Another ponzi gone bad.

People would start business, they won't even allow the business to grow or start making profits, they'll start buying houses and living lavishly ontop investor's funds.

It is this sort of Criminals. those who destroy the TRUST in our Society and drive away investment opportunities for Genuine Businessmen, that the EFCC, SFU, DSS and SEC need to dedicate more Resources on.

I hope the New, young and Virile EFCC Boss , Bawa, will do something about this Scammer and that one of SGL farms, Mr. SEUN ADEGOKE.
He has over #5Billion of Investor funds in his pocket and he is on the Run.

My banker friend invested N45million in cassava farming because he was promised of ready buyers or exporters at good price. As am talking to you that investment is the worst he has made in his life. He is paying huge bank loans with high interest for a failed investment

Farming is risky. It's far better to just buy the farm products add a markup and resell or store it for 3 to 5 months and resell.

No bank will give you a loan of 100 mil without getting it's valuers involved. The will never rely on just any valuation.
Nigerian banks are not as daft as people think.

Don't mind that sweet tongued guy giving them fabu. It's only a mumu bank in his imagination that will give out N100m on valuations done by roadside valuers.

Guyman02:
People continue to fall for this easy scam.
What they do is to acquire a single farm land, plant rice or corn or fish and poultry worth for example N10m, they show their mumu subscribers this one farm and tell them that they have something similar in Kafanchan, Kebbi, Shiroro etc with beautiful pictures in their website and brochures.
They will use this single farm valued at N10M to get N500M from 'investors' who will be paid huge interest by Ponzi scheme from the monies of the new entrants until the bubble will burst when the Ponzi reaches its peak.
The farm will quickly be sold to a buyer with all the documents and everyone disappears only to return with a new name in another location but if the money fleeced is huge they relocate to abroad with their families.

There's a woman called Famzi in Abuja who ran the same scheme, people trusted her so much because of her packaging of constantly wearing hijab and presenting herself as pious Muslim and she raised up to N2B.
Brekete radio owner Ahmed Isah has been trying to help people recover their capital investment for the past 2 years but whosai!

How can you say 30% of stake in agric in 7 months isn't possible. If you invest 2m on cucumber in 7 months. You will make double of that money in yields if everything goes well. 30% interest in 7 months is obtainable and achievable

There is nothing like investors funds here.

The only entities empowered by government to take deposits are COMMERCIAL BANKS and some INSURANCE COMPANIES.

Nigerians are grossly illiterate, evident in the kind of choices they make during elections.

Any short-term investment that offers or promises double digit ROI is most likely a scam. Make it a rule of thumb and sleep better at night.

they tell the banks they're using the land for farming so that's how they'll pay the banks. They will set up a farm on that land and involve an insurance company and try to ensure the farm works for sometime. After sometime, they claim bird's died in droves or pest affected the crops and collect money from insurance company to pay banks.

This is the exact attitude that has led to one bad government after the other.
People go out to vote then sit back and 'hope'.....that the liars in government will come good.... so daft.
Their contemporaries abroad will vote and remain on the streets till their democratic dividends are paid in full.
There is no free lunch in the world and you can only get value with diligence no matter what name the business or enterprise is called.

Oga, why he is saying that is the simple fact of what a wise man calls RISK.
Risk assessment in agriculture in this part of the world is stratospheric.
Climate change, insecurity, turbulent economy, etc makes the realization of a fixed profit margin highly unlikely.
The problem with most of these rudimentary feasibility studies is the total absence of a proper RISK ASSESSMENT.
Do that and you will arrive at a more realistic figure.

No serious bank in Nigeria will give you a loan based on a bogus valuation.

They will always conduct their own valuation with a valuer appointed by them

"If everything goes well" is an adverbial clause of assumption.

If you have ever engaged in farming beyond a small garden, you will never assume everything will go well.

I am talking from experience. Forget whatever anyone must have told you about cucumber.

I always advice people to leave farming for farmers. There are farmers and there are farming investors.
