Agu's words in november last year, "..We have heard a lot about him, but in honesty we have resolved not to bring in new players considering the sensitivity of the qualifiers. We would only invite players we have been working with before.."

These mofos are clowns.

If Alloy Agu wasn't given a chance, would he have the chance to be a GK trainer today?
Why is he biased, egoistic and sentimental?
Was that how he was treated during his playing days?

Noble has no business been invited,he is not even first choice in his team,he is not even amongst the best in the NPFL. His invitation is based on corruption.

Akpeyi has not replicated his club form for the S.E .Its glaring for all to see that anytime he dorns the green white green,he fidgets a lot.
Then why invite him?

I blame Rohr for making Okoye first choice. We don't need a soothsayer to tell us of that he used the S.E to get his career where it is today.

So why can't the Adeleke Adebayo get his own opportunity? Besides he is better than all the Four GKs we paraded in Afcon 2021.

Only Uzoho should be retained for now.
Okoye should be in the fold only when he proves himself in the EPL with Watford.

* Adeleke Adebayo
* Francis Uzoho
* Any other 2 goal keepers from the NPFL

Alloy Agu has no business been in the team,he should be fired Asap.

Our footballers main issues has been Discipline, consistency, Growth and professionalism. The likes of Kanu, finidi, okocha, oliseh was equally as talented as anyone playing their position worldwide but they lacked some of those aforementioned traits.

You are right though. At one point Finidi George at his peak was regarded as the best right winger in world..

Dude was voted the best right sided midfielder in the world in 1998 ahead of Figo and Zanetti...
Finidi as a midfielder scored 16 goals for Real Betis in La Liga.

If only we have wingers with such intelligence now. I don't think Finidi dribbled much but his speed, off the ball running and tactical intelligence, crossing and passing + dead ball ability are some of the best I've seen of any African winger....

Beautiful highlight. I love when he scores with his head. For a short guy, I feel like when he scores with his head it should be counted as two goals.

He should keep developing in the Scandinavian league. He shouldn't go to Rangers, they play similar football with the middle teams in England and it's just boring.

I hope he ends up seria A or laliga. I think if he goes to England, he might just play like a short version of Adama Traore

Some peeps are so quick to dismiss uncanny talents because those talents have not been tested in the so called big leagues.

Amoo has real talent, i don't care what league that he is in. He will destroy some big name defenders. Reminds me of Ike Uche, but way more lateral movement, more direct.
kobenhevan just signed him this transfer window

So many simps and weak men on this thread

You guys heard oneside of a story and before even waiting for official investigations to be concluded, you rush to crucify Mason Greenwood.

Remember that there are always two sides to a story. And these girls would do anything for a pay-out. Reminds me of Neymar saga.

I don't care about injuries. I'll wait for investigations to be concluded before passing verdict.

Also remember that the west is a gynocentric society and would support women irrespective of evidence

Make una dey use una sense. Look deep into the issue. Something is fishy

I had intentions of replying some of them but later decided that it's of no use.

Whiteknights will be Whiteknights.

Hopefully none of them gets to be on the bad end of something as terrible as a false rape accusation because not only will it teach them to wait for verifiable evidence and a reputable Court's judgement before they go about judging people, it'll also show them what it feels like to be abandoned by everyone they love, everyone they know, just because a woman said so cool

then what about Uzoho playing for liga 2 then, he was drafted in, took over from Ezenwa, how did he lost his spot

then came Maduka from division 4, like Uzoho he played little with his the main team, while still the numero uno in 4 tier,

seeing the need to develop further both left their respective clubs, Uzoho to Cyprus, while maduka to Holland, from their both continue their improvement, while Uzoho had been blighted by injuries, that of Maduka had to do with a porous defenders, all same, they still continued, Maduka will later take over as his club no1, while Uzoho was looking for game time,

few years later Uzoho had been relegated to second spot at club, while Maduka signs for a EPL club

in all of this there is a certain goalkeeper trainer not doing his job, as he should in the national team, those guys can still come good,

Let's us use the Social Media to force Eguavoen, Agu and the technical crew to give the Israeli GK a chance. From the little I saw,he can displace all the GKs we paraded in Afcon 2021.
I believe there are better GKs here in Nigeria and they may not necessarily be in the NPFL .
Alloy Agu is a fraud.

I know there are forumites here who knows or have people in influential positions that can force the hands of the S.E handlers.

Adebayo Adeleye must be made Super Eagles number 1.
I want to see him in goal against Ghana in the world cup Qualifiers.

