does) in this AFCON squad.
How else are we to explain this? TheSuperNerd and TheGoodjoe have explained this over and over again.
And I find it surprising that Komekn with all his supposed involvement in football at the highest level still find it difficult to understand the simple point: Frank the TANK Nwakali the Ferrari (maybe Aba made Ferrari at present but a Ferrari all the same) you don see where Dem replace Ferrari with Tank before? .... They serve different purposes my man.

It seems you are talking about another Onyeka because the one I know can play CM.

Abi, is it not the same Onyeka that dominated against Mancity?

Lied we were playing through the tight spaces and as a result got a free kick and a throw in that resulted to goals, right?

Through the same passes through the tight spaces we created goals that were either saved by the keeper or hit the goal post, na lie?

My man, you are the obvious liar here.

Eguavoen instructed the players to move forward and play through tight spaces which led to many goal scoring chances but you are here trying to give a different and false narrative to what actually happened.

Accusing and condemning the players for playing that way when it’s actually how the coach wanted them to play.

You better pass Eguavoen?

But it is very easy for you to believe Nwakali and Iwobi played to the same instruction of the same coach that instructed those players to push forward, huh? Double standard. grin

I knew this one was gonna return and reply this way.

Forgiveness, the point is simple. Very simple. Eguavoen had a plan to keep control of the middle game with a big lead at 3-0. Control was priority before adding to the scoreline. But I need not repeat myself on this.

Besides, what took you so long? Ushering work Sunday? Or na you preach today? grin

Oya go rest you hear. I can see you had a very busy day at the pulpit. Take care man grin

Let just keep the momentum going, let not get too confident. Lots of teams are feelings the heat. Fatigue is setting in. Let hope we keep the results going.
