Please is Curtins University Western Australia an AL1 school??

Would have responded earlier but the auto-spam bot keeps banning me temporarily for no reason. Hope the admin can fix this, else, one more unnecessary ban and i am out of here. Just here to help people in need with my extensive experience.

To answer your question, yes Curtin University is an AL1 School.

Is there a WhatsApp group for Perth students or prospective ones

Waiting for my visa to Perth Australia for my masters. Expecting my grant soon, hopefully this week by the grace of God. How do I reach you?. Email or WhatsApp
Raymum:
A long time ago, someone asked a question here about bring a child/ren to Aussie on student visa with spouse unaccompanied and I provide my opinion based on my experience. I have received several other emails on the matter as well.

Fast-forward, I completed my Masters in UWA last month, Chairman is only weeks away to be here, son is already speaking with his nose, correcting my proudly naija accent and reading my Uni material while in Pre-Primary- I am super-proud of myself.

God planted some wonderful people in my paths that improved my situations and survival and I promised myself that I will pay the favour forward in any little way I can. Therefore, I have decided to pick three people coming to Perth from the Airport to their accommodation within Perth. If anyone is coming to Perth in last three Fridays of February, send me an email and confirm your arrival time.

I have also read several enquiry on GTE, Sponsor, Adding Spouse to application etc., and I would like to address these in brief:
1. GTE: when tou write your GTE statement, sit back and ask yourself whether your explanations are logical, smoothly linked, and whether if you are the visa officer you will make sense of the evidence before you. For example: if you say that your maternal uncle is your sponsor and I'm the visa officer, I wud expect more than the sponsor's heavy bank statement and proof of relationship. I wud like to see that he paid your first tuition to convince me. This may not be the standard but it's very logical

2. Adding Spouse: Unless you are very fortunate, you wud be sitting on a very long thing waiting for your spouse (Subsequent entrant ) student visa. My suggestion (after my almost two year of rugged wait) is to add spouse and provide a solid GTE and leave the universe to align things...

NOTE on GTE: when you write your GTE provide evidence to support your claims and 'don't go and be writing Australian Education is the best and quality standard' compare to naija' What about Canada, USA or UK that offer similar standard at less expensive price? Tell them why you prefer Aussie and not Canny, UK, etc.
For example, if you have ties (relative and friends in Aussie), be pratical and say my brother is in Australia and this will help be settle faster for my study, blab blah blah

Explore your unique situation, research on the good qualities of the city where your prospective Uni is and pick some points to 'decorate your GTE statements after the key issues are adressed

Thanks a lot for your response. Please which universities would you recommend for this pathway to masters that's not in the city and can accept 3 years bachelor's degree? I checked most diploma programmes and they are pathway to second year of bachelors programme and not msc. Deakin that has 4 months pre masters programme is a pathway to some selected courses. My BSC is in computer science

Also, is second BSC acceptable or it affects visa approval? Or do I just forget about bringing up my first BSC and go for a fresh BSC. Age is 26

Migrating as a medical doctor isn't straightforward unless you are licence and practising in the UK.

It depends on your degree and duration, if the duration of your course is 3years forget about it unless you will opt for post graduate certificate/diploma degree with pathway to Master which those schools may not be offering.
RMIT, Monash and a campus of Deakin are in Metropolitan Melbourne, schooling there won't give you any advantage toward PR other than just 5points for Australian degree, not even now that Victoria is ever changing its requirements for nomination.

Honestly, I can't categorically tell you which school to opt for as your case is a bit tricky and moreover most schools won't accept application directly from you, engage the services of a reputable educational agent probably BCIE or PFL. They can secure a package program for you or alternatively start from year 2.
PS: Back in 2018, I met someone that have a 3years degree from Malaysia, the person start from year 2 but submitted enough documents to satisfy GTE and was in your age bracket.

You are indeed a superwoman. Weldon. Your piece's honest points as presented here would have helped many of us awaiting grants or just applying to school, or developing our SOPs.

Please House help me
I got a Turkish flight from ABUJA TO SYD but the route is abuja to singapore then to sydney.
The flight agent told me that i need a transit visa in singapore before I can purchase this ticket.
I am just stuck at this point coz this the most affordable ticket i have gotten for the travel date.
Please House advice me

I have a similar issue but the fact remains that Turkish airline will not refund ur money. What i will advise is that u reroute and pass through Malaysia because Singapore is closed to Turkey for now. For others yet to book ticket, if u can afford it try and book the airline with just 1 stop only
Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by tunlex01(m): 2:17pm On Jan 18, 2022
With all the uncertainties around the globe, I'd advise you book your flights directly with the airline and not through agency. It may be costlier but it saves you the stress.

Hello everyone, Please anyone here with admission to University of Tasmania. I'm looking to ask a few questions please. I just gained admission there and I want to know if there is a community of Nigerians there that one can join and probably get some network before departing for Hobart please

NB1912:

To correct the highlighted statement, University of Tasmania is no longer an AL1 School. You will need to provide the documents stated above during visa application. You can verify using the link below;

Thanks a lot for this. Got in touch with both mentioned here. BCIE said they could get me a pre masters program that comes together with a master's programme where I do 1 year extra BSC and move to masters. They said it may not be an AL1 University tho.

PFL said I should rather try UK, that my chances for getting visa after admission may be slim

A different agent said since I've gotten Lithuanian and Canadian denials, that I shouldn't try another country again to reduce number of countries that have given me denials. That I should retry Lithuania which is the most recent denial I got.

It's quite messy here deciding on which one to follow.

Go with BCIE, there are heaps of people here with 2 to 3 US and Canada denials just that it may cost you extra $$ than average others and your GTE must be very tight with enough backup documents.

Not the best way to respond to an offer, be polite bro. Not many people would offer the help that Raymum is offering.

Good point bro. To be honest, I would avoid any unnecessary stopover in this time of COVID. The safest option available, in my opinion, is Qatar airways with a stopover in Doha, Qatar.
