Is Sadiq in my top 3 mentions for the CF role? So why make an irrelevant point comparing Ighalo and Sadiq.

Osimhen, Awo and Onuachu are the top 3. Is Sadiq there?

Look Man, Don't start. Rest with this Ighalo talk. Keep it away from my Mentions aiit. I speak the reality.

Bro, for now ighalo is a better option than onuachu and awoniyi. In awoniyi case, it’s very arguable but based on experience, ighalo nicks it. I have been impressed with awoniyi tho

If we make it to the AFCON final, whether we win or loss, it's very likely we take the number one spot on the FIFA ranking for Africa..All the teams above us in the ranking have dropped points to weaker oppositions...that works to our advantage... Tunisia are another strong opposition ranked above us.. If we beat them, it's more points for us

Even Senegal, if we meet them

Same way I won’t consider balogun as part of the team anymore after the World Cup

Don't mind our in-house Elite Clown. All pace, no brains indeed yet Zaidu has successfully held off the Wendell challenge to reclaim his place as first choice LB of Porto pre-afcon.
Zaidu isn't the most technical LB around but he is a fine mix of insane speed, power, strength and Decent technical qualities.

Never take that clown, komekn's opinions seriously especially when it concerns Naija players born and bred in Nigeria. He has always had a strong dislike for them from Osimhen to Iheanacho to Awoniyi to Zaidu to Sadiq to Chukwueze to Nwakali and like Kellycute says, very soon he will extend same bile to Akinkunmi Amoo (or he would avoid Amoo since he has now been called out on it predictively).

He is just trying to create a divide on our views here between the Home-grown talents based abroad and the Naija foreign born talents. But to the rest of us who truly support Naija football, like me for instance... I take them as all the same. I cover all them foreign borns and uncapped lads and the actual Super Eagles lads.
You know this... the rest know this. So please, ignore clowns and focus on the rich content you came here to read okay. Don't mind some detractors trying to cause wahala.

Isahalbash:

The person I quoted wasn't referring to this thread but fb or twitter where most people were dragging the Sadiq matter along tribal line instead of footballing. They called him all derogatory names; cow, aboki etc. They said he was invited based on "quota system, connection or a minister boy." If that was true, what about the other guy invited from the same league? Did anyone say he was invited based on quota system? Instead, she decided to pick what would suit her bias narrative that Northerners are defending Sadiq.

It was the same Komekn that Said Sanusi was all pace but no brain... A typical Aboki. Can't they just criticize without attaching where he comes from or using a derogatory word like "Aboki" to refer to all northerners?

Despite all the criticisms Onuachu faced, I never saw anyone calling his tribe or where he comes from when criticizing his performance.

I have never come here to clamor for the inclusion of any northerner or even hype any player before. I followed this thread because it was talking about Super Eagles and TheSupernerd previous thread talking about Nigerian players abroad not northerners.

Fine. If you think he is above Awo and the best player in Belgium then there's nothing I can do about it. It's your view on things.

But Awo is making a strong case for the #2 role in the CF position and as one who sits second to Aboubakar for total shots per game taken at this tournament, I expect that he will bag more goals and further cement his place as the go-to man after Osimhen and with competition from a returning Onuachu.

You are impressed with Awo. That's good. I hope he keeps impressing you enough to forget Ighalo. grin

Meanwhile Iggy scored yesterday. Still joint Top Scorer in the Saudi Pro League with 12 goals now. U for give us update naa. grin

Simon is from the north

he seems like an Igbo guy, going by his name

No dey use name

Do you know how many people from Kaduna, Plateau, and Adamawa especially that have two English names? Is Emmanuel Dennis with two English names not from Adamawa?

You see how nobody gave his own matter any ethnic coloration, because people made assumptions of his ethnicity, but come out with an ethnic name in Nigeria, and see how you get polarising treatment. It is an issue across the board, and I find it funny how people who are repeat offenders of this same thing want to pick offence.

Go and call Simon aboki, you will see how nobody will say anything to you, but call Sadiq same thing, and people are forming offended

Why can't they be offended on behalf of the ones with English names?

I don’t want to see ighalo after this afcon but I will always support him if the coaching crew calls him

I don’t want to see balogun after the World Cup also

One if 32 and one is 34 and none of them are even close to world class.

Maybe because he is not an aboki cheesy

They are all actually very mad, and they need to check their own discriminatory ways.

Clearly, their problem is with themselves and not with others

You cannot even say Sadiq is not good enough for this team, without one Northerner coming to accuse you of rubbish on Twitter.

Sadiq is not good enough. When we said Onuachu was not good enough, did you see Igbo people crying tribalism? And Onuachu is even better than him. People have said Ejuke has done poorly, Igbo people have not accused anyone of anything, Nwakali has gotten some slating, and we have not heard anybody shout "it is because he is Igbo", but one mediocre Sadiq boy that ruins our attack gets called out for playing nonsense and idiots are trying to bully people out of their opinions and claim ethnic bias.

Nobody has told us Sadiq is an aboki more than Northerners have these past few days. They should check themselves.

Watch this guy at Nantes and he is a beast but he will come to the national team and be playing nonsense

I have always believed in him ,didn’t tip him to start at this afcon I won’t lie ,was tipping chukwueze and ejuke but none of them have been close to Simon level

I just knew there was something about Simon ,he was an important during the 2018 World Cup qualifiers .
He is a consistent performer like ndidi. Why were happy for him is that, we're sure his performance isn't a one off thing.

Noooooo.... not this time Goodjoe. It is not an opinion when he continues to downgrade, vilify and deride our players with special focus on those who are homegrown.

He is a clown and a divisive nuisance. That is just me saying it as it is.

Even Jesus had to call the pharisees what they were. They too had "Opinions".
