The woman is at fault there, anytime u want to do transactions and don't know what to do.. better call the security and not call other customers to assist..

From the video, the woman said a customer behind her told her to put her pin and she did and left when it didn't pay without she leaving with her card or calling the attention of the security.

Keep quiet. That's not my Bank, but the card was never trapped. It was swapped by fraudster standing with her on the ATM. They monitored her Pin and slot in a stolen card that was seized

the machine swallowed the card on Saturday and got an alert for a POS that same day... maybe my dad twin later went back to retrieved the card to complete the transaction through POS then returned the card to it previous position.

Whereas the real ATM card is still with the person....after that the person walked to the nearest pos and withdrew all the money

Because you can't use ATM machine to withdrew more than 150,000

If you cant use a card, you dont need a Card.

People should also have an Expense bank account where small daily money (small amounts) is kept.

Your Main Account should not have any other access, except Personal, bank hall Withdrawal.

Please don't quote me accusing me indirectly as I don't troll here while expressing my views.
Some customers insist that they can use the card on different terminals and it is issued to them.
If they have challenges at the ATM and urgently need the funds while avoiding POS charges, the security Officer can be of help.

I tot daily withdrawal form ATM is 100k how come bank allow withdrawal of upto 250k?. Just asking incase anyone have an answer.

Avoid banks that are prone to fraud, banks like Access, uba, first, gtb, eco, zenith and the rest. Go and open you a union bank. Buhari's share in that bank is making it one of the best and still standing banks in Nigeria.

Yes you're right, I've stopped him from using debits cards since then, he has no business using what he doesn't understand, he learnt his lessons the hard way and he now withdraw cash the old fashioned way, by going personally to the bank then using a teller

Ignorance is a disease.....See the woman being so sure that Firstbank stole the money. When the woman is calm let her explain what happened.

Before I explain the most likely scenario, No one will use your ATM card without knowing your pin. Your pin is personal don't share it.

What I feel most happened. The lady got to the ATM and sought assistance. Some fraudster elected to help and deftly swapped her card with another one. While asking her to enter her pin. Entering the wrong pin on that card will cause the machine to seize the card. The fraudster is now armed with the ATM and pin and can do whatever he/she wants. Advice is to never disclose your pin to anyone.

The bank won't steal your money. There are too many checks to ensure it doesn't happen. The big question then becomes are we playing our part by keeping our details confidential?

I was so shocked and realized what it feels like to be scammed either in Naira, Pounds or Dollars.
I remembered on June 4, 2021 everything in my first bank account was cleared also and i summoned courage to go and pray because it was Friday. When i got to one of first bank branch to complain the desk officer was pained and showed me how the money was deducted and told me that it was a Lien issues and it takes 30days before they can return the money. Long story short ....first bank didn't till today and i will never forget. I thanked my creator that I had just moved part of my salary from that account that day and it is a never again sayings for me. E NOR GO BETTER FOR FIRST BANK AND THIEVES THERE.
