Yesterday, I returned to my room to find a rat dead in the middle of it. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be bothered. But this rat has clearly been bitten (pictures will be displayed below). I called a neighbour and we examined it. We were arguing if a snake could have done it, and if yes, why it didn't swallow it. In any case, we decided to leave it where it was to see if whatever killed it would return for it. I went to sleep at a friend's.

We returned this morning to find the dead rat gone. So, I called others to join me and we ransacked every nook and cranny of the room. We couldn't find anything threatening. But we did find another rat killed in much the same manner as the first (second picture).

It irks that I can't find what did this. I can't sleep in the room as it is. So please, experts in the house, help me to identify what it could be and what can be done.

If you have chairs in your living room check under it, snakes can hide there and live there for months without you knowing, What killed the rat actually chased it from a hide out and killed it where you saw it, when it noticed a movement, it then ran back to hide and then came back to swallow it when the coast is clear.

Cats are the prime suspect here. Snakes are not on my suspect list. They don't leave bite-chew marks on animals.
My advice is for you to bait whatever is doing this with a trap

Set a camera in ur room ,get 2 live rats and lock Dem up in ur room ,u'll definitely see wats been brutalizing d rats

Snakes can't bite off a chunk of flesh like say cats or dogs. This might be as a result of attack from bigger rats.

Get a big memory card like 64gb. Put it into your phone. Get a big power bank. Charge it full. Charge your phone full.
Now set your phone video recording to save to memory card. Connect your power bank to your phone. Set it in a location that can see almost or all angle in the room. Leave the room and check the recording the next day.

why the bare floor, cover all the wholes and open places in your room and stop being to expose. Next time take your issues to the chair and think deep over it before exposing yourself boy. And get that your room fix get it okay
