lol... With my first pregnancy in Nigeria, i missed almost all my antenatal appointments bcs d doctors r rude n dnt even say much dan ask with rudeness ooo *YES!!! I only go c d doctor wen i ve a complain, d consultation fee sef put me off bigtime but i did scan scans lik crazy lol just to c baby... But 4 here i only attend my appointment cs in their appointment letter dey threaten to conceal my antenatal registration with d hospital if i miss any appointment dt dey c it as waste of government funds n waste of midwife time not coming for appointment so i had no choice dan to go.

imagine... Dey dont even check ur urine for infectn smh.... As 4 d anemia n glucose checkup, just go to one lab or health centre ursef n do dt.. No dey que up 4 hospital... It was wat i did ooo... N if anythin is amiss, take d result to ur doc... Dt bp n urine checkup was y i even decide to go once in a while sef

I asked because apart from the day I registered that I conducted all tests, subsequent checks has been weight and BP and when I get to c the doctor, he asks if I have any complaints which I don't have mostly and asks If I have my routine drugs and measures my tommy. That's aside the days I took TT

I tell you oo, plugging the pump to the breast always get me thinking. Maybe that's why many mums buy manual as naija light no steady (fluctuations up and down) . If the thing has battery it will be very good ooo

Are those things listed up supposed to be Checked at every appointment? I'm 24+.

You can connect the usb to any power source…direct or power bank or laptop…manual is cheaper that’s why but it’s manual labour

I used to wonder too, but no you are not connected to the machine/device in anyway, it is simply the rubber hose that suctions/vaccums that is connected to the device on one end, then the other end is connected to the top of the bottle which carries the suction force to the boobs. The device is then plugged to power so you have no contact with the electricity at all.

My ANC check BP, weight, blood, urine, protein in urine too, the doctors measure the tommy(they always have taperule) and one other thing they put in the tommy to check baby heartbeat

I also didn’t lactate well, in fact, my breast milk production is still poor, I supplement with Similac after noticing NAN optipro caused baby to seriously constipated.

Pls give baby warm water every time you feed, it will help make the stool softer.

Most time urine and blood pressure will indicate if there is any issue. if both urine and blood pressure are off (though most times this will be accompanied by some symptoms) then the Dr may request additional tests

Mine doesn't do most of the above for now. Even that baby heartbeat check is not done. Maybe at a later stage shaa but I will try and ask the doctor. Thanks a lot

dey cnt do any down syndrome test if ur scan dont show any abnormalities at 12weeks scan.

The first PCV I did was 41 % and the doctor shouted madam your husband dey try ooo
