Hello People,

Please I have a friend that just put to bed in the hinterlands of Scotland. I want to buy good pap for her. Does anyone know a good plug in this UK I can buy from?

Thank you.

I got these from Adesfoods in Salford, Manchester. They do deliveries as well. I can confirm it tastes exactly the same as the one our granny made us every Sunday morning with akara back in the eighties. grin

but black people don't even rate their fellow black people and some people come here to talk BS about Nigerians not helping their fellow Nigerians.

For some of you here, the only place you get valuable information is only on Nairaland because the Nigerian/African leaving next door doesn't even rates you. Yet you'll see of them acting like someone owes them a response. We need to stop preventing other people from getting help PLEASE, because some of the attitudes we portray discourages people from providing help.

When I read the post about someone looking for free accommodation for a month or where to borrow loan before travelling, I just laughed because if after one month things does not go as he expects and he does not leave willingly, na him go still come nairaland to create new topic "a fellow Nigerian in UK forced me out of his house" and then paint the story in his favour.

Later we will start comparing with indians. If na indian person you borrow that money, story for no enter.

Let us not create enemies for ourselves abeg.

But this story itself discourages me from providing help. sad

Do you really believe the agent will reimbursed one naira. And Why didn't she mention from begining that this was the plan with an agent so that you can decide if you want to part with 2k or not ...... it stories like this and the outcome that causes the not rating well

She knows that if she mention what she wants to do with the money, she won't get it.

I learnt long ago not to borrow money that I cannot let go because many of my friends were converting themselves to enemies. I rather not give you the money and remain friends with you than give you and lose both you and the money

Regarding the loan, where I come from the saying has it that a) you never loan money you can't afford to lose, and b) when you loan a friend money, factor in that you are likely going to lose both friend and money. This doesn't have anything to do with Nigerians, I definitely don't think Nigerians are any less helpful to friends and family than any other country as people like to state, its simply that the extended family system has broken down, so the circle of "family" is now narrower than it was in our parents' generation.
Sense wee not kee you grin

Know this and know peace.

Thanks a bunch I will do more practice on my interviews to be more confident.

mdeeokoye:

Can’t say if we applied a trick per say. We just did lots of practice and tried to validate responses.
Accenture’s second level interview was more around picking a topic amongst a list of selected topics and then talking about it. She picked AI, she specifically picked up deep learning use cases I think. Talked about similar class room projects about it and her experience in it using python. Then there was the behavioural now because it’s a graduate role she tried to answer them based on class room activities and did not really talk much about her previous experience in financial related stuffs she had done on Nigeria because at that graduate level they don’t expect that much because they intend to train you I believe.
Also we did lots of practice as I wanted to hear how she sounds over the questions to ensure she was confident and all.
Her final interview was with a technical /lead person in the firm I think. Same kinda process like the first. I know it’s competitive
All the best and good luck in your next interviews

Another thing you could do... Just like someone mentioned above is ask for feedback on how the interview went/areas you could improve on. If they ask why, you could say to reflect on it and to help you in future interviews.

The feedback culture is well taught moreso in healthcare jobs. It helps folks learn continually just like a self-maintaining circle

Thank you. I just started that.

Below are healthcare Support jobs that have indicated work sponsorship on their job postings. The last 2 jobs are bank jobs and not up for sponsorship though they place you in a better opportunity for permanent, sponsored jobs in that area.

Please what does "bank job" mean. I have looked at the JD and couldn't find any clue as to what that means.

Hi guys,
My husband works in another city and takes the train to work and he spends alot on that cos taking the bus is almost the same amount. We have tried to get a digital railcard but didn't see any one for his 30+ age category. Is there any other way to get a discount on train fare?

You can get the National railcard which is £30 annually. You don’t get discounts if you are travelling during peak periods. The only way to get around it is if , your husband can come to some kind of agreement with his employer and start his travel after 9.30am. Also if his job allows him to work from home then he can maybe travel in 2 days instead of 5 days. If you don’t ask you don’t get.

Bank means temporary staff ... so not permanent and called when there is available shift or work...... it can be a way to gain experience or use leg enter.

In that job it is listed as in bold stating they only call when needed. So definitely not a permanent staff with guaranteed 37.5 hours

Contract: Bank

[Hours Flexible working - 0 hours per week (As and When Required) job

I have a question. If an employer decides to sponsor you to the UK by giving u a COS and Tier 2 Visa.

What now happens when u decide to maybe study a course in the University in UK after some months.

Will you have to switch back to Students Visa where u only work 20hrs per week while u study or u just continue on the Tier 2 Visa where u can work unlimited?

Thank you.

You can’t, you have to wait until they email you an appointment date but that can take months.

If you have the money go for fast track, you don’t need appointment for that.

@justwise, please what’s the process for the fast track? Do i fill the form on their website and then do a walk-in?