The Ghanaian would go on rampage against the S.E. I expect them to shoot from every angle knowing fully well that our G.Ks are bad.

Which Agu the one that had fail to inspire the keepers on ground

Border line criminal that this obvious talent was overlooked when the coaching crew knows we are short of quality goalkeepers at the moment.

Adeleye should ASAP be called for the March qualifiers but let's all hold of giving a definitive judgment of his quality until we see him live.

Youtube videos always show the best side of a player. Now now I can drop videos of Okoye, Akpeyi and Uzoho looking world class.

Definitely looks promising but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Let's see Adebayo in action live first.

Finidi was good for 5-6 seasons. His move to Betis was a bit of a downgrade. He should have been playing his best years at clubs like Real Madrid who funnily enough were interested before he left Ajax.

Finidi is one of the few Nigerian players I would say played his peak for club and national team for many years.

Remember the dead rubber game at the last WCQ that ended 1-1? Ezenwa kept in that game and that was the beginning of the end for him, he was having problems dealing with them crosses all game long. Rushing out at the slightest provocation.

I still very much believe Okoye would come good as he matures.

Empower Eguavoen now, editors urge NFF
By Gowon Akpodonor

The Guild of Sports Editors has urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to, without delay, announce and empower Super Eagles Interim Coach, Augustine Eguavoen, as the manager of the senior national team, which is billed to meet Ghana in a two-leg Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier in March.

The Guild, which noted, that the time is too late for the NFF to start talking of picking a foreign coach for the task of qualifying Nigeria for Qatar 2022, said Eguavoen has shown that given adequate support he can return the Super Eagles to the summit of world football.

Rising from a meeting in Lagos at the weekend, the body, which is the umbrella association of managers of sports in the country’s major media houses, said, “Nigerians will not forgive the NFF if it bungles the country’s bid to qualify for the World Cup.”

Speaking through its president, Mr. Tony Ubani, the Guild said: “Qualifying for the Qatar 2022 World Cup is the most important task before managers of the country’s football. They must ensure that nothing goes wrong.

“The whole world saw in Cameroun that Nigeria’s problem is not hinged on lack of quality players. Rather, the country was held down by a lethargic system, which did not allow the player’s opportunity to express their talents.

“Within a few weeks of taking over the team, Eguavoen unleashed the potential in the Super Eagles such that he was voted as the best coach of the first round at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroun.

“Although we lost, unfortunately, in the round of 16, Eguavoen has created a plank on which the Super Eagles can thread to success given the necessary support.

“We, therefore, call on the NFF to, as a matter of urgency, name and empower Eguavoen to start preparing the Super Eagles for the games against Ghana. Time is of essence.”

Warning that Nigerians will not forgive the NFF if the Eagles failed to pick one of the five Qatar 2022 tickets, the Guild of Editors told members of the federation’s board to be ready to resign en mass should the country fail to qualify for the World Cup.

The body also reminded Sports Minister, Chief Sunday Dare, that qualifying and performing creditably at the 2022 World Cup is the biggest sports assignment facing the Federal Government this year.

“The minister should, therefore, provide the enabling environment for the NFF to prepare the Super Eagles for the games against Ghana.

“Fortunately, the Federal Government has brought the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja back to life. There are also other quality stadiums to host the Nigerian leg of the matches, so, the focus should now be solely on preparing the national team for the matches,” the body said.

3-4 years ke? What are you saying? Go and watch his exploits from 1993 to 2001. There's a reason why the legendary goalsfather, Rashidi Yekini, is quoted as saying " omo gidi ni Finidi". It's not a coincidence that Yekini's peak years in the SE between 1992 and 1994 was due to the presence of Finidi, who supplied many killer passes and crosses to the great man.

The typical player peaks around ages 25-26, and that decline typically hits hardest as players enter their 30s. Do you want a list of European players that declined before their 30s?

Consistent at the top. Meaning his ajax and betis level. Finidi gave ajax 2 World class season and betis 3 World class seasons. Prior to that, he was at a local club sharks (records aren’t available) and after betis, he was done. Now, compare that to how many world clas seasons the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, zlatan, Modric has given football

Unfortunately opta stats weren't available in Finidi's time but he was crazy effective with his crossing. When I was a kid I remember watching a bit of the 7-1 hammering that Nigeria dealt on Burkina Faso and a young Finidi dropped 4 assists (I think not 100% sure) in that game. USA 1994 he dropped 2 assists plus his well delivered corner led to the goal against Italy in the 2nd round. France 98 another 2 assists. No winger before or after Finidi has come near his performances for us in the national team.
