The way Nigerians turn to YouTube bloggers when they arrive uk is really alarming hope they are paying them.

Everybody wan share informatian

Nigerians and the fear of doing their own thinking - always believing that someone who has bothered to prepare a presentation or a "write-up" no matter how inaccurate the information, must know something they don't.

Good day all.
Apologies if it’s been discussed before but I can’t seem to find it. Can someone point me in the direction of resources for an architect moving to the uk in terms of finding a job.

Nigerians see the tier 4 student visa as a settlement visa .I don't understand why any one would move with his entire family on a student visa at the same time he is departing arrive first hustle accommodation and understand the system a little like 3 months then bring your family . Traveling with family is stress ,then getting accommodation ,school for kid etc .we need to change strategy

It's stress many are happy to go through. Each to their own

I am not happy here, after putting in all my best in job interview for a PA role in one of the big four accounting firm, i was successful in the first stage I did in Nigeria, the final interview was in uk , I was asked the same questions which I knew I did well, just for me to receive a regret mail that I was unsuccessful, I keep asking my self what went wrong, is it because I don't have UK experience? I put in my best and have years of experience in the role. What went wrong ( feeling so sad). I need advice please.

What can I do to get adminstrative jobs in the UK, honestly I have been applying. I know the job that I can easily get is care work, but I don't really like it. Please I need advice to stand my feet in this UK what best to start doing.

Just need advice to be strong in this UK.

Please if there is anybody living in Northampton kindly let me know, I am really feeling alone here.

Many thanks

Start whatever level and job you are accepted from now.

You will definitely keep moving as time goes on until you reach the peak of whatever you want to be in the future.

Sometimes things happen, but in retrospect, you will thank God for EVERYTHING.

Cheers!

Hi. I saw your PM. Apologies for not responding as I no longer have the password to that email.

To your question, what course did you study?

I think your best bet would be to explore the Msc nursing with registration. It’s a 2 years masters degree program that comes with licensing to practice in the UK. A lot of unis only offer it to those with first degree in medical/biomedical studies. I understand some other unis admit people regardless of what you studied in your undergraduate.

Your assignment will be to search and find out which universities offer it to those without a degree in medical sciences assuming your first degree is not in either medical Or biomedical.

Cost wise, it will depend on the tuition of the university you choose as each university’s tuition differs from another but you should be looking at nothing less than 9k a year, bear in mind it’s a two years course so we are talking about 18k.
You then have to also factor in costs of visa, flights, proof of funds (maintenance fee) and all, tuberculosis test. These other details you can find on the student thread really.

I hope this helps and gives you idea of what to do. Others will hopefully contribute

Thank you for the clarification, really helpful. Studied Geology, can the M.Sc be done with it?
Thank you once again.

Regarding the bolded, you may never know. If they do provide feedback, it may or may not indicate why they really didn't want you for the job and might most likely cover generic stuff which may or may not be made up ("candidate appeared unsure of themselves", "candidate did not display an in-depth knowledge of the job role", etc., etc.) It's all subjective anyway, so don't stress too much about it.

Regarding the italicised, you keep trying. Try not to get discouraged. It is very easy to get discouraged in face of the deluge of rejections the average dark-skinned jobseeker receives, but you can only allow yourself brief moments of feeling sad, then pick up your pen (abi your internet enabled device) and continue the applications process. As someone else has pointed out and as common sense dictates, you may have to content yourself with something lower level to get a foot on the ladder and start earning to pay those ever-increasing Boris bills while you keep on going. Make your peace with that, and quickly too, even if its the unwanted care home job, call centre or whatever, because the greatest threat to anyone's successful living here is unmanaged expectations.

And a PA position is not one to kill oneself about. It's a very subjective, personal preference position. Put simply, the paler your skin, the more likely you are to be deemed suitable. Digest that, and move on.

That will be for you to find out.
Load up your internet data, hit the internet and start browsing universities and see those who take non-medical related courses and find out if yours can fit, and any other requirements.

Please help!!!!
I am a Masters student.
I have collected my BRP and applied for my NI number.
I have been in the UK for over 2 weeks now. I have been looking for Part time job (warehouse operative, sales assistant e.t.c) to kick start and office work based on my qualifications but haven’t gotten any yet. I have registered with quite a number of agencies.
Please can you recommend a reliable agency or website that can help. I currently stay in crick, Northampton.

I hold a degree from a uK university and am an ACCA UK qualified chartered accountant with years of experience in nigeria.

Please your kind response will be appreciated

Search for their website. You must qualified with ACCA or ICAN, you can either experience, as a graduate or part qualified
